1 starThe *** ********************** and their management company, ***, have completely dropped the ball. Emails? Ignored. Follow-ups? & Ongoing concerns? Completely disregarded. Instead of addressing homeowner concerns like responsible adults, they decide to escalate things to their legal team. And when I pointed out their blunders, they had the audacity to tell me I misunderstood the community guidelines. Classic movepass the blame instead of doing your job.But it doesnt stop there. I also asked a simple question: Do the **** rules override city, county, and state laws? Guess what? They avoided answering. Why? Because they know those rules dont have that kind of power. And this is the problemtheyd rather leave homeowners in the dark than provide transparency. Its a mess, and they know ***** heres the deal: if youre thinking about moving into this community, do your homework. Talk to homeowners, review those documents, and ask yourself: Is this the kind of leadership you want running the place? Because if you want answers, be ready to face a brick wall. They dont prioritize homeownersthey prioritize making their own lives easier. And that, my friend, is not how you run a community. They care more about how your trash bin is placed than actually building amenities that homeowners can actually use and enjoy. Its almost like theyre more invested in micromanaging the small stuff than creating a community where people can actually live and thrive. Meanwhile, real improvements that benefit everyone seem to be nowhere on their radar.Review fromJeff M

5 starsCBH homes just does things great. I thought I had a crack in my shower room and call the warranty company and CBH homes was out and checking the shower tub from another contractor and it was a razor blade cut and was able to sand it down and clean it up and make it like new! After the event I looked into the detail of the warranty and I thing showers and tubs are not apart of it. So I am 100% happy with the home. I bought my home in June 2024 and I am very happy with it. Thank you!Review fromPrasad K

1 starI am new home owner and I bought my first home with CBD at ********, ******************** last year September. Immediately after I moved in, winter kicked in and I started hearing loud ticking noise in my master bedroom continuously overnight even when the heater is tuned on and after too. CBH construction and IKON Air team has visited a few time and tried different things, but the noise issue is not resolved completely.CBH response is "The builder has informed us that the noises in your home are very minor now, after the previous attempts were made to repair this. The builder has exhausted all efforts to eliminate the noise, and there is no further action to be taken"I am not getting any response from them on this issue.I have already told them that I am a light sleeper and not able to sleep during the night because of this continuous ticking sound. Also I don't think it is normal for any home. This review is for all the wasted efforts for 8 month I put in and for all the sleepless night I had and I am still gonna have. Hopefully nobody goes though this. Please check everything before you move in.Review fromChase B

1 starI was a tenant with CBH at the ******************** in ***** off of *********** and ************. I lived there for 9 months with my fiancee. When we first moved in, the upstairs carpet reeked of cat urine. We complained about this to our move-in manager, who promised this would be added to our move-in checklist that they keep on file, in order to protect us when we moved out. Low and behold, 9 months later we move out and receive an email from the company that we owe them an additional $250 after keeping 100% of our $2,000 deposit. This was due to them charging us over $1700 for the entire upstairs to be recarpeted due to it being soaked with cat urine. We don't even have a cat. We had a dog for the last few months of our occupancy, and the dog was always downstairs, or in her kennel. Never allowed to roam on the carpets. When I reached out to complain, they had lost my move-in sheet, and said they couldn't help me, and that I would need to pay my balance in full, or they would submit it to collections. This company is a joke, they are actual thieves. I am not surprised to see their BBB rating is so low. It turns out they treat their homeowners exactly how they treat their tenants. This company has no integrity, and if it weren't for such a trivial amount of money, I would be pursuing them in small claims court. Do not ever rent, or purchase a home from this company. Stay far far away!Review fromCathy h

