Every day I am receiving up to 7 calls a day from spoofed local numbers with a robo call stating congratulations on my loan press 1 to be connect or simply call back on direct line. The numbers when called back are not working numbers. When i press 1, I am connected to someone who just says thanks for calling LendingPoint is this ******. When I tell them i have never applied for a loan, nor want anything to do with LendingPoint's scam and to stop calling they simply hang up. Each time the caller ID shows a different local number and I'm tired of the unsolicited calls.Business response

I was contacted by this company saying that I was approved for a loan of 5000.00. I was talking to a girl named Margret and she told me since my credit score was low I needed to boost it up by taking my 700.00 I had in my bank account and buying a green dot card in the amount of 700.00 and it would look like a pd loan in one day. I did this then she calls me back and says that insurance has put a hold on my funds and I will need to pay 300.00 so the funds will be released to me in the amount of 6000.00. I did this so I could get my funds. Margret said that there will be no more fees involved once this was pd. So I waited for my funds but they never showed up. Margret gave me the senior advisor phone number XXXXXXXXXX in case there was any trouble and kept reassuring me this was not a scam that they have been accredited with the better business bureau since 1993. I called the senior advisor. So he says that I need to pay another 200 dollars because state put a hold on my money.Business response

I called to pay my loan off early last week (July 22nd), and it has not been taken out of my account. I called several times thereafter to ask why the funds haven't been taken out to satisfy my account. I do not understand what the delay is as I'm paying my loan off, and hope LendingPoint is not trying to delay my final payment in order to accrue more interest. Also, I never received a payment processing email as I normally do when payment is being processed.Business response

In none of the company's info sent out while trying to apply for a loan does it say they do not accept metabank. Because of this my credit report has been hit and unfairly negatively impacted by this company because there is no list at the very begining before you apply telling you which banks they do not accept..Business response
