Wells Fargo is the servicer of record for Greater Atlantic Mortgage, who was the servicer on our mortgage from August 26, **** until March 26, ****. The loan originated in ****, and changed servicers three times before it was refinanced with our curent morgager in 2015. All three mortgage banks are now out of business, and Greater Atlantic, who Wells Fargo acquired servcing of their loans falied to record a disharge of mortgage when it was sold to the third servicer. Now we have a clouded title and cannot sell our house because the Gretater Atlantic loan still appears as outstanding at the ****** County clerks office in **.My title search resolution company was able to contact an agent at Wells Fargo on January 11, was told they would reveiw, looks uncomplicated, should hear back from them within three business days. The title company didn't hear from anyone until January 18, when they were told the release will be e-sent to the clerk by January 20. Spoke to someone at WF on the 20th, told that there is a problem and they are reviewing the release, call you back early next week.I cannot continue to wait as my closing has already been postponed and my buyers are getting frustrated.

I received a letter on 11/2/2021 from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage stating they had overcharged the rate lock fees in the amount of $3,322.41 on our 2006 home mortgage. I received a check made out to myself ******************************* and ****************************. I contacted Wells Fargo via the telephone number listed on the letter. I explain ************** and I have gone separate ways and are no longer in contact. Wells Fargo informed me they would need a notarized letter from ************** and myself in order to reissue a check for each individual party. I sent in a notarized letter as instructed. I also did an internet search and found Ms. ****** address. I also sent her all the information I received from Wells Fargo as she is entitled to half of this check (********). On 1/07/22, I received a letter from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage stating they gave out wrong information and will not reissue a check. I was also given 7 days to respond stating to reissue a check with "or" so either party would be able to cash the check. Basically, Wells Fargo committed fraud, stole my money, collected interest, admitted it, and now are refusing to issue me a check for the amount I am ($********), because I am no long in a relationship with **************. I am being discriminated against! This amount may not be much to someone else, but this is huge to me. How many other consumers has Wells Fargo Home Mortgage done this to? They stole this money from me for over fifteen (15) years ago, collected interest of the money, got caught, and admitted to fraudulent activity. Once I reach out per Wells Fargo instructions to collect the money I am owed ($********), they change the rules, and refuse to issue me a check. This is another example of discriminatory consumer fraud as Wells Fargo continues to use fraudulent, and unethical business practices. Something needs to be done with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage's unethical business practice as they continue to prey consumers for their benefit.

I contacted the claims department with Wells Fargo mortgage to request a funds release so that we could purchase the replacement cabinets which had to be ordered before Dec 30th 2021 for timberlake was discontinuing that particular brand and color on that date .Wells Fargo mortgage claims refused the request stating the floors would have to be installed first before any other request would be answered. We are living in a home full of Mold which is causing health issues amongst our family .We are trying to schedule to install everything at one time as we have to exit our home for the installs to take place ,and having to wait for Wells Fargo to release funds will push the project back from weeks to months. We are trying to have cabinets ,appliances, paint ,trim. All done on the same Day /week ,so that we can return home as soon as possible .We have had to pay for the cabinets ourselves so that we didn't miss the deadline cutoff of Dec30,2021 .With that being said we need wells fargo to release the funds to pay rhe additional contractors and reimburse what we have already paid out of pocket.

I am currently in a home mortgage perseverance trial program with Wells Fargo. The terms are that for the next three months beginning on January 1st,2022 I make a payment of $75 dollars each month. This $75 dollar payment would be a forbearance payment. I made the $75 dollar payment before Jan.1 with the holidays I didnt want the payment to be late. I have my checking acct. with *********** My checking acct. is set up for ach withdrawal payments of $404.58 to Wells Fargo on the 1st of the month. I had intentions of canceling the ach payments but when I went to the online banking website on December 31st,2021 the transaction had been processed and completed. I called Wells Fargo seeking a refund but was told that they would not be issuing a refund and the payment would be applied to the acct. I asked about the agreement of $75 for the next 3 months the only response I got was that the $404.58 was applied to the acct. I am a disabled individual with limited resources. The $75+$404.58 is well over half the income I receive on a monthly basis. I still have utility bills, auto insurance, and medicine to purchase. Not to mention gasoline and oil change when the car needs it.Please help me to get my money returned so I can have peace of mind and take care of my other bills so I dont have to worry about the cold or no lights. Thank You.

