- Purchased Swing-N-Slide play yard set from Lowes 2/10/02 - Some of the metal brackets have deteriorated (rusted) to an unsafe level (pictures included in attachment)- Play yard came with a written Lifetime Warranty that explicitly covers this failure (warranty included in attachment)- Contacted Swing-N-Slide aka Playnation via phone number ************ on 5/2/22. Spoke with *************************, a **************** *********** said the ********************** set is no longer made and parts are not available to replace under warranty. She said the warranty is only for the life of the swing set. After explaining the swing set is still good (alive) she still said it probably wouldn't be covered under warranty but that I could purchase the replacement parts. She then said we could start the warranty paperwork to see if it was accepted and emailed that information to me.- I filled out all of the warranty paper work and emailed it back. ***** responded via email that:--1) That this set is no longer available through their company --2) I will have to utilize Lowes to replace any parts --3) The lifetime warranty only applies from purchase date and up to 15 years. That 15 years would be the lifetime of a set in general.--4) I could purchase the parts from them. Subsequent emails showed this cost would be $60 plus tax.The set is in perfect condition with the exception of these deteriorated parts which make it unsafe for a child to use. The written warranty specifically includes this failure and does not contain a time limitation. All receipts were provided to the company as well.The email string is also attached.
