I initially went Motorvation to look at a Chevrolet Silverado. That vehicle sold the night before but **** suggested I sit with the general manager, *************************** to review the auction inventory. ***** took my wife and I through inventory and we selected a 2017 **** F-150. The listing included condition reports. I asked what happens if the vehicle arrives and it doesnt match the condition report. ***** told me he would send it back. I paid a $2,000 deposit and awaited arrival for inspection. The vehicle eventually arrived and I asked ***** if the vehicle condition matched. He said yes. On August 3rd, we test drove the truck and I told the gentleman it felt like the car was pulling left he said he would have it checked and he had been given the green light to fix everything wrong with the truck. August 5th, I paid $5,500 balance of the down payment, and took possession of the vehicle. August 7th I took the vehicle to get an alignment and tires balanced. The Service Mgr asked me to come to the dealership to show me why they will be unable to perform the services requested. The Service Mgr and a **** Master Technician showed me the undercarriage and said "someone" has painted (NOT UNDERCOATED) the steering components, transmissions, suspension, calipers, and other components using black paint; and the lug nuts are too "swollen" to fit a wrench. If we had a flat we would be unable to remove the wheel. I remembered the lug nuts on the right front wheel appeared freshly stripped when the Motorvation technician was replacing the rims with the larger rims we discussed but unfortunately, I never asked why. Today, I contacted ***** via text message, voicemail and in person to share the news. Given my ongoing interaction with ************ assumed he would cancel the sale and take up the issue with the auction since someone was clearly defrauded. He said he can't cancel the sale but he will attempt to arbitrate with ******** Auto Auction. I would like the sale canceled.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the business's response regarding complaint ID ********. On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, I met with ******************************* and reached an amicable solution.
I want to thank Motorvation and ******************************* for an acceptable compromise. Throughout the process, ******************** has been the consummate professional from the initial visit through the conclusion. My complaint has absolutely nothing to do with his actions. From the onset of the issue, I believed that a set of circumstances initiating with ******** Auto Auctions policy resulted in a situation where neither myself nor Motorvation could realize our intended business transaction. I remain convinced this is the case. I hope the responsible party, ******** Auto Auctions, is ultimately held accountable. However, this resolution concludes my complaint since I had no direct business interaction with them.
The compromise reached is sufficient.
Sincerely,
*******************************Initial Complaint

Bought this Explorer from Motorvation in Atlanta in January, 2023. Was told that this car was in great shape. They delivered it after purchase and it wasn't what they said. After a few months I had to put the car in the shop and it has so many damages that it has been at the **** shop for three months. The car had been wrecked in the front and I think that car was patched up and sold. The water transcooler went out, the water pump was leaking which in turn messed up the transmission and the rear end was bad. The total bill was about ****** and even with the extended warranty that **** assured me would cover anything that went wrong with my vehicle didn't take care of the bill. I had to pay ******* out of my pocket which I couldn't af**** and I had to take out a loan at my bank to get my car back I had another car dealer pull the equafax and found out that the car has been wrecked multiple times. I would really like to get some of my money back and also let other buyers not to buy from this person in the future.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I do have a major issue with Motorvation not even trying to help me resolve this issue.. All **** says is that my warranty should cover the repair.. Well it doesn't.. I am attaching a copy of the last page of the bill that I received from **************** in ******** I had to pay most of that out of my pocket and it just isn't right. And also the guys at the **** dealership tell me that this car has been wrecked in the front and the rear and is covered in rust underneath.. They had to charge extra because of all the ***** parts they couldn't get off the car. Anyway, I feel that **** should at least reimburse us with part of the total car. I have checked around to see if I can trade it off and no one even wants the car when the see the carfax that I was not even shown by my seller. I had to find out from another car dealer when they pulled the carfax.
I would appreciate him at least trying to help us out with the problem

