Looking to compare quotes from various companies to plan our move, I was connected with Atlas Mover Group. Already familiar with the process and after speaking on the phone for more than an hour reviewing everything, we paid a deposit to get the quote. When asked about cancellation and deposit refund, it was explained we would get a call 72 hours prior to our moving date to review. if we cancel prior to this call we would be refunded in full. We were reassured of this multiple times and definitively reassured when questioning some inconsistent wording in the contract. We would not pay such a large deposit without clear and repeated reassurance it would be refundable and was simply a step necessary in getting a move estimate. After paying the deposit, we were looking for others experiences to compare with companies wed be quoted by. We quickly realized our error in thinking we had been quoted by Atlas Van Lines, a reputable company. In trying to get in contact with Atlas Mover Group we were routed to an unaffiliated broker, who, suspicious of what we had briefly said, asked for further details. He was very concerned that our contract lacked crucial information provided by every bill of lading. Finally when we were able to reach Atlas Mover Group, we sent a formal request to cancel, in writing and phone, within 36 hours. All other companies we had booked for quotes to compare cancelled and refunded any deposit with no issues. Atlas Mover Group refused our refund and we spent the next 2 months (in the process of moving across the country) trying to get our money back for a service not provided as we went with a different company. Atlas Mover Group was persistently and intentionally disingenuous throughout this process, employing every tactic possible to avoid any step towards a resolution. The only way to accurately describe this company is a scam.

Wow, never have I worked with a group of people who care less for you! I'm disgusted! I spoke with ***** ****** in *******, he quoted me a price, 1500$ on a card, 1000$ when mover come 1000$ when mover deliver. Then a week before moving date a call from a *** *****, with ****************** we go over my not quite 800 sq ft apt stuff, which I have gone over with *****. *** tells me I need 500 cubic ft not 300 cubic ft.REALLY? *** asks for 1328$ on a card and says, 1250 when mover come and 1250$ when delivered. Then I am handed over to Fairway Movers who tell me they will arrive between 11-3pm to pick up. They arrive at 8:20pm, I miss my flight, need a room at the airport hotel. ***** with Fairway Moving charged me 2819$ when leaving my apartment, telling me I did'nt need the extra cubic space, and says I will owe 2819 when they deliver. I have 30 days free storage, I will need six extra days of storage, gotta pay 480$ more for that! Who care thet came late and I missed my flight and needed a hotel room aat 11:00 at night. Totally unacceptable. Lord help me.

This company is a scammer, we mistaken them for Atlas canines. Sales presented themselves as a reputable company however they will scam you. They will you one price while on the day of moving you will be charged more money, beware they dont take credit card so you will have no recourse to back track the money you pay them. They are high risk if you use them. Once you pay them they dont answer your calls anymore. We lost over $3000

Do not use this company! Deceptive business practice. Led us to believe they were Atlas Van Lines. They are only a broker. Quoted the move at $20,000. They grossly underestimated the volume. Total move cost was $37,700.

avoid them like the plague. the people you talk to on the phone are not the same who come to get your furniture. then they tell me the estimate was wrong and it is actually more. it seems that they sell their contract to the actual movers who tell you they wont load till you pay the higher amount. God help you if you have a claim. After jumping through many hoops and e mailing several companies I am told I need receipts of when i purchased the items(in my case over 15 years ago.) I finally told them to go pack sand. If you choose to use them you have been warned!!!

DO NOT use this company!!! YOU WILL BE ROBBED!!! I'm only giving them one star because we did get our stuff moved and delivered! However, the process from start to finish was the thing nightmares are made of. First of all, Atlas Mover Group is NOT the same as Atlas Van Lines, unfortunately, I realized that too late! My husband and I moved from ** to **, in our attempt to make that as painless as possible it was anything but that! I paid the deposit for the contract, was contacted 2 weeks later saying I needed to pay more money for more space, which I paid. Only to find out the day of moving, another company came to get our stuff, and I was then told that I had to pay them $2,500.00 before they even packed a box because I needed more space; that I already paid for. Atlas Movers sells your contract to other moving companies so you pay them initially, for literally nothing and then still have to pay outrageous fees to whomever comes to get your stuff! I tried calling two of the agents that I dealt with at the start of this process to try to get some answers, I texted the number that was provided to me "in case you need anything", I'm still waiting on a response from a week ago! The movers that came, trashed my house, left their lunch and empty drink containers on the floor in several rooms, destroyed painting that were shoved inside a box with the most random of things, and what was supposed to be around $3,200.00 ended up being almost $7,000.00! The delivery date that was CONFIRMED by Atlas was not met by the company that came to get our things. We closed on our house on 8/8 with a delivery date set for 8/10, our whole house, except our clothes were on a truck for 5 days. At which time I was told that upon delivery I needed to pay CASH or money order for the delivery before they would unload the truck! Again, I tried reaching out to two of the contacts with Atlas and have never heard back from either of them! This company is a joke, plain and simple! Keep Searching!

Well all arefurniture and boxes and motorcycles got mingled in with a ******* delivery, the driver and helpers very nice, efficient but smashed two boxes of dishes ( antique milk bottle glass and two vases) marked fragile and put in heavy duty small ****** boxes; charged me $300 for the blankets they wrapped my furniture in and 1/3 were ours, and lost a box of tools and two framed pictures broke the glass and were wrapped in cardboard and bubble wrapped twice but were smashed between boxes. Most other stuff all survived! The loaders and unloaded were efficient and friendly and the driver said to contact you and I'd get a credit for the breakage like a credit for the broken stuff and 1/3 the blankets then you can have a better review from me. PD

All fees were explained at booking. The only thing that was not disclose was that there would be a third-party company contracted out to complete the move and that the entire truck was going to be unloaded and reload on to a different truck for delivery. The packing team was very nice and efficient. Only one issue was that one of my jewelry stands was taken apart and a piece is now missing. Also two other items are broken. The delivery team (1 guy) was amazing. He was able to unload everything despite he had no help. He made sure that he took pictures of the broken items and gave me guidance on making a claim. I would have given them five stars if it wasn't for the broken item and the one item that should've never been taken apart.

Deceptive sales practices 1. Did not inform me they subcontracted out the job 2. Informed 4-6 day delivery out of state, subcontractors every day changed the story. When left, when to expect them. I am in another state without my clothes and things at their mercy.DO NOT USE THEM
