Thank you for escalating your concerns.  LendingPoint completed an investigation and found an application from our partner LendingTree on 7/22/2022, which was funded on 7/23/2022 for $10,193.89 with a regular monthly payment of $326.00.  In January 2023, you enrolled in a Temporary Reduced Payment Plan, which lowered your monthly payment to $32.60 for three months.  In April 2023, you requested a due date change, which permanently moved your due date to the 26th of the month.  In July 2023 and October 2023, the loan was enrolled in two additional Temporary Reduced Payment Plans, which again lowered your monthly payment to $32.60 for June through December 2023.  The last payment was received on 12/24/2023.  LendingPoint attempted to contact you numerous times, however, the loan was eventually charged off on 7/25/2024 and sold to ICR on 9/30/2024.  A request was submitted to the credit bureaus on 4/25/2025 to delete this tradeline from your credit report, as the debt is no longer owed to LendingPoint; please allow the credit bureaus a few weeks to update their records accordingly.  For more information regarding this debt please contact ICR.

I paid off my lending point loan February *******. Ive contacted them multiple times Inquiring about my refund of loan overpayment. When I first contacted them 1 month after overpayment, they said they have the overpayment on file but a refund has not been started. They said they would return my overpayment via direct deposit into my checking account I never received it so I called back. They said they mailed a check, however they mailed it to a previous address that I did not live at even when I took out the loan. Again they said they would reissue it to the checking account on file. I received an email saying they sent a refund check. I again did not receive it so I called back. This time they told me they show a refund owed to me but never a check issued. Now they are saying they have to to get permission from upper management to issue my refund! It had been owed to me for almost 2 months.

We are sorry to hear of your frustrations.  LendingPoint completed an investigation into your loan that was paid in full on 2/26/2025.  On April 2, 2025, the overpayment on your account was issued via check and mailed to the address on file.  On April 14, 2025, you called and advised that the address on file was outdated, supplied the correct mailing address, and requested that the refund be issued via ACH into your bank account.  The refund was issued to your bank account on 4/18/2025, and your customer success representative sent an email advising of this transaction.  We believe this issue has been resolved, but we remain on standby.

I have been paying off my $10,000 loan with Lending Point since 2022. In three years, I am frustrated to see that my balance has only reduced to $9,253. I have enrolled in a 3 month hardship plan that reduced my payments, but I still couldn't believe that in 3 years of making payments, I only paid $765 in principle!! So now my frustrations have turned into outrage because I cannot find any documentation that breaks down the remaining term of my loan (since its obvious I won't be done in 7 years like I had planned) or how much I have paid into interest and fees. They do not send you paper documents of any kind, especially statements. Fine. But they also don't send you electronic documents outside of the original loan agreement. Additionally, the website and app does not accurately portray the current charges due, and as a result, I ended up under paying a month not realizing it until two weeks later when LendingPoint called me and told me that was past due. And of course that only increased my interest charges. This could have all been avoided if I was given a statement that clearly broke down past due and current charges, including current interest accruals.I can't help but think that the lack of statements, whether electronic or by mail, is intentional because they don't want customers to see their predatory and dishonest practices, and push for a lack of transparency and incredibly high interest rates that will keep you paying them for decades and barely scratch the surface. I have never dealt with ANY company that refuses to give you an itemized statement of what you owe them and how they are allocating your funds. I will never get a loan with them again and I will be quickly trying to refinance with a different company. Until then, I demand for Lending Point to do the proper business practice and send me my monthly statements!

Thank you for escalating your concerns.  LendingPoint completed an investigation into the loan that was funded on 2/17/2022 for $10,600 with a regular payment of $338.99.  On June 22, 2022, you enrolled in a Temporary Reduced Payment Plan that lowered your monthly payment to $67.80 for three months.  On 12/27/2024, you enrolled in a second Temporary Reduced Payment Plan, lowering your bill to $101.58 for three months.  During the payment modifications, no changes were made to the remaining terms of your loan, including interest rate.  LendingPoints loans are customer-friendly simple interest loans (similar to auto loans and mortgage loans), where interest accrues daily, and as stated in your contract, payments are applied to accrued interest first, followed by the principal.  A copy of your amortization schedule was sent to you, and we have attempted to follow up, but have been unable to reach you.  For continued support, please call your customer success representative, *****, at **************.

I am rejecting this response because:

I'm still waiting for someone to answer my questions on how much outstanding interest I have and provide me with a 10 Day Payoff Quote. If someone from your company tried calling then they didn't leave a message or a call back number, so how am I to know that they even called?

When I intiated communication with **** from Lending Point, I always get different numbers on the outstanding interest on my account, and that amortization schedule did nothing to clarify. The online portal is essentially useless in explaining my loan balance because it changes everyday and it does not tell me anything.

I cannot continue to give you money without knowing exactly how my payments are being applied. I would have never signed up for the payment relief programs had I known that doing so would add 4 years to my maturity date, which is absolutely insane! The only way I know that is because I had to call and request it once I realized that after 3 years of paying you, I was getting nowhere.

Further, a legitimate business should not make me jump through hoops to retrieve information that should be easily avaliable to me. You mention that your loans are similar to a home mortgage and auto loan. Well, I have an auto loan and I know exactly how much accrued interest is on the account, my principal balance, and they even give me a 10 day payoff quote. They are very transparent and I never have to call them and ask for that information. On the contrary, Lending Point loans are very convoluted and even when I call, I'm not given the correct info or your **** are unable to answer simple questions.