We purchased the house three years ago. During the last three years, we experienced the worst builder for the house. First, our house is a 3 car garage, CBH homes just filled two concretes for the sidewalk, left 1 empty. So we have to pay for extra to fill the concrete for the sidewalk, otherwise there is no way to drive the car directly to the third car garage. Second, their dishwasher had odd plastic smell after washing the dishes. We spent another money to replace a new dishwasher by ourselves. Third, our floor had cracking sound, after I told them several times, they hired their people to repair it. Fourth, the garage door had problem, their contractor action garage door didn't fix it. The problem was still there. Four things happened for 1 year warranty. Fifth, after 15 months we purchased the house, our oven glass shattered without any signs. We hardly used the oven, less 3 times. They refused to replace it. So, we had to buy a new one by ourselves. Sixth, our kid's window was installed improperly and left a huge gap, and we had to pay for extra bill for the winter. They fixed but refused to pay for the extra utility bill. Seventh, after 5 months of the warranty, the garage door still had same problem, their contract checked and said nothing wrong. Then finally,1year later, my garage door crashed to the ground. We had to hire a professional garage door to replace it. We noticed the CBH homes and they refused to pay for any loss. So I sued them to the court. The judge said, it was out of one year warranty and denied my claim. This is the worst builder we have met. Please be away from CBH homes, away from their super contract. By the way, we had so many experience in moving and living in different houses in the past. From the house over 40 years to the new houses, we haven't met such poor quality house like CBH homes. Shame on you, shame on your business. If there is 0 score, I would rate that.CBH Homes

CBH has carefully reviewed and responded to this homeowner's concerns since the time of the initial report. Our team acted quickly and dispatched members dedicated to making any warrantable repairs within the Builder warranty period. Homeownership involves ongoing maintenance; out of warranty repairs and normal wear and tear is expected over time. The request for reimbursement for utility usage, and the garage maintenance that was inspected and deemed in working order by the contractor, are not warrantable per the terms of our builder warranty. CBH Homes covers warrantable defects within the first year and, after that, repairs and maintenance are the homeowner's responsibility. In 2023 CBH Homes was awarded the Platinum Builder Award from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. Our team strives to provide the best experience and valuable maintenance tips to all of our homeowners. 2 starsMy home is fine minus a few things that the builder refused to fix after inspection. They did fix a chip in the concrete by putting a glob on it. Now it sticks out and is a tripping hazard, thanks CBH. Beware of their negotiating team, they like to hide stuff in addendums and hand write things in. They will do anything to get in contract quickly. They either have a sales model of lying or they have deep rooted communication issues within. I was told a bunch of different stories during the closing process on when stuff would be installed or finished. My home was not move-in ready after close. Like everyone else here has said, they pass the blame and will even tell you that you were the problem. Instead of admitting that they had a bad practice or idea they will gaslight you and then offer you a preferred contractor with scheduling preference. I called a few subcontractors in the area for quotes on multiple things and they all have told me that they deal with this all the time with CBH. Maybe CBH needs to do an internal audit on employee conduct before word gets out.Review fromAJ C

1 starNo accountability. Good luck trying to get anything fixed after you move in. They make big promises during the walk through - "just call and we will send someone out" - what a joke! If you call, they RUDELY direct you to their website to submit a claim, and then they do nothing. I sent the pictures requested, and no response. I had to send a demanding request to get someone out to look at our broken sprinkler system before the irrigation got shut off and they couldn't do a proper inspection. Pretty sure they are just waiting out the 1yr warranty, so we will have to live with the huge flooring gaps, cracks our cabinets from the installation (that they say is not covered under the warranty), and a dirt hill that was supposed to by hydroseeded but it never took and now I have no landscaping on it. These are just a few of the things we presented, but they will not fix. So glad I paid over half a million dollars for this! I learned my ****** in buying a CBH home!Review fromJamie J

After you buy a home and have more homes built in the subdivision they will not respond to issues with new homes being built. Not the homes them selves but the cleanliness of their subs and major safety issues. Emails with pictures and many phone calls and they still will not meet me in person to hear my concerns. All I get is we will pass this along to the right team. Nails in the road and many days I come home and cant even get to my house because of their subcontractors ie concrete pumps, concrete trucks or trucks and trailers littering the road. I have yet to see a cbh construction manager or superintendent on site to see what is happening on THEIR sites. Its a joke and wont do it again.CBH Homes

