Signed contract 7/28. Paid 1/3 of total job down ($10, 395 of $31,500). **** said it would take approximately one month after work started which kept getting put off. I requested refund of my down payment until work actually started which he denied. Kept making empty promises. Electrical work and most insulation was done and some framing, but less than $8K (less than 1/4 of job) completed.Business Response

This is not a valid complaint for the personal injury attorneys at Monge & Associates. The complaint is regarding a dispute with a contracting company and should not have been submitted for our law firm and should not be listed as a complaint for our **************** Monge & Associates. Monge & Associates is a Personal Injury law firm and the complaint is in regards to a dispute with an Electrician/HVAC/Contractor from ******* Construction and to please remove and address with the correct company. Information regarding the customers dispute are in the complaint and in the attachments the complainant provided giving further information regarding who the complaint is for.

This scammer w an insufficient phone number is claiming to be w monge and associates using various phone numbers. People are not getting there cases done because they are not a legit company they are scammer !!!Business Response

Working with Monge @ Associates was a big mistake. I started with an attorney named *****************************. Apparently, she quit working for the firm but no one bothered to tell me. However, the settlement came through and I received 1/3 of $25,000.00 Why they got the same money as the client is crazy. They kept 1/3 back in a Trust to help pay the hospital bill. They didnt try to negotiate with the hospital to get the bill reduced. The problem ** having is that they wouldnt give the money they have holding in Trust to *****************. The bill is $27,487.97 and they have $8,283.33 that they would not send to pay the hospital. If they will negotiate with the hospital the bill would be less. The hospital said they never called them to negotiate. I have sent emails, made phone calls and recently sent a certified letter to the managing attorney named ***************************, who refuse to return my calls, and copied ********************* who maybe an office clerk. They give me the runaround every time. I dont know what else to do. How can a law firm be so irresponsible and unprofessional. They have paid themselves before they have completed their job. The client should be the one to pay them after the job is completed. Once these lawyers get their money they dont give two cents about you. ************************ is about to put me in collections where my credit will be ruined. This is a simple fix why are they not completing the job. Please help me get this matter resolved.Business Response

On or about 02/28/2020 I was involved in an auto accident. On or about 03/10/2020 i retained Monge and Associates to handle my case. After three years and as many lawyers. My case still remains unresolved. On or about 11/15/2022 when I spoke with *********************** the latest attorney assigned to my case. To request a copy of my case file. ************** informed me of a supposed letter from a worker compensation Dr. **** i had no knowledge of until i asked for the copy of my file. This after three separate lawyers and three years of me not being able to get any satisfaction in my case. To date i have not received the requested copy of my case file. Hired monge and associates in 2020 and have had two attorneys that left without a proper transition of my case. The third time it was transferred to a case manager who did not return calls or emails after several attempts to contact her. Poor communication, dont seem to care about the outcome of my case. Never sent any correspondence related to the case. Should have given my business to another more professional attorney and practice. Wouldnt recommend them!!
