At approximately 530pm on the night of 19th of March, 2025 I requested roadside assistance from AAA, my battery died on my motorcycle, after 2 hours a technician finally arrived who could do nothing, I was told a tow truck would be dispatched, it was getting dark and I was on the side of the road by the interstate, by 919pm after numerous text massages and delays a tow truck had still not been dispatched, I decided to push my motorcycle 4 miles home. I am requesting a full refund for my membership dues and reimbursement for my time and effort.

10/11/2024 Today I requested for a tow to a repair shop in ************ at 2:40 pm. I was then told I would have to pay a overage fee of $100 because I used all of my free service for a year, this is crazy because after paying all the money I pay for annual fees I can only receive 2 per year which is highway robbery. I payed the $100 via phone to have my car towed to said location. After 3 hours of no call no show I received a automated response saying they were backed up, no worries I'll waited, by 8 I called back to check on the status of my tow, they then lied and said they reached out to me when I have been siting next to the phone for over 6 hrs! They then submitted and additional request and the driver was here in less than 5 mins! The driver then told me it was unable to be towed because of the tag, I brought this car at an aution so it does not have a tag, so he then told me to call and request a refund and gave me the number to the towing company to have them come out tomorrow and tow it to a shop that was local so then it was closer. However when I called and requested my refund about the car they stated they would not issue a refund because the towing company would not provide them the ability to do so, the aaa lady was named Andrea. She stated that their policy would not allow them to carry a vehicle without a valid tag, which is crazy because cars from autitions dont come with tags, also was told if the wrecker service didnt approve for a refund I would not get a refund, I talked with the owner of the company and he was unaware about what she was talking about. I have never had any issue with AAA since I first became a memeber years ago other than the time it takes for them to show up, which caused me to cancel several requests in the past. This is however unjust, I didnt have the $100 for the tow to began with but I borrowed because I needed the car for work, not I have nothing no tow my car is still here and I am out of $100.

On September 06, 2024 at approximately 9:50 PM I submitted a request for AAA roadside assistance via their app. The app showed that a technology would be at my location by 10:17 PM. At 10:30 PM, I called tge 1-800 number for roadside assistance for the first of four times this evening. Each time, an agent verified my name and telephone number and that it was a cell phone that I was calling from. Each time, I was told that my work order had been escalated and that a technician would be arriving shortly. Each agent stated that it would be 10-15 minutes . I called again and the agent again stated that my situation had been escalated. I explained my situation and that I’d been waiting in excess of two hours. What could I do? He tried telling me again that a technician would be reaching out shortly. I stated was I allowed to call a locksmith on my own and get reimbursed. Of course, he said. Why at any point did not one person from AAA reach out to make sure I was ok. I ended up calling a local 24 hr locksmith because as of 1230 AM, AAA had still not arrived.

In March of this year I filed a claim with AAA because a AAA representative came to change one of my tires and broke off 2 of my tire’s studs and stripped the others on that tire. The man who changed my tire told me he’d follow me home to ensure my safety, but let me in the dark on the side of a road when he received another service call. It was hours before a tow truck was dispatched to me, but by then I’d called a different tow company out of fear of remaining on the side of the road around midnight. After calling to file a complaint via telephone, a person from the local auto club visited my home to assess the damage and advised me not to drive my car (I couldn’t because my wheel was wobbling and about to fall off.) The person originally told me that the auto club would pick up my vehicle on Monday, but days passed with no resolution. I missed multiple days of work. I was advised by AAA Service Monitor Melissa H****** That I could go to an auto shop and get quotes and receive reimbursement for money spent. I went to 2 different auto shops and had to get another tow truck since AAA dispatched the truck for AFTER my appointment at the auto shop. I sent Melissa the receipts and paper work requested. My emails have gone unanswered and I have been transferred from unknowledgeable associate to unknowledgeable associate attempting to receive reimbursement for months. AAA not only failed to properly service my checked, they broke out and refused to fix it.

