About 2 years ago I paid Virtual Imaging $6000 for 10 full body scans to be used over a 10 year period. I am now on my 3rd year and would like my 3rd of 10 scans. I have been trying to schedule and appoint with them for days. I have a text message from them from last week saying someone would contact me to schedule an appointment. I have also in the days following called and left several messages saying that I would like to schedule my next appointment. Nobody is answering the phones and nobody is returning my calls.Business Response

Virtual Imaging (VI) offers in the radio a free scan. ******* ******* and ***** ****** are the ones that promote this offer in *****************. I went on 01/14/2025 to the VI office in ******* to get my heart scan however, in my opinion, this offer is just to bait you buy a long plan service. The speech is similar as a timeshare seminar, which I dont mind but after I was clear I would need a day to think about it, the salesperson, ****** *******, changed her attitude to negative and rude. Was not a good experience at all however at but at the end I got the heart scan, bad news are they never emailed me my scan results, so their promise wasnt fulfilled. My expectation is to get my results. I notify by email this issue to the salesperson but didn't get a response.Business Response

At a festival, a booth attendant stopped me, my wife, and our 8 week old child. She offered me a $50 heart and lung CT scan. I said I was interested, then she said my wife would need to buy one too as it was a 2 for $99 deal.Fine, thats okay I agreed. $99 is still a good deal after all. Then when I got home I did research about this 'company' and it turns out, it's just one guy, and the service offered is NOT a CT scan. The service offered is actually an information session, wherein I am required to be interviewed for 30 minutes while they apply sociology pressure to convince me to buy a $10,000 health subscription.Think thats bad? It's worse. According to their made up policy (not told to me or listed on the contract) not only do I have to sit through the 30 minute timeshare health seminar, my wife is required to be present at the same time in the same room.Pretty weird huh? It gets worse. They also have a policy (not listed on the contract or said to me in person) that children are not allowed in the building...So they are requiring both caregivers to sit through a health presentation/mind control, while separated from our 8 week old child, which was, I remind you, used as a selling tactic by the woman at the fair who signed me up.This is not what I signed up for, which is a medical image.Business Response

Dear BBB,
I have personally worked with *** to resolve his concerns and refund his $99. He never actually came into our office or met with any of our staff.
I have invited him to come in as my guest and scan with absolutely no strings attached.
He has since removed his negative ****** review so I believe he feels that his concerns have been addressed.
I have attached screen shots from my text exchange with *** that will support my response to the BBB.
Best Regards,

My Self and my significant other had an appointment on June 21,2024 for a free Heart scan&Brain Firstly there was a high blood pressure sales pitch presented by an upselling salesperson that seemed to last for hours as if you were held captive in one room.I was eventual told they would do in-house financing minus the1580.0 we had already paid for the scan we had agreed to that day for a full body scan. We were then told that they I could only do care credit. I was then told that the interest rate was high, and we declined.I did verbally agree to the1580.00 for the body scan only for that day in the office. We did not agree to any long-term plan. My debit card was charged for $1580.00, and we had our body scans and left. A Few days later the salesperson called stating that they had come up with a cheaper plan for$4000and I could put it on care credit. And then told that they could not do in house financing because I did not sign the correct paperwork to authorization for automatic debit, and I declined I did agree to the $1580the day we were there for the scan we received that day.I then reassured the salesperson that I only authorized the debit card payment for the $1580.00.Then I find out they had charged my Care Credit $4000.00 plus dollars by calling care credit, and the representative stated that the ********************* was not authorized to chargemy Care Credit account since they did not have the physical card. Care Credit ended up canceling the overall charge. But now my bank has an unauthorized $117charge from Virtual Imaging **************** location. I seek to have this charge &all futurecharges dropped because this is not what we agreed upon.I have repeatedly called twice a day for 7days in a row asking to talk to management, and each time the receptionist consistently says that they are not available and that I should expect a call within2 days.I have yet to receive a phone call I even called to speak with the salesperson and told she was let go.Business Response

Dear BBB,
We take customer feedback very seriously and are committed to addressing any concerns in a timely and fair manner.
We acknowledge that there was an issue with the care credit charges, which we promptly addressed by reversing the charges on 6/28. As of 7/23, we have reversed all charges associated with the payment plan and canceled any future payments. We understand that there was a delay in canceling the recurring payment, and for that, we sincerely apologize. We have already spoken with the customer to express our apologies and ensure that the matter has been resolved to their satisfaction.
We were also deeply concerned about the customer's experience with our salesperson and want to make it clear that we never wish for any of our customers to feel subjected to high-pressure sales tactics. We have addressed this internally and taken steps to ensure it does not happen again.
As a token of our appreciation for the customer's understanding and patience, we have offered them a complimentary follow-up scan next year at no additional charge. We value our customers and want to make things right with them.
We are committed to providing excellent service and will continue to improve our processes based on customer feedback.
Sincerely,

We went in for a heart scan for myself and my husband. Got taken into a room a given a hard sell about buying a very expensive imaging plan. We thought it would be so helpful. The results said my husband's heart was dangerously blocked. He went for a heart catheter test and it wasn't even blocked enough for stents. The doctor wouldn't look at or use virtual imagings disc or report. Then I went to my primary care physician and she wouldn't look at or consider any of my concerns. I took it to my bone Dr he would not view the disc or consider the report at all either. So three doctors didn't consider it helpful. We are paying monthly to Care credit (they applied for a joint account for us!) a lot of money (to me) every month for this useless "membership " my husband asked his ******* care physician if he could get the virtual colonoscopy when she said he needed one (we stupidly paid extra for virtual colonoscopies also) she said no he needs a traditional colonoscopy. What good is this imaging if doctors act annoyed when you try to give them the reports and won't use them??? I feel we got scammed!! We would like our money minus the one scan each we got, refunded to Care credit or us so we can pay off Care credit and this "lifetime membership" cancelled.Initial Complaint

I responded to a radio ad for free heart and lung scan but when I spoke to the pre-scan person, I explained that I wanted to do a full-body scan instead and would happily pay the additional fee. Then the high-pressure sales pitch started to get me to sign up for a 5-year plan with one scan per year at a cost of $205/month for 24 months and no interest fees. I was given several pages to sign/initial where highlighted (it was like a real estate closing where you're handed one sheet at a time and you sign or initial where indicated) and I went along with it, like a dummy! Five days later (today), I get a credit card statement for a new account and *****% interest rate but no interest if paid in full by Oct. 7, 2022. In looking thru my paperwork, I found a "Purchase Agreement" that I signed which states that I will pay in cash or thru their affiliated credit plan only. No other payment options and no cancellation or rescission of the agreement is possible. I don't want any further affiliation with this firm and would like to settle the issue by voiding the agreement and paying the $600 extra fee plus $230 "reading" fee (in cash) as I was originally told that I could do since I was foregoing the free heart and lung scan and doing only full-body scan which took all of 6 minutes! I will happily provide copies of all paperwork if needed and admit that I was not smart to sign everything as told to do.Business Response
