      Date of Transaction: Non-renewal notice sent on September 28, 2022 The total amount of money paid: The bill has not been paid yet but the total amount indicated on the statement is $2,444.35 for the months of November and December Nature of Dispute: ***************************** **** has a lease for *************************************************************************************. Our lease term with ******************************* is up and a non-renewal notice was sent on September 28, 2022. Also, on December 2, 2022, furniture and all other items were completely soaked and unusable at this time due to the flood and we had to move to a different location. On December 28th, we received a *************** We did not agree with the statement due to the non-renewal notice sent for Nov 2022 lease expiring. Residents were also forced to relocate due to safety hazards and substandard conditions that caused flooding in the unit. The flooding forced an evacuation causing the residents to relocate prior to Dec 2022 but the statement attached reflects Dec 2022 rent. We asked for a breakdown but haven't received any response from them.Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem: NO response from the business

      My lease at ******************** ended in February 2022. I found a better place but had to go Month to Month with MMG whole I waited for it to be ready BIG MISTAKE. They tried originally sent a notice the month to month fee would be 970 . Which I paid on time every month . In May I get a notice that they will not accept my rent because of an outstanding of $2300 management has been accepting my rent but then backdating additional charges and adding late fees which is ILLEGAL IN GEORGIA. They served eviction papers OVER WATER AND **** CONTROL FEES . I moved out cleaned the place top to bottom and turned in my keys to Management and they still refused to acknowledge I moved . three weeks later I still have to go to court bc they wanted to evict me from an apartment I wasnt even living in anymore. Ive contacted corporate several times and always get the run around. They should not be able to destroy ************** and reputation without repercussion. They literally break the law then try to use the court system to enforce it.

      I was a tenant in their **************************************************** in ********* ******** I had a neighbor that threatened to kill me threatened to kill my grandkids shoot me in the face threatening to kill two other people he was a nuisance I have police report after police report of us calling on him he blasted his music we'd have to leave home goes find somewhere else to stay I started texting ******* the landlord about this back in June I never got to answer until July after multiple multiple texts July she said that she was handling it give her 2 weeks it should be taken care of and I repeatedly text her all through August or July and I didn't hear from her again until August that guy still lives there I was forced out I had to spend my money I'm on section 8 I had a $2,100 credit with meridian Management and it's 34 days today it is Wednesday October 5th it's been 34 days I have not received any money I've been living without anything and the guy that caused all the problems with multiple tenants still lives there there have been no repairs done in less than it was an emergency water leak that would damage their property they have done not the simplest repair I want my security deposit my money that was credited it's $1,500 and some change and I really want pain and suffering for living through 2 months at the very least that's documentable it was more like five months I have numerous witnesses I should have never had to move I feared for my life nobody took it serious nobody returned calls nobody returned taxes because I got I was upset yep I was upset I didn't know what to do I'm paying rent and nobody's doing anything I want my moving expenses covered $2,100 which I had to come out of pocket all but 600 of that nobody will answer me where is my refund money and when should I expect it since it's been 34 days I could open a case I'm understanding and try to get three times that I don't want to go through that all I ever wanted was mine.       Good Afternoon,

          Upon further investigation it was deemed the property manager did everything correctly in following up on complaints. The property manager also contacted the local police department and requested a copy of all police reports from the property during the time the resident resided there. There were no police reports or formal complaints regarding the neighbor in question. We have ample documentation to invalidate the claims that at mentioned in this complaint.

           We did discover that **************** was owed $1,571.17 and the check has been sent via ***** to the address listed in the complaint to arrive on 10.7.22. I have attached the ledger. The resident had a credit and then was charged a lease termination fee, the amount to cover the rent until the unit was rented, as well as the amount owed back to the housing authority for September's rent. All items are stated in the lease as terms of early termination.