I went to purchase a vehicle from them and gave them $19k as a down payment they were supposed to fix the issues with the vehicle, they did not. They also wouldnt allow me to get my down payment back as they said all down payments were no refundable which was not disclosed when they took the payment. They never replaced the tpms sensors as they said they would. They did extremely poor work that had to get redone when I was finally allowed to take possession of the vehicle after them keeping it to fix issues addressed. The vehicle now has over $5k worth of work into it of my own money. *** replaced the catalytic converters and have pictures of the work that they allegedly fixed. Im extremely upset and would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from them ever and feel like they should be investigated as they were well aware of the problems this vehicle had and did not disclose them to me at the time of purchase. They said that they would have the vehicle inspected by a certified dodge mechanic which I found out after the lurch was complete at they also did not do.Business Response

This dealer sold me a lemon that has been in the shop since I bought it in late April-early May. The vehicle is still in the shop. After extensive attempts at repair the vehicle is found to have been a lemon needing a new engine. Ive put over $5k into the vehicle and its still not driveable. The dealer was aware of these issues and didnt disclose them to me instead they tried to deceive me by clearing trouble codes in the car and telling me they made necessary repairs. They lied to me and kept over $15k in fund from me after requesting my money he refunded due to ongoing issues. Im highly upset and exhausted my savings in order to get this car and this could have been totally avoided had they been upfront with me. They purposely lied to me and I want this matter to be resolved and made public.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I reject the businesses response. I was not contacted by them, i in fact reached out to them after seeing the number they left in the complaint thread. I spoke with *****, he said he would get back with me and every time Ive reached out to him hes not available and hes made no further attempts to contact me, there was no resolution to my initial complaint at all. He told me to give him a few days to look into and Ive heard nothing back since then. Our conversation was via phone so I dont know how to include documentation to substantiate that. There was no resolution, or an attempt at resolution. Nothing was proposed to me as a fix to the initial issue. I would like my complaint re opened. I feel like their response was not genuine and merely an attempt to do away with the complaint.

On May 22, I went to Motorvation in Jonesboro Ga to try to purchase a vehicle. My credit is low and I had been out looking for a car all that day. I got online and saw Motorvation, filled out an inquiry and ***** called me. He gave me a time to come and and I went. In the end I ended up purchasing a 2021 ********** Outlander Sport. Thats what I could get with my credit so I was ok with it. After a week or two I noticed the drivers side front tire was bald on the inside. They say that ALL vehicles are inspected before being sold. That could not be possible with that tire. I bit the bullet, bought a tire and went on about my business. A few weeks after that I was driving 70 mph on the interstate and the check engine light began flashing and the car started shaking uncontrollably. I called, emailed and left messages that day and got no response. So on 7/12/23 I called the dealership and was told someone would call me and I said no, thats what yall have been telling me for 3 weeks so Ill just come up there. Instantly I was called by ******* and was told to find a mechanic, pray they take my warranty and figure it out. I then made a review on their page on ****** telling my experience with the company. The same night at 8:36 pm ***** called and texted my phone. He has NEVER returned any of my calls until the review was made. He called to only tell me that someone else would call me later. So then ******* calls me to bribe me by telling me if I delete the review she would refund me for the tire I bought and try to help me get my car fixed. Since I made the review, nobody at the dealership will help me. Then she sent me to a mechanic that could not diagnose my vehicle. I texted her back and no response. In the initial text she stated that she has been trying to reach me regarding my vehicle which is a lie, this lady has NEVER called about my vehicle. This company sells LEMONS and needs to be shut down ASAP. They are scammers and liars with no integrity or care.Business Response

