I rarely ever leave a negative feedback. But do not ever use their service. You would be better off donating everything & repurchase at your next destination. Don't believe their $10,000 insurance on your things. They call it that but there is no insurance. I guess if they can't locate your pod you might get garage sale value on your belongings if they lose the pod & if you can provide pictures of ********************* for every item in your pod. If they drop your pod & roll it down the ********************* is destroyed its your fault.Review from Alex S

This was the absolute worst moving experience I have encountered. They delivered a container with broken doors and garbage inside the container. We packed the container and have photo documentation proper packing. Upon delivery our container had a heavily damage mountain bike. Despite having insurance well over the value of the mountain bike, zippy shell took months to respond to our claim. They rejected our claim and even stated "it has been determined that the damages sustained to your property were not caused as a result of your container being improperly packed/loaded...". They gave us no grounds for denying our claim. They have been extremely hard to get a hold of and extremely rude. I have moved multiple times and this has been the absolute worst experience of any company I have encountered.Review from Grant b

STOP!!! DO NOT USE ZIPPYSHELL UNTIL YOU READ THIS! We had a very poor experience with Zippyshell (ZP) and from the review it seems as if we are not the only ones. We set up a contract with the group and they claimed on the call that we would get 3 movers for four hours. When ZS showed up with the **** there were only two movers, and they said they only work for 3 hours. Make sure you have the language in your contract, our contract called out team, a tricky way to s**** you. They ended up charging us $55 an hour extra but did not discuss this charge until the movers had left with our stuff. Another way to extort more money out of you.The contract read 8 to 10 business days before ZS would deliver our container. Mind you, when I purchase something from Amazon, I get an update every step of the way. ZS has no way of tracking your **** which seems extremely unprofessional and is par for the course with this company. The *** showed up on the 12th day and ZS did not send movers as contracted to help unload the ***. We are also waiting for our refund which has not come yet.Please do not use this company, they are cheap, and you get what you pay for. They are unprofessional and will try to charge you extra at every turn. This company should be reported to the Better Business Bureau and those of us that have had these terrible experiences should band together and start a class-action lawsuit.Review from Caroline H

I used Zippy Shell for a move during 2018 and it was positive, so I figured I'd use them again for my cross country move. Wrong! They changed a lot of their services so that there are more hidden fees (storage fee, fuel surcharge, etc.). The most concerning hidden fee (and change of service) was to not include moving blankets or wrap. So for a long distance move - nothing to protect furniture. When I called to schedule, I asked if the quote included blankets and moving blankets and they said yes. Come to find out - they leaned on the contract which said - none of this was included despite what I was told. So I'm out an addition $500 and fully expect to be out more because of the awful service that was provided and items needing to be replaced/fixed. I jokingly asked if there were additional fees to expect when the shell was delivered and I was informed there was a fuel surcharge. Because of course there was!In short, find another moving company.Review from Mark P

This is one of the worst companies ever. I experienced issues from the beginning which should have been a red flag, but since they had an A- (at the time of when I booked them) with the BBB I figured they were okay still. Our first issue was that it took 3 days and multiple phone calls and emails to receive our moving agreement. The next issue is that the drop-off was an awful experience. We never received our courtesy call and the driver was very rude to us.The next issue was that our container had arrived at the warehouse on 7/22/22 but we were not informed of this until 7/27/22. When we called to get the delivery scheduled they told us they could not deliver until 8/16/22. However, during my call with the sales rep, he said that getting it delivered by the 4th should be no issue. I spoke with a customer service manager who said that they would call me back with an update, they never did. We did recieve a text saying that the delivery had actually been scheduled for the 8th. We called to confirm and they said that it was able to be scheduled and that they would include unloading service for free. Today, the day of the deliver comes, they were supposed to be here between 8 AM and 12 PM. 12:30 comes around and we still haven't even heard from them. I give them a call and I am put on a 10 minute hold. I was then informed that the crew cancelled the delivery because we are "outside of their service area." I spoke with the customer service manager and basically all they could do is offer a $100 credit to our account for the missed delivery. Since they were on the phone I asked what ever happened to the call about the previous missed delivery. Apparently they left us a voicemail (we didn't get a voicemail) and even though the sales rep was vague and ambiguous there was nothing they could do. Save yourself the headache. This was the worst moving experience of have ever had. I have lived in 4 states and 5 cities with 8 moves in between. However, this is the first time using this company. I have used similar company PODS and it was so much better. I thought saving a few dollars would be ok. This company very very poor communication skills. My items was not delivered as scheduled and when I called to inquire where it was, the company literally did not know when it was going to arrive at the destination. I escalated my case 3 times with no resolution. Even as I write this I have no confirmation of when I will have my items. However, my credit card has been fully charged.Review from Jamie B

This business is nothing short of predatory. Literally nothing about their handling of our move has been smooth. First, We never even received a pod. They sent two guys who dont even work for the company with a trailer (7 hours after our window) for a soft load so we had no say in how our stuff was handled. Fast forward to now our pod has been LOST for days! I really hope they make this right before we have to explore our legal options. Please find our stuff Zippy Shell! you can spare me the copy and paste responses youve been sending everyone else. Just find our stuff or let us know how to file a claim for lost or stolen property. Side note: we have had to make several calls to adjust off fees that were never supposed to be charged per our contract. Thats STEALING by the way.Review from Adam C

ZippyShell offers pretty competitive pricing, which is why I went with them over others. But do not make the same mistake I made. Just pay little more and go with a more reliable company. I gave Zippy Shell the final date of the delivery when I first placed my order with them. They advised me that a long distance move (I was going from ****** to **********) takes **** business days for the transit. So I naturally accounted for more days just to be sure but they were still 3 days late delivering my container. They have no accountability for the lateness and their logistics is a mess. They outsource the movers and the truck drivers for the final delivery and communications between Zippy, movers, and truck drivers are a complete mess as well. I'll never use Zippy Shell and I recommend nobody else does eitherReview from Kimberlee T

This company is making what should have been a very exciting time in my life stressful and miserable. I am scared for my belongings and have had the worst experience trying to communicate with them. We were told delivery of our empty pod would happen on Friday June 17th and pickup was scheduled for June 21st. The night of June 16th we were text messaged from a local number that it would not be getting delivered and they would contact us ASAP to reschedule. The next morning I receive an email that my pod will be here Sunday June 19th and picked up June 21st. They no called no showed on Sunday June 19th. I texted that same phone number towards the end of the day and they tell me they can do drop off on Tuesday (the day it was supposed to be picked up after packing my stuff in it). I say this wont work and they move it to Monday morning. We get the pod Monday morning and now we have it loaded and expected pickup Tuesday like was scheduled. After being on the phone ALL day with corporate and multiple texts to the phone number I was corresponding with and NOTHING has been figured out for getting my pod picked up. Our house is closing and the new owners will be here soon with our pod sitting taking up the whole driveway. I have texted the local phone number dozens of times (so has my husband) and they are now ignoring us for 3 days at this point. They also have never answered when we call. Corporate and ************ centers have zero communication with each other. My first months rent was taken out 3 days before delivery and I have been charged the first half of the $5000 we are paying them to move our stuff. The pod has weather stripping peeling off and it is raining outside with all of our stuff in it and no clue when itll be picked up. WORST COMPANY EVER!! I know a lot of people moving out of my area and they are all aware of what Im going through. I will never recommend this company to anyone and be sure to warn anyone I know that moves in the future against them.Review from Jordan J

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They never showed up to deliver our pod when we confirmed with them several times to make sure they were coming. The support team had no idea what was going on and had no empathy or ability to correct their mistake. I would NEVER use this company and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
