Beware of the tiny print and double talk. I have a disability that they paid once and I was tole I had to wait 180 days to re apply. I waited and they denied me saying I cannot collect twice for the same thing. That is not what I was told by the rep. and 3 others so I wasted a lot of money and am very disgusted.

I had a terrible experience with this company. First of all the young lady that helped me lied and said that I was getting health insurance and charged me for it only to find out that Aflac doesn’t offer health insurance. I’m leaving the zero stars and then when I called them back they sent me to several different people until I finally spoke to someone with a bad attitude and horrible customer service.

Filed a hospital indemnity claim for a child birth within the state of **. While the initial claim submission on their portal was a breeze, the actual payout was/is painful. Baby was born in early February. Claim was filed the first week of March. It is now May 6 and the full claim has still not been paid out..... Absolutely horrific customer service and process.

Teriible service!!!!!! I have been with Aflac for about 10 yrs & service has never been this bad until recently. I am not one to file claims excessively but with claims I've filed in the past, it was never this difficult to get results. The web-site is useless - phone reps are equally useless. No communication what so ever, no messages, no correspondence. Every phone rep transfers you to a different dept, then that rep doesn't know anything. Waste of money in my opinion if they find any & every excuse to deny a claim for exclusions.... to bad I have to wait for open enrollment to drop them!!!

I have had such a issue with aflac after being 15 years I finally cancelled my short term because they kept reversing my payment and then trying to charge me twice. No one knows what they are doing with customer service.

The worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. I’ve had nothing but run around with this company since I retired. They Will not send billing statements for billing and then terminate your account after calling and sending in payments.

Where's the 0.01 stars option? The "My Aflac" website is useless. I've processed several hospital indemnity and critical illness claims in the span of 2 years. You submit a claim, and after several weeks it's not shown on My Aflac. I had to speak to a manager and finally the claim showed on the site, but the status is wrong ("closed"), and there are ZERO details about the claim. After seeing nothing on the website and getting no email or text update at all, you'll either get a bogus mailer saying you need to provide more documentation or that the claim was denied, BOTH OF WHICH HAVE BEEN UNTRUE IN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY CLAIMS! Try getting answers via the chat bot, and you'll get a reply to the tune of "sorry we can't verify your identity at this time" after using your name, SS, and birthday. About 10% of the time this does not happen and you get lucky and it connects you with an agent. Agents are CLUELESS! My advice, if insurance is bought through your employer, contact HR and complain. I did, and they were able to get me connected to an Aflac manager to act as "concierge". However, good luck getting a timely reply from them that way, but at least then you can start to get some actual help. In my case, the Aflac manager acknowledged there was something wrong with the website (continuously for 2 years??) and that they inaccurately required more documentation. Long story longer, I deduced that each new claim submitted was being added to the original claim, explaining why new claims weren't appearing on the site. I INFORMED THE MANAGER OF THAT...they didn't even understand that! Laughable. Then one day, after getting denial letters in the mail and not submitting any more documentation that they claimed they needed, you'll finally find your payment in your bank account (mind you, with no email, text, or website notification that yours was approved). I'm convinced that Aflac and other insurance companies intentionally make the process painful so you just give up. Evil.

Aflac takes FOREVER to process claims! I’ve had claims “processing” since February and it’s mid April! And don’t try to get ahold of anyone who will actually help! Very frustrating!

If I could leave a ZERO, I would. I have a group policy with AFLAC and I have to call and have statements sent to my house. When I mail in older statements with 3 months of payments to be credited to my account, AFLAC cashes the money orders and the payments are not applied to my account. You call "AFLAC NO CUSTOMER SERVICE" and tell them that you had to use an old statement, they tell you to call the money order company and get the information on a money order they cashed and did not apply to your account. Then they open ANOTHER TICKET and you call back in 7 to 10 business days to get an answer. I also attached a picture of the money order and listed the months that I am paying for clearly written on the money order. You would think that if you send in a payment and write on the money order the months you are paying for, it would get applied to your account before they cash the money order. I was giving the option of letting AFLAC automatically withdrawing the money from my bank account. WHY WOULD I GIVE THEM ACCESS TO HAVE THE MONEY AUTOMATICALLY WITHDRAWN FROM MY BACK ACCOUNT IF THEY CANNOT APPLY A MONEY ORDER PAYMENT TO MY ACCOUNT BEFORE THEY CASH THE MONEY ORDER???

Paid into this scam for years....and the 1st time I used it due to ***** *******, my claim was denied. Took me 5 1/2 months to recover and this company just offered me an apology...regardless of all the medical records the hospital and doctor staff, sent to them! Never, ever again would use them. Will research before setting up with another carrier.
