    Wish I would have looked here before opting into their program. The money I deposited took longer than usual to fund in the Greenlight account. After funding, we expected our debit card to arrive the next week. Never did. We contacted GL to send a new card, which we were told would take another 2 weeks. It's been over two weeks and no second card. SO they have sat on a few hundred dollars, invested it as they see fit, while we sit here not being able to use the funds. When I asked to cancel the account and receive a refund, they responded, it wasn't their problem that the account had no activity. Great way to show how you handle business folks. Steer clear!

    Advise anyone looking for this kind of platform to STAY AWAY. Still being charged over a year later. Purposeful to make it as difficult as possible. Extremely disappointed. We have all the digital and conversational documentation to back up claims. It's essentially a scam. I am STILL fighting to cancel the accounts and the monthly charges.

    Started as a great experience, but they change their policies without warning. They say you can transfer money instantly with a debit card, but then will randomly stop allowing your debit cards. Using the bank they will hold your money for DAYS before putting it in your child's account.

    Super disappointed. I got these cards for my sons who were 10 & 12 (now 12 & 14). One of their cards information was compromised, we live in ********** and I got a $80.21 charge from a subway in ********. I called greenlight right away and they said there was nothing they could do unitl the charge was settled. They suspended the card so no further charges could be made. So I contacted them two days later and the were going to investigate the charge. I reached out a couple months later and they said that there was nothing they could do because there was a 60 day timeline that I didn't adhere to. They looked up my account an saw that I called, but that I didn't file the formal request on the **** Ridiculous we paid $10/month for safety a protections that ended up not existing! BEWARE!!!

    They do not ***** fraudulent charges. They allow their accounts to be compromised and then when you try to dispute the charges it’s and act of congress to get the money refunded to the account.

    Terrible company and service. Hard to get a hold of someone you can understand. Only help is a call center. Technical issues, expensive for what it is and having no help. Borderline fraud is how I feel. My money and investments randomly disappear and no one can explain why it accidentally liquidated all our stuff. Im ****** and I hate this company would never recommend. They should be investigated. Great idea, poor execution.

    Greenlight has reviewed the concerns raised by *********************** and we aim to provide clarity and address any remaining questions. On 11/18/2024, *********************** downgraded her Greenlight Plan from Greenlight Infinity to Greenlight Core, which altered her investment capabilities. The Greenlight Infinity plan allows customers to transfer funds to our investment feature and trade various stocks. However, the Greenlight Core plan does not include this feature. Additional information about our plans and their features can always be found ******************************************* a result of the downgrade, the stocks and ETFs held by both secondary cardholders were automatically liquidated, and the remaining balance of $710 was transferred to the Parent Wallet within ***** hours.On 11/19/2024, the Ms. ******** upgraded to the Greenlight Max plan, which included investment features, and attempted to reinvest $730 into the investment account. However, due to the account change occurring within a 24-hour window, Ms. ******** was unable to reinvest the funds immediately. On 11/20/2024, a member of our Customer Support team explained the situation and a ticket was submitted to our investment vendor which has since been resolved as of 11/21/***** of 11/21/2024, Ms. ********* Greenlight Plan has been successfully upgraded back to the Greenlight Max plan, and Ms. ******** may now proceed with investing. We trust this resolution addresses the matter, and we consider it closed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    I've been trying to cancel my account for months. They say you can click a cancel account button but the button doesn't exist. You can't contact a human for their consumer service. They give you a link to cancel and the link is just to download the app I already have. They've been charging me every month even though the card I have on file is expired because I'm purposely not updating it. This company is disgusting and greedy

    Terrible company. Their website is utterly useless. You can't do anything from a website. They expect you to use only a phone app. The phone app is terrible. **************** is absolutely terrible. Everyone is on headsets filled with water, you can't understand anything anyone is saying and they do a terrible job at "helping" you. Avoid at all costs.There are way better financial cards/services available to provide your children with. Look for a card that is an extension of full fledge bank/credit company such as ***************, ****** **********, ********. You will have a better experience and your young adult will get a more standard experience with a more professional company.

    On 09/29/24, ******* Wiegly contacted Greenlight to close his Greenlight account and requested a full refund. Mr. ******* informed Greenlight that the debit card on file was deactivated and requested the refund be issued to the ******** account on file. The *** account on file had previously only loaded a small amount, so for security purposes the request was escalated for further review. On 10/01/24, the refund was initiated and Mr. ******* was made aware of the anticipated processing time. At this time, Mr. ******** Greenlight account is closed and a full refund of all remaining funds has been issued. We apologize for the negative experience, as we strive to provide the best customer service to our customers.

    I made an account with the app for my teenager thinking itd be an amazing way for her to earn money and manage it responsibly while I could monitor it too. I added her 300$ worth of birthday money on it right before vacation. I get an email at ten pm out of nowhere stating they locked her account up because they didnt recognize her dads credit card and wanted 3 forms of ID and 3 business days to solve. No phone call or nothing. This is unacceptable to randomly lock a teenagers account. What if she had been out of the house and that was her only means of income?!? So I decided to cancel the account and not take that risk again. They say 5-7 business days to get my money back. Ive emailed every day to keep updated on it. On the 7th day I emailed asking where it was and now all of a sudden with no notice the last 7 days of emailing back and forth, I have to call because the return is also locked now. After waiting on hold for 30 mins while on vacation I reach someone who tells me itll be another 1-3 business days to get my money bc he had to remove the lock. When I asked why I wasnt told 7 days ago I needed to call I got no response. So it took 9 business days to get my daughters birthday money that she wanted for vacation. Its criminal they can have that kind of customer service and effect on peoples lives with no repercussions.

    On 09/18/2024 ******** ******* transferred $200 from a funding source that was not in her name or an Authorized Approvers name to her Greenlight Parent Wallet. The $200 was then moved to the child. Shortly after this transaction, another $20 was added from the same funding source and moved to the child. For security reasons, Greenlights policy requires all funding sources to be associated with the Primary Accountholder or Authorized Approver. If the name on the funding account does not match the name of the Primary Accountholder or Authorized Approver, a temporary hold is placed on the Greenlight debit card until the verification process is completed. On 09/18/2024, a Greenlight team member reached out to Ms. ******* to inform her of the temporary hold. They provided the necessary steps to remove the hold and verify the funding source, and confirmed that the estimated time frame for a resolution is 3 business days. Ms. ******* requested to have the temporary hold removed or a refund immediately. She chose not to follow the verification process to remove the hold, and decided to close her Greenlight account via the app. Upon closing the account through the app, Ms. ******* was notified that a refund would be issued within 5-7 business days to the funding source on file. On 09/23/2024, Ms. ******* contacted Greenlight to request a refund. A representative responded and confirmed that a refund would be issued within 5-7 business days from the time the account was closed via the app. On 09/26/2024, Ms. ******* reached out to Greenlight again to inquire about the refund. She was escalated to the second tier of customer support, where the refund was manually issued after all funds had settled. A refund of $311 was issued to the funding source on file. We apologize for the inconvenience and negative experience.
