My mother passed away on April 13th, 2024. I contacted Colonial ********************** ************ a total of 4 times to receive a transfer form regarding the policy of my minor child being a beneficiary. I was told each time that I called the form was in the mail. The dates that I called were April 23, May 9, May 21, and June 5th. On May 21st, I called and spoke with a supervisor who stated the form has not been mailed because we need to confirm the date of death. I had already explained this the first time I called on April 23. I was told by the supervisor by the name of **** when I called again on May 21st that it will be 10 business days. When I follow up today, June 5th, I was told the form is not mailed yet but at the back office end. I am submitting a complaint for authorities to look into Colonial Penn practices since I have been waiting over 2 months for 1 form to sign so that I can go forward with the death claim. Please investigate this company. Colonial *************************** ********************** 46082-1918

A while back I purchased a life insurance to have in case I passed and my son would be able to pay for my cremation . Come to find out just recently, my total coverage is $657.00 ??? Now they are asking I pay more so I can add to my benefit .I find this to be a scam and Ive been paying $9.95 for a while . I could have saved this instead . Colonial Penn is taking advantage of people . I want to make sure they cancel my policy and refund me my premiums .

During the first week of March 2024, I wanted to purchase new life insurance. I sought a quote from Colonial Penn which only gave a quote if I kept hitting enter. At no time did it say that hitting enter would process a purchase but that is exactly what happened. I was merely trying to get a quote to see if I wanted to purchase a policy. Once it processed the purchase entirely blindsiding me, I saw that the $99.50 paid for a lot less insurance than I could get elsewhere. I immediately called the *********************************************************************************************************** writing and returned the policy. The policy and cancellation form arrived a week later. I signed the cancellation form and returned it the next day when I also did a return to sender of the policy. I received a second cancellation form a few days later but did not return it since I already returned one. The company promised to refund money if cancelled within 30 days, but they claim they never received the policy nor the cancellation form. I know this is untrue. There is no way that they would not get at least one. My return address was on the cancellation letter and did not return to me/ I did a return to sender of the policy.. I did everything I was told to do to get my refund. I want my $99.50 refund immediately.

I signed up for policy online. It's been over a month and I had not received my policy information in the mail as expected. I called today and was told they do not send policy information unless it is requested by phone. It does not state this anywhere on the application form. I am canceling the policy, but now they have to have paperwork signed to cancel it. Meanwhile they have been taking money out of my account. This is a major scam. Avoid Colonial Penn at all cost! And they are saying they don't issue refunds.

I was trying to buy life insurance online. I assumed it was for 10,000$ but they referred to it as units. After securing my credit card number I was *********** was only for 1,100$. I immediately called them and canceled. I was assured it was canceled. Two days later they took 9.95$ off my credit card. When I contacted them they showed no record of my cancellation. Now they want to send me a cancellation survey in the mail and I have to fill it out before they cancel. This was never told me the first time I tried to cancel. I have had to block them and get a new credit card. My whole point to filing this is if you start seeing more people complaining about them. They are very suspect.

My mom had two policies RN69065369 benefit ******* whole life and TY67946542 ********. My mother asked for ***** $ loan from her policy before she died and the money arrived after her death. This money was meant to pay for her care while in hospice but she got it after she passed away. So we ripped the check on 8/12/2023 when it arrived. She passed on 8-10-2023. I am my mom's beneficiary. I called Colonial pen and filled a claim telling them that my mom never received the loan before she died she got it after. The person reported that they will escalate the claim and send me the full amount on two weeks.A month later I got 2,051`and *****. I have called 3 times ever since and the case gets escalated and send to for payment which I am told I will receive in 5 days. Last call was today and 2nd call was on 9-27-2023. I would like for Colonial Pen to stop stalling this payment.

Two charges were taken out of my bank account on 9/15/2023. One was for ***** and the other was *****. I did not purchase these policies. Tried to get my money back on three different calls and each time they said that they would credit my account, but as of yet nothing has been posted to my account.

On 9/26/23 I went online to colonialpenn.com to get a quote on life insurance. It said I had to enter a credit/debit card to receive the quote but my card would not be charged until a policy had been issued. I checked my bank account the same day and noticed a charge in the amount of $29.85. I contacted Colonial Penn and was told the money would be back in my account in 24hrs. It has now been 72hrs and the money was not returned. I called Colonial Penn this morning (9/29/23) and spoke with ****** who said it should take 6-8 WEEKS for me to get my money back. I explained multiple times I did not want to purchase a policy, only get a quote. He said non-the-less, a policy was issued and I'd have to jump thru hoops to get my money back and the policy canceled. This seems like fraud or product misrepresentation.