Dear ****************:
Thank you for coming into the dealership last week and allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns in person. Im glad we were able to determine that the vehicle we sold you was not in fact a Lemon, and that the issue you are experiencing has an easy fix. Hopefully everything was resolved by the mechanic we referred you to. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing, and for the misunderstanding from your previous communications with the dealership.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: EVERYONE at Motorvation is a scammer and a liar. I was given a bogus warranty that was no good, they sent me to places that they knew could not fix my vehicle. The guy I spoke with told me to call a mobile mechanic and just pay out of pocket for the service, because he already knew they sold me a lemon with a bogus warranty. Come to find out, the check engine light had previously been on, but they had it turned off so they could sell it. I paid $2500 down for a piece of c*** car, had to spend $60 a week later for a bald tire that they left on the car. I had to end up putting my car in the shop for two days, leaving me without transportation and out of $600 for repairs. Im getting rid of this lemon ASAP before it falls apart. Buyers beware, please dont deal with these people, the worst experience of my life and Im still financially paying for repairs 5 months after purchase. And yes its a 2021 that only had ****** miles. They appear nice from the outside, but have a credited mechanic on standby if you do purchase from them. They offered nothing to me, but harassing calls threatening me to remove my negative review, when in reality I should have at least been reimbursed for the repairs and tire. I really am appalled that they responded as if they solved my problem and everything was fine. Women be careful!!!
Sincerely,

We wish to confirm that we have been responsive to ******************** calls and concerns on multiple occasions. In an effort to assist her, we replaced the tire she was having an issue with, and we recommended a reputable repair company, by the name of ***************** on July 13 although they could only accommodate her on the following Wednesday due to their scheduling. We have a billing cycle arrangement with them ensuring minimal out-of-pocket expenses for her. In light of her urgency, we arranged for a mobile mechanic to address the repairs from her perspective. She also had opportunity if she liked to speak with the finance manager to discuss her options on getting into another warranty if she didn't like the one, she was originally selected to go with. On July 25, we followed up to ensure she had resolved her issues, but she responded by requesting no further contact from Motorvation. Despite ******************** rudeness and obnoxious behavior, we have consistently provided courteous customer service throughout this process."Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: They are still continuing to lie. Please show me proof or a receipt that you purchased a tire. I actually have mine that shows that I paid for ALL repairs 3 weeks after driving off that junk yard lot. Matter of fact when I got the oil changed, there was NONE in there and last week I had to purchase AN ENTIRE set of tires for a **************************** May. It gets worse by the day with this lemon. Why get on here and lie, that just shows me even more that yall sell lemons, scam people and lie about it. Taking all of someones money and putting them in a worse situation is flat out wrong. Yall will reap what you sow one of these days. I really thought yall were legit and honest people. I just pray everyone reads these reviews and think twice about doing business with ****. I will warn as many people by sending them here to read the 100s of bad reviews and complaints. Im the rude one, but you gonna flat out lie about buying me a tire. Now thats pretty low. And why would I buy another fake and bogus warranty from some scammers? I learned my ****** the first time. But its ok, Ill be junking this lemon as soon as possible. And yes I told yall to quit contacting me, cause why were yall ? Calling me to tell me to figure it out, I was already doing that. Traded in a car with a check engine light on and new tires for a car with a check engine light on and bald tires. *** and I need that proof of yall purchasing me a tire cause the rude lady said that she would only reimburse me for the tire if I took my review down from ******* I have all of her conversations and ****** conversations recorded, I figured they would lie. Motorvation is scamming at its finest and just bad business all around. From the looks of the other bad reviews, they are ********** hungry and dont care who suffers getting it.

