    Pattern of Complaint:

On April 9, 2021, Better Business Bureau was alerted to a change of address business operating Postal Address Change, Change Postal Address, and United Address Change, https://www.unitedaddressform.org/.  Consumers seeking change of address services from the U.S. Postal Service  report conducting an online search for the United States Postal Service website only to be directed to the website for Postal Address Change. Consumers report the website is similar to the U.S. Postal Service website and they are unknowingly charged $79.95 for a service the U.S. Postal Service provides for $1.05.  Consumers allege the business is unresponsive to requests for assistance regarding refunds and cancellations. Postal Address Change advertises an address in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho 83814.

The Idaho Secretary of State reports Postal Address Change, Change Postal Address, and United Address Change are not licensed businesses in Idaho.

On May 7, 2021, BBB reached out to Postal Address Change regarding the consumer complaints, but to date has not received a response; mail sent to the business address was returned by the U.S. Postal Service as undeliverable.

Consumers wishing to utilize services provided by the United States Postal Service can find their website at https://www.usps.com/.

Better Business Bureau warns consumers when shopping online, verify business information by researching the address, licensing information, telephone number, and to read Terms and Conditions. Postal Address Change has a disclaimer in Terms and Conditions stating they are not affiliated with any government agency.

Complaints can be filed with Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org as well as with the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Protection at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/.

Seeing this has been reported many times. Yet it’s obviously still happening. I went to the internet to change my address. It asked for a credit card which was given because it states a charge of $1.05 to do so. Instead I get charged $179.00. When I tried to dispute Mastercard will not refund. This is happening to many… exact same amount each time

I changed my address through USPS website and was charged $179.95 on 10/19/2023. The transaction appeared on my statement as merchant: UPDATE OF USMAIL 8882783914 NV I would like a full refund I was aware of the $1.05 charge but not $179.95.

I’m moving and needed to change my address. A website popped up affiliated with usps.com. I went back to my maiden name after my divorce and had to change my address for both last names. I got charged 179.95 twice. This is insane. I have to wait til it clears my bank before I can dispute it. This is why I hate doing things online.

I needed to submit a change of address so I Googled what I thought was the USPS official website. I was charged $179.95. I contacted my bank and I have to wait until it post to my account and then I have to dispute the charges. It has over drawn my account. I have tried to contact this fraudulent website but no contact information whatsoever. This website and/or company needs to be stopped and all persons involved should be immediately refunded the money they scammed

On 9/30/23, I googled USPS Change of Address and clicked on what I thought was a legitimate USPS site. I filled out the required info but was puzzled as to why I was required to enter credit crd info. As I completed the form, there was a box regarding something about ADT promotional info, which I checked, Upon doing so, I was immediately charged $179.95. I've contacted numerous numbers at ADT, to no avail. i have no confirmation number. or account and no way of getting into contact with changeofmymail.
