    Responding to ID ********

Previous customer (****** ****) ordered a customer specific truck on 2/04/22. We require a non-refundable security deposit at the date of order placement.  The deposit varies depending on the specifics of the order. These units are very hard to get. Customer stated on order that he had a very good job and would be easily approved for financing when he ordered the truck. The truck arrived on 7/8/22, and we began the finance approval process. Customer falsely stated income on the credit application. The finance approval was conditioned upon an additional down payment and proof of the stated income. Customer brought a portion of the required additional down payment to secure the truck but failed to provide proof of income. We held the truck until he could come up with the additional down required and proof of income. He then stated he needed the down payment money to be able to get back to work to complete the deal. After we sent him the money, he did not go back to work and demanded a full refund. Customer repeatedly stated income and employment status that provided to be false. He personally told us to hold the truck and he stated he would go back to work to meet the requirements of the bank. We held the truck for an additional 45 days and reached back out to the customer to verify income and try to finish the deal and found out he had not gone back to work. He then went to his own bank for financing after we had several banks and credit unions decline him based on false information. We held the truck another 15 days as he tried to secure financing. When he failed, he suddenly hurt his ankle and couldn't go back to work, so we stared the refund process. He was unable to meet during our regular business hours. We sent him two separate refunds through Venmo because they have a transaction limit on the amount per day. He threated legal action and we cut off all communication. Our 101-year-old policy is to stop communication once legal action is threatened. We can provide all supporting documents. We are still not whole. Ford punishes its dealers if a truck is ordered in one name and given preferential scheduling and then sold to another. We stand by our decision.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that his story is made up of lies! ! I could go into detail on the truth and disproving what he said on just about everything, but I'm just here to get the money back that he owes me, I didn't want this to be a big thing, I just simply want what is mine. However let's focus on the main point of him keeping the money, and the false reasoning he states!

He claims the refund is non-refundable which was never mentioned until now, from the start i told him to keep the $1000 deposit because i felt terrible about my injury and not being able to purchase the truck, which then he replied with something along the lines of i don't need to keep some kids money to run a successful business. I have bank statement receipts of all transactions if you guys need them but the deposit was $1000, which I also have conversations with one of his employees where he stated that as well. All together with the deposit I put down a total of $7500 which I was only refunded $5,500, and if he keeps the deposit which I told him from the start he could out of good faith for future business after feeling terrible about the whole situation. I was never made aware the deposit was non- refundable verbally or by any other way, he still owes me $1000 dollars. If you guys need,I have bank statements and conversations to prove my story unlike the opposing side. Not to mention this took months to get my refund back after he ghosted me, told me not to come into the store and a series of other shady things. With everything that has happened i will not do business with this terrible establishment again, and if possible i would like to get the $1000 deposit because that was out of good faith and hoping to do future again, which won't be happening! Also with the ankle injury I can prove pictures and hospital records if needed.

Whatever proof you guys need just ask and I will send it over! Thank you guys for your help this far.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ****
