I meet with the representative on the Aug 31st and signed up for a life insurance policy. The agent assured me that no money would be taken from my account. He said it would be deferred. I told him I was on SSI and could not afford a premium. I called him on Sept 1st and told him I noticed a charge from my bank and he "made some phone calls" and called me back and assured me it would be returned to my bank account on Monday. It is now Wednesday and no refund was made. I have tried calling the agent and texting him and he keeps telling me he is busy and will call me,but never does . I even asked for a supervisor number and he won't respond. I would like my money back and I would like to cancel my membership!Business response

We have monthly bank payments of $99.63 for ****** **** ********* and $4.00 Legacy (a subsidiary of ****** ****) since October 2022. We did not request or subscribe to either policy. My wife called ###-###-#### ****** **** customer service and ###-###-#### Legacy Assurance and they confirmed that there are no policies for either myself or my wife. We have contacted the ****** **** Accounting Department and they also have no record of an account and will not confirm receiving payment without our full banking information. Legacy Assurance will also not confirm payment without the banking information. Given the suspect nature of these companies. We are unwilling to provide full banking account information. ****** **** Accounting claims that they cannot search by last 4 digits of banking account or by banking institution.Business response

I cancelled my insurance policy with Legacy Assurance LLC over 3 years ago. They are still debiting my account for $4.00. I tried several times to contact them but the number keeps changing. I was given 3 different phone numbers ###-###-####, (**** ******** and ###-###-#### to try to contact their agency. I was told the company changed their name to Everlasting legacy. My mom and I are being charged $4.00 each that was associated with a insurance policy that was cancelled right after she signed up for it. Then mine was cancelled approx. one to two weeks ago( not exact on the date). First, my mom was charged and I had no idea what it was and I called Legacy. They said there would cancel the monthly charge, but when I asked to get a refund, it wasn't possible. Then I noticed there is a second charge of $4.00 from same place. We were not happy with this situation and want it remedied immediately.Business response

Some sort of scam funeral negotiation product my Mom was signed up for while in a hospital. I have complete POA over her affairs and they refuse to cancel unless they speak to her and she is non verbal and dying. They keep hitting up her bank account.Business response
