Promised they changed my spark plugs and ignition coils. They did not. Oil Filter was damaged. AAA is claiming I am now in need of $1000 of work and this isn't okay. It hasn't been a full year and no one wants to help me. I don't trust them to do the work or correct it. But I would like compensation to fix this.

      2/11/2022 Response to 16738174:

      To whom it *** concern,
This is a response to ********************** concern about replacement of the coils and spark plugs.  On 4/21/21, ********************** vehicle came into our shop with the Fault code P0301 (Cylinder #1 Misfire detected) logged in the engine control module.

After our evaluation, we recommended replacing the faulty coil on cylinder #1, which had triggered the check engine light. We also recommended replacing the coils on cylinders #2 #3 and #4 and the spark plugs due to age and mileage. ******************** chose not to follow our advice and elected to only replace the coil on the cylinder that had failed at that time (cylinder #1) and spark plugs.  See attached fault code printout and a copy of her invoice, which shows the fault code print-out clearly states we only replaced coil #1.

We contacted the service advisor at AAA Auto Repair (******) to inquire about the coils and sparkplugs and to ask about the damaged oil filter ******************** referenced. Regarding the coils and spark plugs, ****** confirmed that, when the car came to them, there was one new coil and three much older coils (possibly the original coils).  We also requested a list of the fault codes from ******. He said he would provide this information. However, as of  2/11/22, he hasnt provided this information. We were hoping for printed code list.  This way we could verify cylinder #1 was functioning correctly.

****** stated they recommended replacing all four coils and spark plugs as a set, the same as we had. Without the benefit of having the opportunity to evaluate the car, we can only assume one or more of the three older coils had failed (as coil #1 did ****** miles earlier, which caused us to replace it). Regarding the spark plugs. I can only assume the sparkplugs replacement was recommended by AAA Auto Repair because there were multiple misfires due to the three older coils that *** have caused an issue with two or more of the recently replaced sparkplugs. It appears that AAA then recommended replacing all the sparkplugs.

Had ******************** followed our recommendation and done the complete repair at our shop (as she ultimately did with AAA Auto Repair), there likely wouldnt have been a subsequent ignition system failure.  This new situation causing her to go to AAA Auto Repair was not due to a failure on our part. Its a result of aged and worn parts failing (and ********************** failure to follow our earlier recommendation to replace those parts).
Regarding ********************** statement that her oil filter was damaged, ****** told us that he didnt mention the oil filter being damaged and conformed this by reviewing the technicians notes.

I trust this information will help resolve this issue.

I took my car to Braxton Automotive Asian Auto repair to repair my cooling fans. After receiving the car from Braxton the engine fans were not repaired. Both are still not functioning. But the larger concern is my car is severely leaking fluid, overheating, and white smoke is appearing from the engine bay. I received my car from Braxton with more issues that when I took it in. I have sent a video to Braxton the leaking and smoke. For resolution I would like a refund of $502.21 of all the charges on my vehicle.