My experience with MotorvationAtlanta LLC, started off great with representative **** ***, who helped with my questions and paperwork of the sale vehicle 2015 Tahoe LTZ Vin: |GNSKCKC8FR256684. The vehicle was purchased ON 4/25, and took deliver on 4/26/2023. After taking delivery on an empty tank of gas, driving home I noticed the vehicle having trouble shifting through the gears. The vehicle would vibrate as if it was going to stall between 2 and 3rd gear while sometimes having a delay in acceleration. Moreover, during highway speeds, the cabin would emit a loud winding / whistling sound that would echo throughout the entire interior. At this point I called both my service mechanic and father (who is also a retired mechanic) and explained to each the scenario. Brought the *** in for an overview and diagnosis and found that the truck would be needed transmission repair among other things. On my return on 4/27 10am - sales associate **** **** was helpful in the return, but told me that my deposit had gone to the Bank and NOT the dealership. On that same day of my return, I then paid another $3k+ to pay the vehicle off. I feel I was taken advantage of especially with a vehicle that was found to need repairs and work, only of 200 miles of driving and 1 day of delivery. I am demanding the refund of my deposit of $5000 from this dealership upon this receipt. Per the Bailment Agreement- it states upon notice of cancellation the buyer would have 2 days to return the vehicle in the same working order as taken on delivery. The seller will return any sums paid or deposited to the buyer. This is the 3rd written statement and request that has been made to the dealership to refund the deposit made with no response as of 6/19/2023. I am optimistic that this will be resolved quickly and efficiently and more importantly without any need outside representation to conclude this request.Business Response

Thank you kindly for the rapid response, however I am rejecting this response because:
I am only accepting the refund of the money that was deposited for the vehicle in the amount of $5k. It took the dealership an entire month to process the paperwork which in fact could have been resolved in that period of time. The same vehicle was re-entered and advertised on their website a few short days after the return. The vehicle is now since been sold (again) which the dealership has now made double. Please understand where I am coming from in why I feel taken advantage of. Correction on the spelling- it is pronounced ******. Thank you so much and I hope to have a resolution soon.

This dispute is in regard to a vehicle you sold to me on January 20, 2023 that was listed online by you for one price and sold for a higher amount. I paid this dealership $3500 of my veteran benefits. The amount you said i needed to be financed because of my credit issues. They committed to me a safe and reliable vehicle to fit my needs. upon delivery vehicle looked nothing like what was posted on their website. The transaction after taking my money was unfair, seems fraudulent, and deceptive by misrepresenting a damaged, dangerous vehicle as driving strong with minor issue. Upon taking vehicle to licensed mechanic February, it was deemed to be very dangerous to drive and shouldn't be driven but towed out. It had a $6,587.73 repair bill which they agreed to help cover but it still wouldn't make vehicle safe to drive. Made 3 $715 notes while in shop to not default. Feb13-June2, in shop.Dealership lacks total disregard for the impossible situation put upon myself and others who have no choice but to default on RICS. vehicle repo by finance company on June 2,2023 due to inability to afford shop bill. $7,856 in repo fees. Agreed to help pay. Due June 10 or vehicle auctioned and sold by June 14.Instead of helping with repairs to get vehicle out as agreed June 9 dealership sent someone in my place with a power of attorney form, invalid VIN report from March the tag office refused 3 times since vehicle has to be physically brought to tag office to inspect for first time registration. Tag and register a dangerous, unsafe vehicle in my name without my knowledge or proving my identity. Confidential, personal documents compromised to avoid repair bill, repo fees, and to avoid me getting vehicle out and physically inspected in fear title wouldn't clear. Also to avoid buy back of RICS from finance company since lien holder wasn't listed on title yet.Once deceptive transfer title was complete dealership refused to help. $7,743 vet benefits spent, drove twice since Feb 13.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:This vehicle was repossessed not because of missed a payment but because your dealership failed to disclose to me that you were taking my veterans disability benefits and selling me a vehicle that could have got me killed along with putting general public in danger. The vehicle was returned to you for this purpose and your total disregard for myself and my family's plight in dealing with this dealership's damaged goods and cannot be used for anything I told you I needed this type of vehicle for. Placing a two sentence inside of a 30 page contract given to a desperate consumer with poor credit just looking for a reliable and safe transportation for their family. You cannot say you did not know this vehicle was very dangerous and could not be driven at all, as evidenced by the fraudulent and deceptive tactics your dealership engaged in to keep me from getting the dangerous vehicle inspected. Setting customers up for failure by taking their hard earned money, knowingly misrepresenting vehicles as being safe and reliable and forcing them to have to choose between paying monthly note or over $7000 in unexpected repairs after just handing over to dealership thousands of dollars. These deceptive practices should not be tolerated by any dealership that holds a license to receive money from consumers or does business with the general public, and is not when brought to the proper attention of those that protect from fraudulent business dealings such as this. I feel I have obtained more than enough evidence to prove this and ready to move this situation forward if this dealersprove fraudulent business dealings and unfair, deceptive practices and to also pass along to the necessary authority, such as and including the government ************************* the States Attorney General, and whomever else for a proper investigation, along with all transactions and entire interactions. included with evidence of a pattern of deceit against your dealership. I will do so if not refunded the hard earned money given to you in amount of $3500 for the safe reliable vehicle in which you did not provide to me but instead sold me and my family a deathtrap.