I have been a AAA member for a while now and I hardly ever use it. On Aug 2nd, 2024 at approximately 3:45PM, I requested service because my car needed a tow on a busy highway in ***** When I requested service, they made me wait 3 hours! I told them several times that it was not a safe location and they didn't care. They told me it's normal for them to take this long. Imagine if I was stuck in the middle of nowhere, then I am willing to bet they couldn't even get to me. I was stranded in a big city and busy interstate and they made me wait 3 hours after which I got frustrated and then my family had to come help me with the car. I would like a full refund of my membership and don't want you pitiful service anymore. Customers, be careful, AAA won't advertise this but they are grossly unreliable and you're better off calling 911.

My AAA renewed on ***** ** 2024 and I want to cancel my policy. I was not satisfied with coverage and was waiting until I could find something better. Was not happy with their roadside assistance. Didn't know until I needed roadside assistance that thely would only tow 7 miles and then I had to pay more. They said it was because my car was old. Also the repair guy they sent replaced the battery but it was my transmission that was locked. I have better coverage now with another carrier and want my money back, or partial back.

AAA Auto Club of the South: I pay the annual fee for our family to have access to AAA towing. My daughter has been waiting since 4pm and it is now 9:50pm to have her broken down car towed. They just informed her that she will not be towed until tomorrow. Thankfullly, she is in a safe location. Were this not the case, what would she do?? This is not what I pay an annual membership for, and I will be filing a complaint with AAA as well and asking for a refund. I want to register my complaint here, too. I was told by a tow truck driver this past summer after waiting 3 hours for a tow that AAA has changed the way it dispatches towing cases to its drivers in order to have to pay the drivers less. It's no longer efficiency based, since then drivers would end up with more tows per day and AAA pays them per tow.

I subscribe to AAA and have done so since 1995. My membership number is *** *** **********. I have the Premier membership. On ******2024 my car broke down at ******** ********** ** **** *** and we needed a tow to our mechanic's location. We placed a call at 9:13 PM and was advised we had a wait time of pick up at 10:10 PM. At 10:50 PM we received notification that due to high call volume they were running behind and would get an ETA as soon as they could. That ETA never came and neither did AAA. We waited until 12:15 AM and had to use other recourses. No one ever reached out the next day. it was just a no show. I honestly couldn't believe it. I remember the days when you would call and get a human and the first question the agent would ask "Are you in a safe location"? That is no longer the case. Now, they leave you stranded w/o explanation for s service you pay for.

My daughter’s tire blew out Saturday **** *** around 7:50 AM and she called AAA for assistance. They said they would send someone out. She got a text saying the ETA would be 8:48 AM. After that time passed, she called and they said dispatch would call her. Dispatch called her and said they can’t find anyone willing to come so she would have to find someone on her own. At this point she had been waiting for well over an hour and was late for work. She finally was able to get someone to come who charged her $200 to change her tire. I was livid because what is the point of paying for AAA membership if you’re just going to leave my daughter stranded on the side of the road? I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. I have never in my life spoken to someone so rude. He literally just breathed heavily in the phone like it was some kind of prank call. Every time I asked if he was there he responded, “yeah.” And when I repeated what happened, he literally said, “ok.” When I said he doesn’t seem to care, so I need to speak with someone else he literally hung up on me!! You really need to find that recorded phone call and fire that person immediately. I will provide and information needed so you can get to the bottom of this. I am demanding a reimbursement for my membership which expires in 2025 and the $200 she had to pay to get her tire changed. When my daughter got to work and told everyone what happened, they told her very similar horror stories they’ve experienced with this company. I am disgusted that you would let this happen, and I will not let this go. Not only did you leave my daughter stranded on the side of the road, when I called to let someone know about it, I experienced the rudest person I have ever come in contact with. I reiterate that I am not exaggerating about this man. You should listen to the recorded call and fire him immediately. I am disgusted with the behavior of your employees and that you left my daughter stranded on the side of the road.
