On January 29, 2024, I visited Plant Fitness, ********, ** and upgraded my SilverSneakers membership to a Black Card membership. I was told that the SilverSneakers membership is free, but I was to be charged $13.03 for the Black Card upgrade. Automatic payments would be deducted from my credit card on the 17th of each month. When I visited Planet Fitness on 2/22/24 I was abruptly stopped in my tracks and told that I had to produce a different payment method because a payment had been stopped? First of all, I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EMBARRASSED IN MY LIFE. Secondly, my debit card was on file with PF and I assumed my payment had been deducted on the 17th. On 4/3, I was charged $28.03 which included a $15.00 LATE FEE for March??? On 4/4, I called and spoke with ***, the manager at ********, about my sporadic billing dates and late charges. She told me to call *** Billing as she could not refund the late charge. On 4/4, I called *** and spoke with ****. Everyone was accusing me of stopping a payment when clearly PF had control of my card. After a long discussion with ****, she assured me that *** would fix the problem and there would be no more issues. Nevertheless, on 4/24, I was again charged $28.03.On 5/3 I regrettably decided to close my membership with PF. However, I was talked into downgrading to the classic SilverSneakers free membership.Believe it or not, on 5/21/24, I received a courtesy call from *********** Services Team requesting another payment method. Since I now have the SilverSneakers Classic membership, there is no need for ANY payment method.THERE IS NOT AND HAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM WITH MY DEBIT CARD! As discussed with ***, I believe PF is confusing my former independent membership payments with insurance company plan payments, which somehow jeopardized my debit card. In any event, please do whatever it takes to stop the harassment and issue me a refund for bogus late fees in the amount of $30.

I went online on October 13, 2023 to start a membership with Planet Fitness who were running a special deal for a $1.00 start up fee and $10.00 a month (Classic membership) at 1 club only. I signed up for the membership (putting in my zip code along with other pertinent information). Once the sign up was completed, a contract was sent that signed me up for a Planet Fitness in another county (Dekalb) which is a ************* (32 minutes) from my house when there was a club 2.5 miles from my home. I immediately called the Planet Fitness in question (less than 10 minutes after receiving the contract) and they told me that there would be no problem transferring the contract to the Planet Fitness location in my area and that the transfer would take 2 business days. When 2 business days passed (October 17, 2023), I called back to the location and they were now saying that I could not transfer my contract for 90 days and I could upgrade my membership to a Black membership so that I could go to any Planet Fitness for $25 per month if I wanted to work out at my local club. If the employee over the phone had mentioned that up front, I could have cancelled my membership on October 13th and went directly to my local Planet Fitness and signed up under the special deal. Instead, I had waited, gotten charged my 1st $10 payment, and would have to wait 86 more days before I could transfer. If I cancelled that day (October 17th) and tried to sign up at my local Planet Fitness, it would have cost $59 to sign up for the same gym package. I finally went to the ******** Planet Fitness, complained, and cancelled my gym membership without ever using the gym facilities (lost $12.32 from $1.00 start up fee, $1.32 prorated October costs, and $10.00 November costs). There were at least 6 Planet Fitness locations closer and the lack of help solving my issue was concerning.

The WORST planet fitness in the world!!!!When I first signed up I came to the desk. The girl didnt even wanna talk to me she said just download the app and sign up there. So I did. I scanned in and started working out. My second time back there I was physically sick. Eyes puffy. Fever blister. With a sinus infection that traveled in my ear. Already ashamed and embarrassed. Trying to avoid all contact with people. When I scanned in. I was told I needed to take a pic. I said not today please and walked away still embarrassed. Covering my face. Im working out. A manager comes up to me. Im putting my head down. Trying to cover my face I tell him maybe tomorrow; you can see my Id he disagreed. I finally looked up and said its visible why I dont wanna take a picture today right. Just give me ***** or do what you have to do I keep working out. But Im otp with corporate working out now cause I feel hes going to do something crazy. Next thing I see is police walking through the door. 5 cop cars are literally in the front of the building for me!!!! I lost my mind. I already fought so hard to wake up at 7am to get in the building. I give yall my last ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************* that neighborhood. Yall call the police on me. The entire staff is out of shape and not friendly at all. Them police couldve shot me dead all because mentally I dont feel strong enough to shut up and just leave. Hints to why I was even there. I pray God spin the block for me. Touch not mine anointed. Theyll need ***** one day.

I signed up online for a free trial with Planet Fitness online. it said Free Trial No Commitment No Hassle. I never stepped foot in the gym once. I attempted to cancel when I realized they started charging me. Last month they charged me $20. This month they charged me $54. I called the gym as I im in ******* suffering with MS. *** gym told me I had to come in to cancel. I advised him that I could not come in. He then said I had to send a letter in writing. I asked for an email address and he told me I couldnt send via email. I advised that I am unable to leave house. He then gave me a fake email address and hung up on me. I sent an email on their site asking for cancellation. Ive called. Ive never utilized them and now they are forcing me with a commitment and giving me a hassle.
