The leather used on their furniture is not dyed, the color is painted on and is only warrantied for one year. Once the warranty is over, the color begins to rub off. I will never buy Flexsteel products again.Review from Phil S

I have 2 Flexsteel barrel swivel chairs. They were purchased about 9 years ago. One of the metal bases is broken and the chair leans to one side. The chair bases have a lifetime warranty. I contacted Flexsteels Iowa headquarters and was directed to the store where I purchased the furniture. I contacted the store and they directed me back to a Flexsteel employee who could examine my problem. This employee told me a replacement base is not available and she could not help me. 3 months later a flexsteel customer service representative emailed inquiring on my claim, I replied to her email explaining the situation outlined above. Its been several months now and she never responded. Great company right?I just purchased replacement bases on **** with my own funds. Will never purchase another Flexsteel product again.Flexsteel Industries Inc Response

Hello,
I do apologize that you have not gotten a response back from the **************************** I am not sure whom you were speaking with. Each one of our emails is tied to a case number. If the case was closed or pending the customer service *** may not have gotten your response. It is possible that the factory that made the base you needed was no longer able to supply us with the part, that may be why you received a response stating that the part was not available. Sometimes even when we are not able to get parts it is possible to find them online.
Thank you,

I have a sectional couch that I purchased 2 years ago that includes a 5 year mechanical and electrical warranty. I have the original receipt. One of our recliners has stopped reclining (electric). The company's service directed me to ServiceCo for the warranty which they've indicated the warranty is expired. This was by a single photo of the couch and receipt. Incredibly poor customer service. As noted with many other reviews, they don't appear to back their own warranties. I will never purchase another Flexsteel product.Flexsteel Industries Inc Response

Hello,
If the customer has contacted ServeCo and they have been told the warranty has expired, ServeCo is talking about the warranty for labor/service. I would advise the customer call ServeCo. I am not sure what part is needed, but if it is a motor, switch, or power source they are covered for 5 years. the parts would be at no charge, but any labor or service charges, per our warranty, (after one year of ownership) would be the customers responsibility.
Thank you,

Flexsteele refuses to reimburse us for a service charge we incurred because they sent 2 incorrect parts to us for a furniture repair. They said their company is incapable of sending us a check or any forms of reimbursement even though it was their error we incurred the fee. Do not buy anything from them, their customer service is miserableFlexsteel Industries Inc Response

Hello,
We do apologize that the wrong parts were sent. This customer's retail store was closed. He reached out to a different retail store for help. The services charges were charged by that store. We do not have control over what the store charges for a service call. The customer will have to speak with the store since they are the ones who charged him for service. We are not able to send any type of reimbursement/payment for the service fee charged to this customer as we do not pay customers directly.

They wont stand behind their warranty. I have a less than 4 year old swivel rocker that the metal circular broke in pieces. Their warranty states that metal bases are under a 5 year warranty. Yet they deny the claim sent in by the dealer on my behalf. I will never buy another item from Flexsteel. Hope they go out of business.Flexsteel Industries Inc Response

Hello,
I have reached out to the store. They have told me that have this taken care of and have ordered a new base for the customer. I have not yet seen the order, as long as the part is available, it will be placed on order and shipped to the store.

In December 2019, my wife and I purchased two sofas from A.K Nahas in Industry, PA. Flexsteel; model 1849 64 PA Apollo Power Rec Loveseat. The couches were delivered in January 2020. One reason we purchased Flexsteel is because my brother had a Flexsteel couch for years and after all the years the leather faded a bit, but the bones of the couch were still great. Unfortunately, for our coaches I cannot say the same. Within the year the leather started to fade all over both couches. Couch A, which is and was rarely used, looks like we have used it full time for years. Couch B became so faded the leather looks like a different color and the recliner stopped working properly; it does not go down all the way and it makes a noise. If you sit on couch B you can feel the hardware under you. This all happened within the first year. We called AK Nahas and they sent someone out. They agreed to fix both couch A and B because it was covered under warranty. The onsite tech from AK Nahas advised us the couches purchased during COVID have caused the most complaints. I am writing to you because I am tired of calling and waiting to get these couches fixed. They have only gotten worse. The tech has records of us calling. He has told me he is waiting for the leather to come in and then he would come out and fix everything. Four + years later and multiple calls into AK Nahas the couch is still not fixed, and it is only worse. I am tired of calling and I am tired of waiting. I am sick that I spent 4500.00 on two premium couches that lasted a year. The last time I called AK Nahas, the leather for our couch was still on backorder – over 4 years really? To resolve my problem, I would like the company to replace my couches for free. I do NOT think I should have to be penalized for this since I called as soon as the leather and mechanical issues started.Flexsteel Industries Inc Response

