this vehicle was brought into our shop with a bad transmission. he had told us that it had been sitting for a long period of time due to saving money for repairs, we test drove the vehicle and verified that the trans had internal failure and would need to be rebuilt. but also informed him of severe vibration driving it and engine missing. we did have to jump start it also. when we were removing the unit, we found 3 out of the 4 u-joints bad, plus the extension housing and mount were broke. he authorized the extra repair and we discussed that hopefully that was the vibration we felt driving it, but would not take care of misfire. when we finished installing the rebuilt unit, most of the vibration was gone, and it ran pretty good. 4wd worked and was given back to customer. 

he returned it with complaints that we must have removed a spark plug wire and that was the miss...and the trans was shifting rough. we informed him that we were not even close to the plug wire and did not remove it. plus several test drives later the transmission was still working great , but did notice on an extremely hard throttle felt a vibration, and diagnosed that the right motor mount was weak. we did not notice that before but had never test drove it with a full throttle drive. informed him of what we found and he blamed us for the mount too. explained to him that we did not hurt it, that the age and mileage of the vehicle it was normal, plus possible being driven hard. and again verifying that 4wd works. he agreed and accused of fixing it but not telling him.