      These are some of the police calls that were called from my situation arising from ******** ************************* did not do her job meridian Management did not do their job this man threatened to kill three people out there he blasted his music every day I called ******* repeatedly I have the messages my section 8 worker has the messages that I text her for 2 months begging her to do something with this man me and a little old lady in the next apartment on the other side of him had to leave everyday and some nights to get away from it I contacted meridian Management in Georgia they hung up on me repeatedly there have been no repairs done there since April and this money that they sent me was money put there by the state on my behalf that's not even my thousand $42 deposit where is where is that I shouldn't have never had to move my life was in Jeopardy I thought I didn't know that man I didn't know if he'd shoot me or kill my grandkids like he promised I have video tapes of this man going off threatening me he called his brother and his sister up there to intimidate the whole building so I don't accept this at all I really want everything that they ever make took for me any ***** they made off me since April when they took over because we couldn't even call them until the end of May they're unprofessional and no I don't accept this response I accept the money I really want everything I ever gave them but the security deposit where is that they didn't send me per ******** law an itemized list in four days when I moved out of any damages I caused to keep that I have signed after *****'s from people out there saying that what I'm saying to you and to them is true they looked at my apartment before I left it was in pristine condition I even filled the nail holes in so yes I don't accept it thank you

      Meridian Management group still have not returned my security deposit the ******* check they sent was from a state program separate from the funds they returned they said they would send the deposit in 90 days now they say that not returning it because BBB HAS CLEARED THEM

         I do not see the new response as of 12/5. I have a notification but no new statements. As stated, multiple times and documents submitted, the proper amount was refunded to *************** and per the local police department no complaints were ever filed with them in regard to threats form a neighbor. We also have documents from the case worker stating that *************** was to move out per her request and then we owed them funds back because her rent for that month had already been paid, those funds were due to them and not ****************

      I am rejecting this response because: the money for the $1,500 check you sent me was extra money put there by the thera program okay that has nothing to do with the $1,042 deposit that's separate check your files do your work please so no that $1,042 was given to lighthouse properties before you took over per ******* that was supposed to continue over to you so where is that $1,000 the **** you gave me that was put there by six section 8 in the thera program that had nothing to do with my move in security deposit check your files please this is been 90 days legally in Michigan I can *** you for three to four times that amount in the I don't want to go to court I'm sick I don't want to do that but I will you're not just going to keep the money and no I was not forced out but your tenant in six made it impossible for anybody to live there would you went there and lived if he threatened to shoot you in the face and kill your grandkids and he had beat two white girls he found on the street in his apartment for a week and I didn't make a form of police report because I didn't want him to know I was calling but I do have a log of every time they were sent there by me and two other residents on behalf of him that was never taken care of or I wouldn't have moved

      Hello, BBB!I have tried to get a hold of this new management/owner since they took over on July 15th, 2022. ********* Court Apartments has switched management/owner three times, and the last one (MMG Meridian Management Group) has not been responsive. Below I have attached the email thread and lease I have signed. I also have all my rent proof that I have been paying my rent on time, but I do not receive anything stating that they have received my rent. I finally got a response from the Senior Property Manager on September 15th. I also stopped by that day when I saw her reply. Not only is ****** very unprofessional, but she also has not given me my prorated rate for December. She has verbally stated not to give my deposit back after my contract is over because I did not sign the lease with them. At this point, I either want to get my deposit back or should be able to leave ASAP and not have to pay October and ********'s rent. I have given ****** Senior Property Manager more than a 60-day notice to not resigned my lease. I have reported my broken oven, which was never fixed in the seven months I have been at ********* Court. I also mentioned water damage, and now the ceiling in the kitchen is leaking. As part of my rental lease agreement, they should spray for pest control, and that has never happened after the two companies that took ********* Court over. Many other tenants and I have mold growing quickly inside our apartments and the hallways. At the very least, I should be able to leave this place ASAP and not have to pay for October and November and my 12 days in December since my lease is up on December 12. This is unfair to people like me trying to do the right thing! If nothing can be done, I understand, but at least do something about this company that should not be managing this place.       Good Morning,

         A prorate has been provided to the tenant for December. When the resident vacates the unit and it has passed inspection the security deposit will be refunded. The resident informed the property manager on 09/20 of the notice to vacate in writing (which we require to make it official) and on 09/22 the prorate was given. The trash issues are being handled and we have contacted the city on multiple occasions in regard to this issue. We are doing what needs to be done on our end, yet the city is not. We will continue to work diligently on this issue.