Hello,
We will reach out to the store to see what is going on. I would suggest calling the store again as we do have to work though the store to get any issues with your furniture taken care of.

We experienced a terrible and unacceptable response from a dealer rep at Flexsteel to a very discouraging and surprising issue with our leather reclining chair and sectional couch in which the leather has pulled/teared from the frame at the top of the seats (in four locations). The furniture has been barely used in two (2) of the problem areas. We stressed that this is a manufacturer's defect (i.e. very tight substrate to leather/vinyl corner components), and Flexsteel flat out ignored our questioning. After dealing with our retailer, they received the typical and expected response from the Flexsteel rep of "Your customer's furniture had a one-year warranty and here is a breakdown of material costs". Well, we understand the 1 year coverage, but after 3 1/2 years from purchase, this absolutely should not have happened. A reputable company would have better responded to our concerns and offer ways to rectify the matter. Knowing the customer service industry for over 40 years, this has been a display of poor customer relationship, passing the buck, and not trying to set the tone for repeat business. Isn't it interesting how 90% of the responses by Flexsteel informs the customer to discuss matters with the retailer or call ServeCo for repair services. This is called "not taking responsibility for your actions" and not sharing in the problem. It is also very unfortunate that no one responded to our comments on their website. We had to call them, but that went sideways too, as the rep stated that "Your case has been closed". What a joke!!!!!We don't see Flexsteel's business skyrocketing anytime soon!!!Flexsteel Industries Inc Response

Hello,I do apologize for the issues with your furniture. Unfortunately, there is a one year warranty on the fabric/leather. Since this piece is 3 1/2 years old the warranty has expired. We can help get the parts needed ordered and delivered to your store, but the parts would be at cost as well as any labor/service fees. If this were a manufacturing issue it would have been noticeable within the first 6 months.Review from Michele H

Most disappointing furniture we have ever purchased! Within 5 days after delivery and spending over $7,000.00 the fabric was already wrinkled. I notified Interiors Home where we made the purchase and was sent a video on how to rearrange the cushions, did not work!As time goes on the foam in the cushions keeps getting flatter and the material more wrinkled. We were told there was a lifetime warranty on the foam. Apparently not! There is only 2 adults using this furniture and no children. We have sent a letter and pictures to Flexsteel Corporate and Interiors Home with no response. We wish we would have kept our 25 year old furniture!Flexsteel Industries Inc Response

Hello, please let the customer know that if she is seeing one inch depression on the cushions, she should be able to get replacement cushions depending on the style. If the piece is over 1 year old any service/labor fees would be the customers responsibility. Since the purchase was between her and the store, the store would have to order the cushions. As for the wrinkles, if this is motion furniture there will be some wrinkling. If her store is unable to assist her, she can contact ServeCo at ************. They are a nationwide furniture repair shop and should be able to assist.Review from Jim D

I had high hopes for my very expensive Flexsteel recliner that I purchased. Those high hopes didn't last long. Just like everyone else the dye started to lift from the leather within 9 months. They admitted it was a problem and replaced the section of leather under warranty after I had to wait 7 months (yes, 7 months) for the replacement part. Four months later the dye started to lift from the other side of the chair, and since the chair was a few months out of warranty Flexsteel refuses to do the right thing and stand behind their product. Funny how they admit it's a problem but then when the chair is just out of warranty they claim it's not a problem. Do yourself a favor and don't buy anything from Flexsteel. You won't be happy. I for one will never buy anything from them again, and I'm doing my part to let everyone else know that Flexsteel is junk.Flexsteel Industries Inc Response
