    Pattern of Complaint:

On April 9, 2021, Better Business Bureau was alerted to a change of address business operating Postal Address Change, Change Postal Address, and United Address Change, https://www.unitedaddressform.org/.  Consumers seeking change of address services from the U.S. Postal Service  report conducting an online search for the United States Postal Service website only to be directed to the website for Postal Address Change. Consumers report the website is similar to the U.S. Postal Service website and they are unknowingly charged $79.95 for a service the U.S. Postal Service provides for $1.05.  Consumers allege the business is unresponsive to requests for assistance regarding refunds and cancellations. Postal Address Change advertises an address in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho 83814.

The Idaho Secretary of State reports Postal Address Change, Change Postal Address, and United Address Change are not licensed businesses in Idaho.

On May 7, 2021, BBB reached out to Postal Address Change regarding the consumer complaints, but to date has not received a response; mail sent to the business address was returned by the U.S. Postal Service as undeliverable.

Consumers wishing to utilize services provided by the United States Postal Service can find their website at https://www.usps.com/.

Better Business Bureau warns consumers when shopping online, verify business information by researching the address, licensing information, telephone number, and to read Terms and Conditions. Postal Address Change has a disclaimer in Terms and Conditions stating they are not affiliated with any government agency.

Complaints can be filed with Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org as well as with the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Protection at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/.

I needed to file a Change of Address with the United States Postal Service. The website says official sight and is extremely misleading. I knew there was a fee involved with the online process so didn't think anything of it and then immediately realized I had been misled as soon as I hit send and received the next screen and the follow-up text trying to sell more services. I was immediately charged $99.60. I am requesting an immediate refund and this sight needs to be taken down immediately for being misleading and an imposter of a Federal entity!

My sister passed away on 8/13/21 in Maine. I live in NY and was trying to handle her estate matters. I called Urgent Address Change and they advised me they would immediately process a change of address for a fee of $59. Since I wanted this done quickly I bypassed the normal USPO change of address. On August 25th I got an email from this company UrgerntAddressChange saying they processed the request. I checked several times with the USPO and no change of address was ever done by this company. My sister's name for the address change was ******** ********. I have contacted this company several times as late as today and they either hang up, put you on permanent hold or outright lier about their guarantee of a 60 day refund policy. I would appreciate any help you can give. ***** ********

I thought I was changing my sons address for him through the post office. At no time did it say they were going to charge my card $89.95 for an address change. I would like my card refunded and I have emailed them several times and my emails come back non deliverable, which makes me feel that this is a fraudulent company.

I was attempting to file a change of address through USPS, however what I got instead was a business operating unethically and in a blatant attempt to mimic USPS's website. Only at the end of filling out all of your personal address information do you see that the charge is not the mere $1.00 and some odd change as is typical of a USPS change of address, but a whopping $80.00 something dollars. Fortunately, my bank must have gotten similar complaints and they denied the transaction, otherwise I wouldn't have realized. Sites that intentionally set out to trick consumers (as is apparent by the fact that their extortionary costs are in fine print only at the very end, and in the fact that the site closely mimics a legitimate site, USPS), should be taken down or at the very least, be made to warn consumers they are not using a legitimate mail carrier's service. There is no question in my mind this "business" set out to deceive and take advantage of consumers.

I was just trying to fill out a changeofaddress form online and I stumbled upon the website Unitedmailingchange.org. Now this was one of the first links that showed up on my search bar so I didn't even bat an eye about the thought of being scammed. The website looks legit and it uses relative colors to the usps website. When I filled out my information it said nothing about charging a $89.95 fee. Its usually just $1-$2. I tried contacting the number that they gave me but no answer.

I thought I was changing my address with the USPS, but gave ny information to this site and was charged $59.90. I want to get a refund but have not heard back via email or phone. The number my bank gave me for the transactions claims not to have a record of the transaction.
