I contacted ****** **** from B & B GA Flooring through Messenger on September 1, 2024, to request an estimate for flooring installation. We discussed some options and decided on LVP flooring and that we would supply all materials. The total for the labor of the job came to $1,500.00. ****** came out on September 9th to start the job, we was told it would take 2 days to complete. On 9/13 we received an invoice for 75% of the work, I immediately paid it via Cash App in good faith that the job would be completed satisfactorily. On 9/17/24, ****** messaged me that the job was complete. It was not so ****** came back out again. On 9/18/24, ****** sent another message saying it was complete. I let her know I was very disappointed and still incomplete and sent pictures of the items. On 9/23/24, I messaged her again of another major problem area in the kitchen that we noticed once the stove was put back in correct position. I let her know I had requested a refund and was having someone come out to give an estimate for fixing the problems. Again I showed her more photos. On 10/2/24, I asked again for refund and was denied. I invited her out to take a look, no response. I tried to call, no response. We are very unsatisfied with the workmanship of the flooring and the condition it was left in, and minor damages done while doing the floors.

    Business response

    10/12/2024

Customer paid 75% of work already done, including work that was not included in price such as the sub floor. The remaining balance was not collected due to customer not being happy. However, labor was done for the amount paid and customer wanted to call out another company to fix the remaining.

I am rejecting this response because: Good afternoon. I was unable to send a rebuttal due to being out of the country during the time frame for the rebuttal. I am unsatisfied with the flooring install due to mistakes, poor workmanship, and being left unfinished. I messaged ****** **** multiple times about the job being unfinished. I invited her out to see the work for herself. I tried calling with no answer or return call. I had explained to her that the stairs were so messed up that I was going to have to call someone out for an estimate to fix the flooring because she claimed the job was "done". I did call a company for an estimate, but they did not want to touch it the way it was done. They said they would have to start all over and it would be very costly. I again contacted her sending her pictures only to have her claim that her husband did not leave the floor in "that condition". The flooring was literally cut out along the shape of the stove. We discovered it when we slid the stove back into the correct position, pictures attached. There are gaps big enough to fit part of my hand down in on the stairs instead of the flooring butting up to the stair skirting. There is a gap at the top of the steps in the hallway that was not left large enough for a transition strip to fit into, this is now a tripping hazard. While replacing the section of sub floor at the front door he damaged the trim and wall, pictures attached. We had just had a professional paint job on the inside of the house the month before. Also, at the front door the flooring is uneven and coming apart, pictures attached. There are corners that are missing flooring around the trim all throughout the house where the floor was cut wrong. The company is unwilling to give a refund for the labor. We purchased the materials ourselves. When I invited ****** back out to see the mistakes, I did not get a response. She claims that she gave the option of him coming back out but when I tried to contact her, she did not respond. I pointed all this out to her with pictures through the messenger app. I feel that I am entitled to a refund since my flooring is clearly not the workmanship they promised. Thank you for your review of this case. Please see the attached. If I need to send more I can, I just didn't want to send to many. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *******