      Left ************************* that is owned by Meridian Management Group after not renewing lease July 31st, 2022. It has been past 30 days and not received security deposit from company. I have called the company to not receive any answer and when i did they directed to regional office where I get voicemail of *******************************. I have in writing that I turned in keys and should receive my security deposit in 30 days. I called ********************************** and when I get a response about the problem they said they were mailed August 31st and as of September 14 it has been 2 weeks and no check received.

      I live in an apartment complex managed by Meridian, and it's been an absolute nightmare. My kitchen has no cold water (hasn't since June,) only 2/4 burners work on the gas stove, the apartment frequently smells like gas, we have no smoke detectors (never installed.) The laundry room has been out of order for over a week now. The dumpster has been overflowing for over a week now. There is sitting water by the back entrance. The grass is never cut. The leasing manager, ******************, is a joke. She never replies to my emails, and when she does, it's a lie about getting someone out to look at out issues. They have ONE maintenance guy for THREE apartment complexes. Code enforcement is involved, but it hasn't made the company act on anything. We have been waiting on a payment portal for a while now, but it's still not up. We are now forced to take a money order to a different apartment complex, that is not maned, and put it in a drop box. We never received a copy of our lease or a gas certificate. The elevator inspection is out of date. The floor above us has mold, and it appears our bathroom ceiling does as well and they just painted over it. We have offered to do our own repairs and have the cost taken out of the rent, but that request was ignored. The communication is non existent and the company only seems to care about taking the rent and not maintaining the building or assisting the tenants.

          Maintenance entered the apartment on 8/23 and was able to assess the issues within the home. I am working with the regional to get the stove replaced and the water in the kitchen sink replaced. We have schedule and inspection for the elevator as we just purchased the property on 7/15/2022 and the elevators were out of date prior to our purchase. We have the dumpsters scheduled to be emptied on 8/26 and landscaping is beginning on 9/1 for the property.

      Good Afternoon My name is *****************************. I have a major discrepancy with the information that was sent over to **********************, now the new management of ************** Apartments. The information in the ledger that was sent over is showing as if I had an outstanding balance with you all and I have never paid my rent after the 5th of any month. I also have the screenshot on the money order that showing below. 1st off I was being charged for renters insurance that I had from the very 1st day I moved in. I had to provide proof I had my own renters insurance prior to moving in to ****************************** email. I was informed by ********************* that I would have to pay the 1st months renters insurance for she had no way to stop that, even though I had my proof on file with them. I was not happy about that but I did pay the 1st months renters insurance. My 1st months rent was ****** I paid the $100 deposit and the balance would have been ****** I paid ******. Then the second month came around and I now I had a new property manger *************************** at that point I provided proof to the rent office of the renters insurance I had from day 1. I was told that the renters insurance would be removed and it was after 3 months of being assured it would. However the charge of the renters insurance is ***** that occured is incorrect as well as showing I paid rent on FEB 7th is ridiculous. Please take a look at the calander Feb 5th 2022 was on a Saturday that would have been the date rent was late. I turned in my money order on Feb 4th the day I got the money order. It looks as if the 7th is the day the money order was entered. I should not get penalized for that and this should have been taken care of before you all send over a incorrect ledger. Below is my screenshot of when the renters insurance started carring over as well as the proof of me having renters insurance and the money order that I paid on the 4th.       I am rejecting this response because: I have numerous emails from the new management that says I am to speak with MMG about this matter because this was the ledger and information that was sent over from MMG. I am aware that the business was given to VICINIA which acts as if they can only go by the ledger they were given in March. When I called to speak to someone about it I was told this LATE FEE WAS PUT ON MY ACCOUNT IN FEB FROM MMG. My rent has never been late IF THE PAYMENT LATE DAY IS INDEED THE 5TH. SO when March came around AND I SEEN I HAD A LATE FEE AS WELL AS ***** OF INSUARNCE CHARGE THAT IS TOTALLY INCORRECT.I immediately asked for assistance. Now at this point I knew both business would be pointing the finger AT EACH OTHER. I HAVE ALREADY INFORMED VICINIAN I AM GOING TO TAKE OUT A CIVIL CASE ON BOTH COMPANIES ONLY REASON WHY IS THERE IS NO ONE THAT IS GIVING ME ANY INSIGHT ON WHAT TO DO TO GET MY $1***** THAT IS DUE TO ME.