I understand that you are requesting the return of your $3,500 down payment. Unfortunately, when a bank repossesses a vehicle due to delinquent loan payments the customer's down payment is not refundable.
According to information we received from your finance company your vehicle was repossessed June 5, 2023 because you were two payments in arrears. If that is not the case, please forward proof that you made all your monthly payments on time and we can investigate the matter on your behalf.
Unfortunately, if you cannot provide proof that you were current with your loan payments when your truck was repossessed there is nothing we can do. The option to reinstate your loan has expired.

I am rejecting this response because: Stop saying vehicle was repossessed because of missed payments, because that definitely was not the case, and you all know it. ***be your other customers just accepted that, but I never accept from you that as a plausible reason to refuse to refund money I'm going to need for safe and reliable transportation. I cannot violate agreement between myself and UACC on certain matters. At least they're doing the right thing by the customer! I see this dealership refuses to accept responsibility for cheating their customers, so I will like to move ahead with arbitration with this matter in collecting my refund if we can't seem to come to a resolution. Because I can show you Feb, March, and, April payment and a deferral agreement for *** that I was in process of making with finance company so I could get that dangerous vehicle out to get registered. But I will not violate my right to privacy using pictures from my bank statement or access to UAC credit account. I was suppose to get from shop with you guys help until it got repossessed from repair shop before shop impounded it and added extra fees. But when you got title you said GM refused to help. That seems like a pattern of this dealership. Hoping customers default on loan so they can then blame the customer for the whole situation, get paid for the vehicle from finance company, then keep customers huge down payments outright. Customer is left with losing their money, no car, repo on record, and ruined credit. It's the reason why I continued to make payments so they couldn't use that one on me and to prove **** contract defaulted because of your dealerships negligent disregard for customers safety and also cheating and deceive customers by selling them vehicle you know they can't afford to fix or use then refuse to make it right because it's all customers fault according to you guys. Do we move forward with Arbitration?

On February 1st I bought a Chevrolet Silverado ****. I paid $17,718.43 for it. I at minimum want the safety issues resolved and at most have the vehicle returned. Prior to agreeing to purchase I was told the dealership would replace the driver side lock which was never replaced. They (dealership) even acted as if they were ordering the part days later when asked. I also asked multiple times if everything was working or if anything was broken and I was told everything works and it is a good running truck. When I received the vehicle, which was shipped to the wrong address 100 miles away, and they charged me $500 for shipping when the truck driver showed me a receipt for $350. I instantly noticed multiple things werent working. So I scheduled for an inspection. The mechanic called to inform me the fuse box is corroded and the cab isnt bolted to the frame. Although there is more the mechanic said needed repaired, I am just wanted the fuse box and cab to be repaired as this makes the truck incredibly unsafe and makes the dealership liable for. The truck is not road worthy. The dealership said if they decide to repair anything I would have to supply the parts and wouldnt be charged labor. This is unacceptable as the vehicle should have never left the lot in such condition. And they are expecting me to either drive or ship it 300 miles to them. Also unacceptable because its unsafe and Im not comfortable with them doing the work as they lied and lost my trust with multiple different things.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Ive already tried talking to the general manager. He refused to fix the problem. If the dealership isnt held accountable now for failure to safety inspect the vehicles they are selling, more people will get stuck with this issue like me, or worse lose their life due to this. Safety should not be taken lightly.
Sincerely,

