On May 07, 2024 I went to Life Point Dental for a regular dental cleaning and exam. The hygienist, did a wing x-ray on me and then moved to an dental chair , where she made a quick look in my mouth . She then said I had SRP , and needed a Deep Cleaning on 2 teeth # ** and 28 . I said I did not want this procedure . The price was quoted as ****** . The Dentist came in and ask why I did not want the procedure , I remarked I just did not not want it , I wanted my regular cleaning , which by the way I had already paid for on an inhouse dental plan which I was suppose to get 2 Cleanings per calendar year. I had purchased this plan on October 24 , 2023. The Dentist , ************, ask me several times why I did not want this procedure . I felt pressured to have this done., but I refused .I ask for my regular cleaning , which was refused by the Dentist. I left . On May 15 th ***** I went to another Dentist at ***************** Dental and got a second opinion. The Dentist said after a through oral exam and looking at the x-rays from Life Point Dental , that I had no SRP ,no infection ,no periodontal disease and did not see any reason for a deep cleaning. The hygienist did a cleaning on my teeth, and removed two spots that ************ said was needing a Deep Cleaning . My in-house plan says no refund if patient chooses not to use their dental plan . But because the Dentist refused to do the regular cleaning I am asking for a refund of ****** .This was the cost of my last visit. I was contacted by phone by ****************** , the office manager on May 20 th , I had e-mailed the dentist office requesting a refund of ******. ******** said they stood behind there dentist , and they did not recognize second opinions . I obtained this Lady's name she would not give last name and her position , Conversation ended at this point.
