1 starI bought a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee in June 2024. The Jeep has been in service twice for a no start issue. The first visit has 3006 miles (I contacted the salesperson who sold me the vehicle and all he could say was "do you want to make a trade",) are you kidding me and the service center told me I must have left something on in the vehicle to drain the battery. Second visit (2 months later) had 4077 miles. While in service my Jeep was damaged (approx. $3000 worth of damage) and the service center manager said they were not responsible for the damage even though they took possession of the Jeep when it was towed in on a flatbed tow truck. The service manager explained they had it parked in an area they did not own and therefore where not responsible for the damage. I never signed anything from them to say I was responsible. The worst customer service ever. Not only did they not fix the issue with the No Start issue, they allowed the Jeep to be damaged and when I said I would speak to the Kirby team, the service manager told me that the Kirby team agreed they were not responsible for the damage. When I picked up the Jeep one of their employees was parking a RAM truck next to mine and just about took off the whole right side of the Jeep off while I was standing there to look at the damage already done. This dealer and service center should be reduced in rating & accreditation to an F. Most people don't think about issuing a review on BBB, but the local social media reviews for this dealer and service center is worth reviewing.Review fromMichael B

Dear ******* ***** **., Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your business and want to address your concerns with complete transparency. When finalizing the financing for your son’s truck, we structured the loan in a way that secured the best possible interest rate, which required listing your name first. This decision was made to provide you both with the most favorable terms. We also want to clarify that both you and your son signed multiple documents—approximately 20 in total—confirming the loan structure before completing the purchase. Additionally, both of your names are on the contract, meaning that on-time payments will contribute to both of your credit histories. If there are any concerns regarding how the loan is being reported to the credit bureaus, we recommend reaching out to the lender directly for clarification. Our team is also happy to assist in any way we can. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at ************ *** *** and ask for Andrew if you have further questions. We appreciate your business and are here to help! Best regards, Andrew A********* General Sales Manager Edd Kirby’s Adventure Cars ************ *** ***Review fromTammy W

1 starWe just went to look and see what they had that we might like. We were pushed into a Chevrolet trax2021. It smelled of cig. smoke they said they could get it out. I ask three times what the price was they acted like they couldn't hear. We traded a 2012 juke with a little over 100000 miles on it and 3000.00 and we ended up paying like the Trax was a new car. We went back on Monday to return it. We were talked to like we were stupid. We said we wanted our Juke back and leave the Trax. He said we couldn't do that. I told him what we needed done to the Trax. There was no book on it we needed one. He said to buy one online. I ask him to fix the broken part on the seat he said no. I told him that they ripped us off. he told us to leave, or he would call the Police on us. And if we left the Trax, they would sell it and what they didn't get out of it we would have to pay. We live on a fixed income and it's not like we can just give our money away. The salesman told us it would a 60-month loan when I got home, I was looking over the contract and it was for 84 months. Just another lie. Just to let everyone know if you go to buy a car at Edd Kirby Chevrolet in Dalton Ga just know all they care about is to sale a car no matter what they have to lie about. 1 starHad issues with a car and left a one star review. They acted apologetic when first contacting me so against my better judgement I went in and tried to work things out but long story short got a newer car with a better rate but didn’t come without issue from Enrique and DJ S**** countless arguments and both of them telling me them the only reason they’re helping me out is for me to change my review the manager DJ s**** called me a liar and got aggressive with me telling me the car has no check engine light I informed him the other dealership has replaced many parts and said someone before I got it had put a cheap aftermarket axle in it resulting in intermittent ABS issues and Enrique said I had to follow his terms and I’m not getting the price on the website because they’re not losing money on the bad deal they made to me and also said my price is a market adjustment I wouldn’t recommend going here because they’ll run your credit through every finance company making where you have to buy there onlyReview fromKaren P

They clearly have false advertising on their app. They give a value of my trade online. It stated the price of their car. It showed me how much payments would be. Made a 2 hour drive to discuss trading my car. They said no we can't give you that for your car, unless we get $7000 more for our car. Wow, way to run a business. It's clear that you wanted me to give my car to you, buy your car and make a $10,000 profit off me. No thank you! My thinking on this matter is, businesses are only concerned with taking people's money. Consumers work hard for money , only to be lied to and stolen from by businesses. People aren't as dumb as you perceive them to be. Stop false advertising, and be honest . Thank you and have a blessed day!Edd Kirby Adventure

Ms. ****** had an issue with not having enough money down required by the lender due to credit when she was here. Pricing was not the issueat that time. I am not sure where to go to respond to the BBB complaint but this would be my responseReview fromBriana C

1 starI’ve been to some sketchy dealerships, but this one goes above and beyond. They lied to me to get me to come in, assuring me that my payment was $500/month, all I needed to do was bring my down payment and sign the paperwork. It was important for me because I live 1.5hrs away. They offered a ride, which I took as my car needed some repairs. I got there and Brody had me signing paperwork, and I questioned why the payment was in “weekly,” and he said it makes it easier. Ok. He walked away and I looked at it again. Almost $175/week is definitely not $500/month. I asked him about it, saying it was $700. He told me I was wrong, and then pulled out a piece of paper showing me how it was really something like $690. I told them I was not agreeing to this. I was first bullied by him, telling me how I needed this car, can’t drive my kid around in the piece of crap I was driving (haha, a Toyota? I’d trust it over their crappy clown car Mirage any day), and I could refinance in 6 months. Told him I wasn’t doing it. A woman, I think her name was LeeAnn came to insist I had to have this car and where else will I go? Told her I’d go to ******, I was approved through them already, and I trusted them way more. She claimed she’d worked there and I wasn’t approved (jokes on her, I got a better deal on a MUCH better vehicle), and wouldn’t stop telling me I had to buy this one. They tried to bribe me with a TV. When I asked how I was supposed to get home since they’d lied to get me there and now stranded me in a freezing city in the dark, an hour and a half from home, she said that was up to me.I walked out, only to be followed, harassed, and yelled at by the finance guy all the way to the sidewalk, him demanding I buy the car because he got me a lower payment, me saying I didn’t want to buy anything from him even if it was the price I’d agreed to, and him telling me this isn’t how “adults” act. Yeah, you and your coworkers behave worse than undisciplined toddlers glad you noticed.Review fromJay D.

I received a very alarming letter in the mail that, for all intents and purposes, aesthetically appeared as a legal document. Return address identified as: The Administrative Offices Records Division, and then had Edd Kirby's address. This, in my opinion, is impersonation. When you complete a Google search with the name, Chattanooga Court's page is the result. Edd Kirby's office is falsely identifying themselves, or they are using a name for an internal department that is deliberately analogous to the court's name. I see they are not BBB Accredited at this time and this comes as no surprise. I will be lodging formal complaints to all necessary entities including I understand it is no novel concept for a used auto dealership to employ inauthentic tactics, but this is disgusting. Upon opening the letter, it has a faux check and a marketing advertisement. Contacting one of the managers named "Angie," she claimed a lack of awareness regarding marketing letters (unlikely). Poor business tactics.Edd Kirby Adventure
