  I have lived here for a year and the half with a warped floor. I mentioned the issue when I moved in and wrote it on the checklist that was provided. The employee who was responsible for handling this issue is no longer employed and it appears the issue was not handed off. I recently discovered after my lease renewal that other tenants are paying significantly less for apartments that have no structural problems. My issue is that the quality of the apartment does not match the amount they're charging in rent. The floor sinks from the wall to the middle of the living room floor. I am afraid that one day myself, my son, or my dog is going to fall through the roof of the bottom apartment. The complex had a company to appraise the floor, however the man stated that the issue is structural. The company would not be able to repair because of the significance of the damage. I had to call the leasing office to get an update, but according to them, they're trying to find another contractor. After expressing how ******* over I feel, their manager stated that the only resolution is to break my lease. I have no problem paying rent, I would just prefer it be in an environment that's stable.

  Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/22) */ A flooring vendor came out to inspect the flooring and they do not do the type of flooring repairs needed. Another contractor is scheduled to come out next week. We are working on getting this repair completed. Although there is someone who will be looking into the matter, I feel I should not be liable for rent until the repairs are made. This is a hazardous and since I cannot be moved into another apartment, I feel rent should be withheld until the space is secure. As of today, no rent is due, and the floor is expected to be repaired before the next month's rent is due.