For 9 years I've been trying to get my name off of a Wells Fargo mortgage on a house I bought with my ex husband. In the last two years or so, he defaulted on the mortgage to the point that I got papers in the mail threatening foreclosure.Meanwhile, while I've struggled, my own bills, rent and car loan are paid on time. The biggest struggle so far has been getting a car loan. I got one, but with higher interest than I deserved because of a house I don't live in.There was a loan modification done through a group called "TRIP" meaning **** Rehabilitation Improvement Program. They assured both of us that they would work out something with Wells Fargo to ultimately get my name off the mortgage. My name was taken off the deed years ago before my divorce was final. I was told that if my ex made all of his payments on time, my name would be off the mortgage by October 2021. That hasn't happened. When the final loan modification papers were to be signed, my name didn't appear on anything, nor was I informed ahead of time when these were going to be signed or what they said. Only my ex husband took part in that. For a short time after, the mortgage didn't show up on my TransUnion report, though it stayed on my Experian report. How did this happen, and why the discrepancy?I question the legality of not being included. If I didn't sign something, how is it still affecting my credit? I couldn't agree to something I wasn't there to sign. Now after years of sacrifices, my credit is decent, not great but over 700. I'd like a home of my own but I'm stuck with loud neighbors as a renter. My ex been in touch with Wells Fargo and they told him it would cost over $5,000 to get my name off a mortgage it was already supposed to be off of. Wells Fargo is a nightmare and their practices seem very questionable if not straight up predatory. I need my name removed so I can move forward. 9 years is a LONG TIME to be shackled to a house you can't live in.

I am rejecting this response because: something I signed 17 years ago under very different life circumstances is no longer valid. My ex husband and I BOTH WANT MY NAME OFF THIS and it was supposed to happen already. The financial abuse must end. I have moved on to the **** to hopefully change bank policies that encourage people to remain in abusive relationships. People deserve a chance to move on in the world. I'm not being allowed this.

      Sincerely,

I have requested the pm( mortgage insurance) charge be removed. I was told the mortgage has to be paid at least 20%. I have a notice from Wells Fargo from months ago 21% of my mortgage was paid. The notice sent was attempting to have me refinance. Yet, despite my requests Wells Fargo will not remove the mortgage insurance, and my house has risen in value substantially according to Zillow, Trulia etc. The customer service is atrocious. When I requested the first time they would not discuss my request. I was told to wait for a letter in the mail. It has been awful with this company. I also just received notice that escrow has a $3200.00 shortage. Wells Fargo increased my payments well over $400 each month which is well over $3200.00 annually. I am requesting they lower that to cover the alleged escrow shortage also. It seems this company likes to ***** its customers for as much money as they can.

I am rejecting this response because: I am attaching proof that Wells Fargo knows my home value is more than 20% paid off.

I have attached Wells Fargo letters that states according to Wells Fargo the loan to value. Wells Fargo know they should drop the *** (private mortgage insurance) instead of trying to make me jump through hoops to remove the ***. Also, Wells Fargo did not give me the option to pay the $3200  escrow shortage it was added in so Wells Fargo can can continue to charge more. The customer service at ********************************************* is far from stellar. I have found their customer service extremely disappointing as a customer.

Wells Fargo is my loan servicer for my home mortgage. I entered into forbearance during the covid19 pandemic in which my employment and income was grossly effected by the pandemic. I exhausted the forbearance in October and since then have been reviewed for "loan modification" despite my insistence that I did not want to go through with a loan modification and that I wished to pay the balance in full by taking a hardship withdrawal from my 401k. In the last 3 months, I have made over 6 phone calls and sent 6 emails to Wells Fargo Home Preservations and specifically my "Home Preservation Specialist" *************************** and not a single email or phone call has been responded to. My only direct communication with Wells Fargo was in November when I spoke with someone who called to ask about paperwork they were requesting for review of the loan modification application in which I explicitly explained my position and the need for a letter for my 401k servicer. I did receive a letter after several weeks, but it didn't contain anywhere close to the required information that I requested. I have since sent several more requests and have been ignored. I received a packet demanding action by January 6th to modify my loan which requires a notary and I will not be able to complete successfully due to being presumed covid positive and waiting test results to confirm. Wells Fargo is a greedy, corrupt company that is looking to make this process as difficult and confusing as possibly while deliberately ignoring my requests in order to attempt to foreclose on my property and thus profit off of the significant updates I've made to the home since I purchased it. Additionally, they have yet to waive a $44 late fee that I requested to be forgiven in November. Attached are 3 of the 6 emails I sent to Home Preservation and the "specialist" that were not responded to.

