Had a mammogram in October 2023 and had to pay out of pocket until my health care was reinstated to cover the procedure (company lay-off and I had to apply for Cobra with the company paying the premium.) 12/6/23 I phoned the insurance company who called Piedmont billing with me on the other end, was told the entire amount was paid by the provider and $315.90 would be placed in my account in **** business day. Called on 12/22 to get an update and was told I was told incorrect information and it would take 30 days for the refund. I provided a different account number to place the money in since it was indicated that the payment had not been made. Called today 1/11/24 and was told that the information was incorrect that it only takes about 3-5 days for the money to be placed in my account (which should have taken placed no later than 12/11/23 but they sent the check in the mail on 1/2/24 and I was advised to wait another ***************************************************************************************** state at the time of the appointment. I asked for a manager and was told that it would take 48hrs for someone to get back to me, but not on a Saturday, but Monday. Phoned their compliant department to explain what was going on and asked for a resolution of placing a stop payment on the check and me picking up the check for $315.90 and was told that they would try to have to get someone to call me back as they don't know what the billing procedure is.

I scheduled ****am appointment with my primary care physician at Piedmont for July 24, 2023. When I arrived at ****am 7/24/23, I was told that my appointment had been rescheduled to 8am and I had missed my appointment. The registrar told me I could not be seen that day so I left without being seen. I was not notified of the scheduling change. I would have never agreed to an 8am appointment. Piedmont can send a text, email, and many other ways of telling patients about changes. I did not receive any. I have been receiving a monthly bill for ***** since July for the 8am appointment I missed since I wasn't notified. I have attempted to resolve the following ways with no success: 7/28 - told my provider in person during office visit about scheduling problem and was told charge would be reversed if it was assessed, 8/3 emailed provider again via mychart, 8/8 spoke via email to ******************************* via mychart, 9/2 communicated with ***************************, 9/25 spoke with provider in person and Chiffon via email, 10/23 again spoke with ******* (office manager) via phone, 10/25 spoke to registrar during checkin for lab appt and was told I was on *******'s list to all. See mychart messages for supporting documentation in Piedmont EMR.

Piedmont ********************* has turned this over to debt collection / lawyer.

They are asking for $527.85. I have never seen or received a bill for this amount. (PDF5516)

Therefore, I responded "This is not my debt and returned via U.S. mail.

I have received a request from the same debt collection / lawyer for my last four social security number and my date of birth. (PDF5616)

I will comply with the request.

Around August 28,2023 i went to Piedmont Hospital where they took an X-ray and a cat scan of my feet where they found a small piece of metal. I was on antibiotics from the time they got blood and realized that an infection had gotten in my blood stream. I couldnt get surgery until after September 4, 2023 due to the fact that was a holiday. Received the surgery. Got out a few days later. **** never left a number in my discharge paper to make a follow up appointment. I found a doctor myself that said they really didnt want to do much because they didnt do the procedure. I went back to er that same exact day at Piedmont where they got in contact with the doctor that did my surgery. But, prior to that I called the doctor ****** where I was suppose to get the follow up they said he didnt accept my insurance. Started seeing the doctor that did the surgery once a week from that point. He asked me was I done with the 2 week supply of antibiotics that were given to me at discharge. I told him yes. Not one time did they take blood to see was I clear of the infection. A week go pass and my wound started to smell and swelling. I started expressing my concerns to him and all he would say is everything is ok and wrap my feet back up. I ended up getting a sick. Went to the Er at ***** Hospital where they got blood and the infection was still in my blood. I ended up having an mri where they found an abscess on my. I later had to get something did to feet where they tested my bones and now I have the infection in my bones. I was in the hospital for 10 days. I expressed my concern to him because I was very worried if getting sicker or possibly having to get something cut off due to the face I am a type 2 diabetic.