We're sorry to hear you have not received a response to your concerns of the trades still building within your community. The construction manager does receive those concerns and typically checks each community's jobs daily. We'd be happy to follow up on that, please reach out to us at ***************************** to let us know what community are you in.
Thank you! - Team CBH

Absolute garbage builder. **** died in the first month after purchase and refused to replace it.Jacked up the price by 70k 3 days before I put in an offer. No gutters on 90% of the roofline, no backyard landscaping, no garage door opener, and some of the worst customer service l've ever experienced. And now they're selling the same model for 345k. 55k less than what I bought it for. Go to any CBH neighborhood and ask the homeowners how they feel about the house they bought and you'll hear the same thing. This home builder is only mildly better than being homeless. The entire street in my neighborhood had our crawl spaces flood and every single one had to fight to get it fixed. Sent out their field experts (who acted like they were geologists, hydrologists, structural engineers and landscaping experts) and tried to blame me for the issue. Took my neighbor to court and beat him in court over this issue after they(my neighbor) ran out of money s******* their new family over leaving them with a 25k cleanup bill for the crawl space and over 10k in legal costs. I cannot stress this enough, if you need a home, just stay in an apartment a month or two longer, CBH is the absolute worst home builder around and I MASSIVELY REGRET buying their house. I DO NOT RECOMMENDCBH Homes

*********,
We're sorry to hear you are unhappy with your CBH home and service. Gutters are included over concrete entries only as standard in the majority of our communities, and we show the options of garage openers and rear landscaping was not part of your contract and that you were installing your own after closing. We had our warranty team pull your claims history and show we did respond and sent a rep to assess your home/yard and found plants and drip lines installed directly against your foundation as well as significant overwatering. We also conveyed our recommendations to you afterwards via email, and although not warrantable, we show the team offered to assist you in drying the excess water to help you get back on track, because we truly value and appreciate our homeowners. Again, we're sorry to hear you are dissatisfied.- Team CBH

One Star is too nice but zero stars is not an option.BE VERY CAREFUL when deciding whether to buy a home from CBH. I currently reside in their Silver Trail subdivision in Kuna. Subdivisions not sold out completely are *** managed by a board of Corey Barton and his employees, not homeowners. Homeowners get no vote or say in anything related to the **** -2yrs ago the *** mgmt company doubled our *** fees without any advanced discussions.-For years, CBH has not been following their own *** rules by skipping all annual meetings and avoiding any response to homeowner questions.-After ghosting residents asking by the fees doubled yet we have no major amenities (no pool, playground, etc) we began asking/commenting on social media.-Within days of social media push, they changed *** mgmt companies and lowered the dues a small amount, blaming the mgmt company and not themselves.-This year our fees remained the same but the expenses on the budget was cut in half, thus leaving a massive surplus of cash that has no purpose.-Residents asked for a fractional refund of these clear overpayments, CBH is back to ghosting us.-There is absolutely no effort made by the contracted landscaper to keep anything nice, even though we are overpaying for it.-See current landscape images found like ***** Creek St which will be your main road of travel to go see the new homes CBH is trying to sell you.All photos were taken Tues 5/30/23. In summary, you have A LOT of choices of builders to buy from. You cannot even ask real questions because CBH will tell you what you want to hear and ghost you as soon as you have signed on the dotted line. We asked for change and provided months to respond and nothing. The only way they appear to make any effort to work with homeowners is when we share the truth to a wider audience of potential buyers. Hi ****** - We're sorry for the late response, we thought it had already been posted. We know you have talked with our customer care team several times throughout the process and that the *** property management team did also correspond with you directly via email regarding your concerns. We do want you to be happy in your new CBH home and we wish the very best. Love wins, - Team CBH