We purchased a used **** ***** Silverado Duramax from this dealership on March 16, 2023. We paid cash they swore up and down at the dealership that this was a solid and sound truck. They stated they change the oil and it went through an inspection and all was good. seven days later I walk outside to see oil and fuel on the ground pouring. I then pay to get the truck diagnosed by a diesel mechanic. They quoted me $10,998 for a new motor and trans with labor. I then proceeded to take it to another diesel mechanic to try to get a lower estimate they came around the same price. What both mechanics did say was there was no way that this truck should have been sold the way it is. There is no way that that truck couldve passed the meticulous inspection that motivation says that they do on all vehicles trade in or purchased. This is not something that we did in the seven days we had it this is something that was done at the lot and or before trade in. I have called and tried to work with this company multiple times to try to fix the issue as far as what theyre willing to do and what they are not willing to do. What the company is willing to do is for me to trade my $11,000 truck in for a $4000 trade-in value. I then decided to do more research into this company come to find out we are not the only customers that they sell lemons to and then try not to fix. They have terrible reviews and closed cases with the Better Business Bureau all around the same thing that we are going through. What ***** the most is everything I ask them about prior to signing for the vehicle was everything they assured me was good and it was what ended up being the problem. I now have a truck with a drive out tag that I cannot even drive because the motor is junk. If they change the oil like they said they did there is no way they missed fuel being in the oil. This company should be investigated for fraud. They say customer service is their number one priority. I say not.Business Response

I purchased a 2017 F250 Superduty Flatbed vehicle in December 2022, remotely from Motorvation in Jonesborough, GA. I spoke with the sales rep. **************** who showed me a video of vehicle, with verbal claims that vehicle had no issues other than a few small dings and dents. I was assured multiple times that the vehicle had zero major known issues and a clean title and clean carfax. I was also assured that this vehicle would absolutely be safe to drive my family across the country from Georgia to ****************. I arrived January 28th, 2023 to pick up the vehicle. Upon inspection I noticed a lot of surface rust under the vehicle as well as on the bed where it was obvious there was rust that had been spray painted over. I also noticed that the vehicle looked as if it had been cleaned with harsh chemicals that had caused the seals and rubber on outside of the vehicle to become 'gummy'. Alsot he vehicle had a dead battery and some melted wiring inside the hood compartment. I had already purchased the vehicle based on their companies sworn verbal statement that this truck had no major issues. We spoke with the onsite company mechanic who also assured us that the vehicle was perfetly fine and had no issues and that he had worked on and inspected the vehicel severa times since dealership purchase. The verbal promises from the sales rep and the mechanic as well as living in remote ****** we declined the warranty as it would not be useable. Upon arriving in our temporary work location in ******* just 2 days after pickup, the fuel pump began running inconsistenty and the blower motor stopped working. We took the vehicle into the nearest 5 star mechanic and asked them to give the vehicel a thorough inspection. The shop called back in 10 minutes after drop off, stating that the vehicle had been submerged to at least the top of the dash, and they were surprised it was still running. I told them to go ahead and run diagnotics and replace the itmes that would not function.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: We called last week, seeking to give Motorvation the opportunity to correct the problem off book. We were told the manager would call Monday after getting back from vacation. It is now Thursday, and I had to file a BBB report to get further contact. Feel free to reach out, but know nothing short of one of the three submitted resolutions will suffice. I will hold submitting any negative reviews only until Monday, April 3rd.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:Insufficient and disrespectful terms. Motorvation and its agents make zero regard to safety and honesty. They offer a back handed apology of half off a service warranty and no apologies for their negligence in disclosure, or even half effort means to amend incurred injuries.
Sincerely,
