Had an electric sofa recliner and Guardsman warranty. After about 1 year motor went out. Reported to Guardsman waited 3 months for their review. Now goes back to homemaker to order the part. part ordered in Jan, received in June but is mechanism and not motor. Motor now ordered but who knows when will be received. Now has been over one year waiting to get fixed and anticipate will take another. Absolutely unbelievable and ** getting irritated that nothing is happeningHomemakers Furniture Response

It does appear the first order from Guardsman was submitted as a complete mechanism and then for a motor. Love the store, love the prices, love the furniture. My issue was our "helper" with our order. 1. Seemed confused at time of adding furniture to our order. 2. Clearly told him we wanted **** loveseat, ordered COCOA!! 3. Set us up for DELIVERY, told us it'd be here following THURSDAY. We called when not receiving prior day delivery call. Found out. 1. Our order had to be rewritten.... surprise, surprise. 2. When it was rewritten, it was set up for pickup vs delivery. Ugh!! 3. They don't even delivery in our area on Thursdays!! Surprise, Surprise.Although as we left store we had a bad feeling based on our "helper". But, when we called today the lady that helped us we SO VERY HELPFUL in getting order corrected abd set up for delivery, that we will still shop here and love the store, but will be sure to get a "helper" that we're comfortable with. I wish I had the helpful lady's name, to recognize her. I do have the "helpers" name if the store manager would be interested!!!!Homemakers Furniture Response

Their third-party delivery service damaged the top left of the dresser, so broken wood is protruding and the top left drawer doesn't open properly. When I contacted customer service via the chat module, they instructed me to email them photos and proof that it was damaged during delivery. I sent them a photo from the day of delivery that showed the giant hole in the box exactly where the dresser was damaged, plus a dozen more of the box and the furniture from every angle. It's been 15 days and they've yet to reply with a solution. And I followed up a week ago, and still nothing.Homemakers Furniture Response

Delivered wrong furniture, including custom chair. Never refunded the delivery charge. Brought me the right couch but had to wait for the right chair to be made. Never gave me the discount they offered. Now the new chair, an expensive recliner, doesnt work properly a month later. Ive called multiple times and nothing has been resolved. I purchased a sectional in May 2022 and shortly after the one year both end recliners the wood frame had broke on both of them. I called Homemakers and they said I needed to contact Guardsman for the protection warranty for my leather sectional- ( I told them I didn't have a leather sectional that it was cloth- ( And the sales lady that said Guardsman protection plan would cover everything on the sectional ) and they said that is what Homemakers put it under ) I sent a claim over in July 2023, but it never went through, So I called Guardsman again and talked to ******* 8/14/23 and he said to fill out a form again and change the dates on the claims. I did that and never heard anything, so filled the forms out again online on 9/26/23 and never heard back AGAIN! Called 2/13/24 and talked to someone and they said the claims were denied due to the date they were filed. I can't believe the furniture was made so poorly for $3000 and only lasted 1 year for a single family home. I have had the worst experience with Homemakers and Guardsman Warranty and would not recommend anyone there based on my experience. I personally will never use them again as they don't work with the customer after the sale or stand up with what they sell!!!Homemakers Furniture Response

Very ************* reclining sofa. My only complaints were delays in shipping. Probably more issues with the delivery company than the actual furniture company. Had to argue several times with the shipping company and then the furniture company finally jumped in to handle it when it was a month overdue on the shipping. Sofa is super comfy. Thank you. To start off, the website photos are fairly bad & not clear enough to distinguish differences in ************************* of furniture variants (ex. ****** Furniture ****** vs Flynnter sleigh beds). The online photos are not anywhere near as good as on other online merchants, so customers have a hard time distinguishing the difference. Thus, what you end up getting is the wrong variant as the delivered item looks vastly different from the online photo.Additionally, this merchant charges an ********* for ************** that's not even to the room inside residence, then takes forever to respond to issues when needing a ******************** for correct item, charges a high restock fee & doesn't refund customer back for original taxes that customer paid. Needless to say, the moving transportation provider that ordered the item with them for me will never work with this merchant ever again. You are way better off getting an ****** furniture item from another merchant or directly from Ashley ********************* where you can easily distinguish the correct item, for $99 you get delivery & assembly in room, and it's hassle free with added bonus of great customer service.Homemakers Furniture Response

Been waiting 3 months for a credit on an item we did not keep on delivery. **************** either doesnt answer nor do they return messages nor emails. When they do actually answer I get told that they see the credit on my account pending and will get Accounting to process it immediately and call me back. No one ever calls back and I am still waiting! Absolutely worst customer service and accounting service.Homemakers Furniture Response

Were truly apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We recently went through a computer conversion and the ability to process refunds has been a huge hit to our company. We are working diligently to expedite refunds as quickly as we are able to. This isnt anything weve ever had to navigate before and were truly apologize. I purchased an item and before picking it up a couple days later, I decided to cancel and get refunded. No problem to do. However, I have not been refunded yet and its been almost 3 weeks now. Keep getting told refunds are taking about 15 business days. I just dont understand with todays technology how they can instantly take the money out of your account at time of purchase, but take weeks to refund you the money back.