March 2023, I set up a payment plan with Piedmont Healthcare to pay off approximately $840. Around August 2023, I started receiving collection call and thought it was scam. The calls persisted, and upon my research when I contacted Piedmont on 9/21/23, I was advised that my account was indeed sent to collections in error. I spoke to ***** who was very helpful. She requested the account to be removed from collections and stop my monthly payment plan until the issue was resolved. During our conversation she advised there was about an additional $400 due. She advised she wanted to review the account first as I already made a total payment of $833.46 from March 2023 - Aug 2023. The amount sent to collections was $823.50 (Services from 1/3/23 - 2-21-23). I called back to on 10/4/23 and spoke to ******* who attempted to review the account. I was advise the amount of $656.94 was received back from collections and they were still waiting for $166.56 with service date of 2/21/23. She advised I owed a total of $1258.98 and my balance was $656.94. I could not understand why my balance was that high, if the total balance was $1258.98 and I already paid $833.46; my balance should be $425.52 as my most recent visits in August were not yet posted. I requested copies of the bills to review as she advised my payments went to other invoices but did not she did not elaborate (no dates or amounts provided). Instead of researching the issue, ******* disconnected the call. I am not sure if I am going to receive the invoice copies requested. I understand errors happen, ***** took accountability on behalf of the company and need time to research the issue and would give me a call back. I also did not have any issue when ******* advised callbacks are sometimes delayed due call volume. What I take issue with was ******* deliberately disconnected the call. I would not have an issue if she advised she needed to review further and call me back. It was unprofessional.

Two years ago, my wife was treated at the emergency room. We were under **** insurance from **********. We just got a bill (about a month ago) from Piedmont claiming we owe $1200. When we contacted **** they have record of a canceled check that they sent payment on. When we talked with the Piedmont billing department (several times) they claim they have no record of it (although during one conversation they said they have the check number). The same check number provided by ****. We tried to get Piedmont billling to contact **** by they refuse do so. **** won't fax me a copy of the canceled check, so I'm stuck in the middle. Piedmont billing needs to call **** and work this out, this should not be our problem. Especially since Piedmont has alreday recevied payment and are trying to DOUBLE BILL!!!!!

I called Piedmont health as I had an outstanding bill that needed to be paid (that they had not reached out to me about). When I called their billing department and inquired as to any other payments that were outstanding, I got a very vague "well we are still processing things from your daughter's delivery in May 2022 and we may have more bills for you" without any specifics. Note, I have had multiple bills since then and have paid them over $7,000 in fees that were not covered by my insurance. I even called my insurance company ************ and they said there were no outstanding items being processed, that everything charged and processed at the time of her birth has already been done. I would like PIedmont to stop threatning me with further fees as I do not owe anything further, and would like an explanation of why they seem to think there may be more I need to pay 16 months later.

I went to Piedmont ****** in ********* on 2/23/23 and 2/28/23 and I have emailed and called Piedmont several times, at least 6 times, about filing the bills with the primary EOB's to my secondary insurance. I can not get a response from them at all and do not need this turned over on my credit. The billing department does not want to do their jobs.

My doctor referred me to ***************************************, of Piedmont Physicians Surgical Specialists *****, who I think a lot of. I received a voice mail advising me that I had an appointment with **************** on 07/11/2023. I called the ***** office that called me twice. I finally talked to someone on the second call. I told her that I had another doctors appointment at the same time on 07/11/2023 and I would have to reschedule. She said to let her know. I then received a letter on 07/14/2023 stating that I was being billed $50 because I missed a scheduled appointment with *************, MD. I missed an appointment that I did not have. And they are implying that I should reschedule appointments via MyChart.com at least 24 hours ahead of time. I had no knowledge of MyChart.com and advised them of the conflicting dates very much ahead of 24 hours. Since I did not know MyChart.com existed, how could I reschedule via the web site? This is my first written communication from this office in years. I dont think what they are doing is lawful. Patients should not be charged for violating a policy that did not know existed. And these are the people who operate on people? I am genuinely afraid at this point.
