I purchased a set of 4 tires the end of Nov 2024 which were eligible for $100 rebate. I sent the requested information in on 11-25-2024, on 12-20-2024 I was emailed that it was approved. On Jan 9 2025 I rec'd an email it was denied. I contacted them via phone and was told I did meet the criteria and they were unsure why it showed denied. Jan 22, 2025 an email was sent it was approved(again). I reached out to Pirelli multiple times in the past few months and each time receive emails with excuses and that they "understand my frustration". When I suggested I should contact BBB as it sounded like a scam, then I was told I was in the next batch of rebates going out, but I still didn't receive the rebate. I was told they were sending a digital rebate which should be even easier to send to customers. After 5 months of waiting, hopefully BBB can help resolve this.Business Response

Upon purchasing pirelli ** ** **** * on February 22nd 2025, I've had numerous complaints about the tires. Upon reaching out to Pirelli directly, they keep referring to the dealer where I bought the tires. After running back and forth, I have found that both the dealer and manufacture to be in a conflict on the policy and warranty they offer. The dealer insists on me buying new tires so they can send the old ones in to Pirelli for inspection and to see if they are eligible for a credit. However, I was told I have 6 days left and the tires need to be back at the shop before then. However, the dealer won't offer an alternative model which I've requested. They also won't offer the same price as I originally paid and refuse to pay for the shipping of the tires back to the shop and to pay an Extra 100 for the increase in price. I hope that Pirelli can still offer the 60 day satisfaction guaranteed (confidence program) but with another dealer or another alternative. I do not wish to buy another set of tires especially the same model from the same dealer.Business Response

I ordered new tires from Pirelli via **** **** in December of 2024. Pirelli was running a promotion if you buy certain sets of tires, you would received a $100 rebate. I did that. I purchased the tires, submitted my rebate information and was approved for my rebate by Pirelli on 1/3/25. From my approval date of 1/3/25, I was quoted 8-10 weeks until I would receive my payment. I still have not received my payment. I’ve reached out several times to their rebate center and they keep telling me they are working on it and I should see it soon. This is all starting to feel like a scam and waiting almost a month after the initial quote for my rebate is completely unacceptable at this point. I keep getting the run around and I just want my payment issued.Business Response

I bought a set of 4 Pirelli tires in late November 2024 that were eligible for a $100 rebate by Pirelli. I submitted all requested information and on 12.26.24 received an email from Pirelli that my rebate was approved and would be paid out in 6-8 weeks. We recently purchased a new set of Pirelli *** ** **** *** tires. They were professionally mounted and balanced, and the vehicle was also aligned, however one of the tires pulls hard to one side regardless of the side the vehicle it is mounted on. The technician said it is a manufacturing defect, most likely belt separation or other internal structural failure. We contacted Pirelli to get a replacement under warranty but got nothing but a runaround. Pirelli says we need to contact one of their local dealers, *****, **** *******, which we did but the dealers say we have to deal with Pirelli directly. So, we paid a premium price for a defective product and are getting no resolution at all.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: they sent a letter indicating that it needs to be addressed through their local dealer, who as mentioned previously, says we need to go through Pirelli , same as before. Pirelli can just send a replacement tire to their dealer and have them exchange it for the defective one. This can’t be that difficult.
Sincerely,

Dear ***,
Thank you for your follow-up. We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble initiating a warranty claim. Our warranty process does indeed begin at the dealer level. Your authorized dealer should dismount the tires and submit the tires along with the proper warranty claim documentation to the Pirelli Warranty Center. They will send the tires to us and we will inspect it to make sure it meet the criteria for the warranty. If the tires are accepted, your authorized dealer will be credited back the cost of the tires, which will then be passed on to you.
The process varies from dealer to dealer. Some dealers offer the credit upfront, while others wait until they actually receive the credit from us. At the very least, your Dealer should be willing to submit a warranty claim for you as they are an Authorized Pirelli Dealer.
If you are still having trouble with your dealer, While you are there please ask them to call us directly at ************ ******* **, or simply provide us with all the dealer contact details so we can reach out to them directly.
If you wish to visit another dealer, you can use our dealer locator to find another authorized dealer near you:Tire shop near me | Pirelli - ******************************************************************
Please be advised, that some dealers may be unwilling to assist as some dealers have policies in which they only initiate warranty claims for tires purchased directly from them.
If you find a dealer that is willing to assist you in initiating a warranty claim and have any questions about our warranty claim procedure, please ask them to call us at ************ ******* ** and we would be happy to walk them through the process.

I am rejecting this response because:
So you are suggesting we should have your dealer dismount the defective tire, send it back to you, leaving the car undriveable while we wait for you to send a replacement tire to the dealer? Absolutely unacceptable! Is Pirelli going to pay for a rental vehicle while we wait? We would think a global company like Pirelli would stand behind their products and be able to send a warranty replacement tire to their authorized dealer who already said the product is defective. You can ship it to our local ***** or **** *******, and they will return the defective one to you.
Sincerely,

On January 27, 2023, I purchased a set of Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II tires for my 2019 Audi S5 from **** ********* (**** **** ********* *** ********** ***. These tires were used strictly during winter seasons, adhering to recommended speed limits and proper maintenance practices. On February 27, 2025, my passenger-side front tire suddenly experienced an internal blowout during normal driving conditions. **** ********* confirmed it was unrepairable due to internal structural failure, not caused by external factors or improper use. I had to replace the tire at a cost of $499.99 and perform a four-wheel alignment for $518.00 (invoice number: ******). Shortly thereafter, another tire (driver-side rear) also suffered the exact same internal failure, again without external damage or excessive tread wear. On January 27, 2023, I initially paid $2178.00 for these tires (invoice number: ******), and the cumulative mileage on these tires was less than 10,000 miles, far below Pirelli’s warranty terms. Given these repeated failures indicating a potential product defect, I contacted Pirelli seeking warranty support and compensation. However, due to the inconvenience, safety concerns, and substantial financial losses totaling $3195.99, I am seeking assistance from BBB to obtain a fair resolution from Pirelli.Business Response

I purchased a new set of tires through **** **** in November 2024. As part of the deal, a manufacturer's rebate was promised in the amount of $100. After purchasing a full set of tires (within the requirements of the deal), I immediately filed for the manufacturer's rebate in November 2024. It is now almost April 2025 and I still have not received the rebate funds nor any update regarding this rebate. I contacted Pirelli in February 2025 and was told that they were working on it. This is unacceptable to take this long. I have been more than patient with Pirelli and now, I will not purchase nor recommend this brand of tires to anyone else. I'm owed the $100 and my next motion will be to file in court with Pirelli. This qualifies as a scam and false advertising, which is illegal.Business Response

In late February I had Pirelli Scopion Winter tires put on my 2022 BMW X5. The tires are so loud at highway speeds that I cannot concentrate. Due to the noise I get out of the vehicle completely over stimulated. I asked my installing dealer to reach out to Pirelli and they were offered a 15% off a new set. I paid nearly 3k for the tires that I can functionally not use. I’m happy to buy a new set of Pirelli’s but they will not be the winter tires.Business Response

Dear **** ********
Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that you have not been pleased with the noise performance of your tires. Noise is unfortunately not a condition covered by our consumer warranty. I am rejecting this response because: the noise level of these tires is not what is advertised. Your website advertises them with the specific verbiage “while producing lower noise and rolling resistance.”In fact the produce more road noise then completing snow tires of the same class and size.
Your website falsely advertised the tires.