Therefore, Lending Point, why are you hiding important information that consumers need to make important decisions about their loan? Why do you not provide consumers with electronic statememts? Why can no one tell me what my total accrued interest is?

    Sincerely,

    **** ********

We are sorry to hear of your continued frustrations.  We wanted to let you know that your customer success representative sent you the most recent information requested via email on April 23, 2025; a copy of your loan amortization schedule, which included the allocation of each payment towards principal, interest, and fees, was sent on April 15, 2025.  If you did not receive these documents, please let us know.  Regarding the changing interest balance on your loan, as interest accrues daily, the interest balance on your loan will also change daily, increasing on days where there is no payment and decreasing after payments are processed.  We hope this addresses your concerns, but we remain on standby to assist further.

I have a loan with LendingPoint (LP). Due to extreme financial hardship in 2/24, I began monthly payments to LP from a consolidation company with an approved settlement; ******************** (****), Unfortunately, **** was only paying LP ($167 monthly with a settlement of $4020). After 11 months, **** failed to assist with other accounts (I paid $500 monthly to FLLG). Therefore, due to the failed attempts from **** & contract duties, I had to cancel my consolidation with FLLG on 1/21/25. LP settled for 4020 and received monthly payments (never missed) for a total of $1675 (balance of $2345.I contacted LP on 1/21/25 about my termination from ****. I was told I had to wait 7-10 days to proceed with LP. I called back after & was on hold for over an hour on 2 different occasions & was disconnected. On another day, when I finally received a live person (on hold again for over an hour) I was told my $4020 settlement was no longer in effect & they would not accept my remaining balance of $2345. This upset me terribly, as I offered to pay in full on this day. I know my rights & had so many days to dissolve FLLG within a window of negotiating. Other creditors have since accepted settlement amounts.I asked LP to send me their decision in writing. I was told I would receive an email within 3 days. As of 3/20/25 I have received no correspondence from LP. I have made multiple attempts to reach them. I work daily in a building with no reception. I cannot call every day & spend an hour on the phone to be disconnected or told we cannot assist you - you pay over $8000 or nothing. I have emailed every address I was given(payments, customer care, & memberservices). Every time, I received an automated reply that someone would respond with 2-3 business days - not one response was ever received by email, mail, or phone. I am trying to resolve this (with reason). I have offered several options & no response by mail or phone. They won't respond yet keep adding charges on the balance.

I am rejecting this response because: I disagree with the comment "We have tried to reach you and unable to do so". I have contacted Lending Point many times by phone and by email with no luck. Everytime I've called I either received "I cannot help you" or "I will transfer you" - which I was disconnected multiple times. As noted in my complaint, being on hold for over an hour at nonpeak times is way too much to not be helped or disconnected. It's sad that it took filing a complain with the BBB before someone has contacted me. I received an email this morning confirming my number and the best time to reach me. Let's see if I'm actually contacted, I hope so.  I have tried too many times to reach someone to resolve this matter.

I make 2 payments on my account, one February 12th and one February 19th. I check my account frequently and noticed on February 26 the payment was reversed, I immediately corrected the payments with a different account. The problem is it took 6 days for the original payment to be reversed making the account late 32 days. I spoke to ****** ***** and she said it should only take 2-3 days for a payment to reverse but it was the weekend, that's why it took 6 days, I tried to explain that credit bureau goes by calendar days not business days. I sent her an email back to try and resolve this but she did not even respond back to me. That's an error on Lending Point's part for the long turn around times plus it clearly showed when I made the payments they (Cleared), not pending, it clearly states the payment cleared so I believed the payment cleared, but then 6 days later the payment was reversed. I did not receive any notification from Lending point either in a phone call or a text. Please correct my credit report. loan number ********

Thank you for letting us know of your frustrations.  LendingPoint completed an investigation into your loan that was funded on 1/28/2020 with a regular monthly payment of $835.66.  On 5/20/2020, you enrolled in a COVID-reduced payment plan, which temporarily reduced your monthly payment to $83.57 for three months.  On 8/27/2020, you enrolled in a loan modification that changed your monthly payment to $663.16.  On 5/20/2022, you enrolled in a workout agreement, that reduced your payment to $132.63 for three months before increasing to a new regular payment amount of $518.75.  On 10/21/2022, you enrolled in a Temporary Reduced Payment Plan, that lowered your payment to $155/63 for three months.  Payments for the bills due from January 2023 through August 2024 were paid within 29 days of the due date.  The 9/24/2024 bill was not satisfied until 11/12/2024, resulting in 30+ days delinquency for October and November 2024.

On 2/12/2025, a payment was made for the 1/24/2025 bill, which was returned by your bank on 2/19/2025, and on 2/19/2025, another payment was attempted for the 2/24/2025 bill., which was again returned by your bank on 2/25/2025.  Replacement payments were made on our website on 2/25/2025 and 2/26/2025.  As a result of these returned payments, the 1/24/2025 bill was not satisfied until 2/25/2025 and was more than 30 days delinquent.  To comply with FCRA guidelines, LendingPoint is required to report the account accurately, which we have done.  We hope this addresses your concerns.