      Complaint: 16400141

I am rejecting this response because:

First and foremost, the response does not acknowledge that I received an extension on completing the loan modification nor does it acknowledge my request for an extension.

I contacted Wells Fargo Home Preservation on 12-31-21 and explained my concerns regarding the 01-06-22 deadline. Not only did I need time to obtain 401k funds to pay the loan balance in full, but Wells Fargo was not doing their part to assist me in obtaining the necessary information to submit the request. At the time I was also positive for covid19 and the 15 day deadline mandated by Wells Fargo included the dates of both major holidays. Between holiday closures and my covid19 diagnosis, finding a notary to endorse the documents was next to impossible.

I requested an extension through the end of February in my complaint and it was not acknowledged in the response. On 12-31-22, I called in and the representative I spoke with told me there was no issue with an extension and told me I could have 2 weeks from the 01-06-22 to complete the forms. When I asked if I could have until the end of January, the representative said it wouldn't be a problem. I need this acknowledged in the response. The phone call was recorded on my end for my records and I will take legal action if the extension that was promised is not honored. I am still requesting an extension until the end of February while I gather the funds to pay the balance in full. I will make regular monthly payments as part of the agreement towards an extension on the load modification deadline.

Lastly, the denial of the late fee is preposterous and absolutely *****. Which coming from Wells Fargo, I am not surprised. I've had two different customer services reps since November tell me that it would not be an issue, but the account would have to be brought current in order to waive the fee. I suffered hardship prior to the beginning of the pandemic as I was out of work suddenly and through no fault of my own during the consecutive months in which payments were made after the 15 day grace ******* I NEVER missed a monthly payment despite my hardship until the beginning of the pandemic in which returning to work was next to impossible. Due to the ridiculous experience I've been having with Wells Fargo and getting answers to my questions and simple requests addressed, I am again requesting the late fee be reconsidered and returned.

If Wells Fargo continues to be unreasonable and fully address my requests for an extension on the load modification process and the return of the late fee, I will be escalating my complaint to the ***************************** Bureau.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

Check #*** was provided for an appraisal of our property. The appraisal report was inaccurate as noted by the dispute filed on 10/25/2021 to Wells Fargo (attached pmi_eyring.pdf). The dispute was never processed by Wells Fargo because the claim was cancelled by Wells Fargo. The bank argues that the claim was cancelled due to the fact that the *** had been since removed from the account. The purpose of ordering an appraisal was two-fold. One, to gain an accurate valuation of our property and two, to remove *** from our mortgage. We have not received a true and accurate appraisal report of our home thus the service rendered by the payment of $325.00 on check #*** is incomplete. The report provided contains numerous errors and discrepancies. When trying to contact the appraisal company, I am referred to Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo is unable to provide solution to the problem. I contacted Navy Federal and they are unable to help due to this being a check payment (treated as a cash payment). Wells Fargo replied with the attached (Wells Fargo.pdf) letter on 11/17/2021 stating that they are unable to refund the payment.

A family member, who had their home mortgage with Wells Fargo, passed away in February. I was given the house after it was left in his will by my mother. I have been attempting to get this account up to date and in my name since then. I have made payments until they wouldn't give me any other information for 3 months and then the last 4 months have been paid. They are running an application to see if my husband and my credit is good enough for their little loan amount for the house. They CONTINUOUSLY are giving us the run around, they lose paperwork and don't mention anything for over a month. They are asking why we haven't spent money to bring the account current, they are asking what loans are for. None of that is their business. We are trying to get this account current so we can move the account to another credit union. It has been nearly a year since this has started.
