Had diagnostic done, was quoted 5,000,&some.The diagnostic was;the turbos needed rebuilt, cooling fan clutch fault,cylinder1&6, map sensor, power steering pump would need to be replaced.I authorized those to be worked on 10-13-22@2:34PM.I went in on 11-01-22 checking that the turbos were what needed to be worked on, in which he said it would be done on Wed/Thurs the latest.I put down $2,000, after this, is when the price started to rise. In a video **** sent,it is visible that he only points to the turbos& bolts that were missing.I called on Thur to see the truck was ready. He said it was getting put back together,I kept an eye on the ONLINE invoice.I noticed that it kept changing. It went from$6,600-$9,538.31-$9,547.82-$9,914.12-$9,757.01-$9,981.82-$9,274.16.All but the last total happened in ONE day.In which this ALL happened11-04-22.So within 3 days, stuff started to get added on,WITHOUT authorization from myself.Again, only reason I knew this was because I checked nearly every 1/2 hour-1 to see what the price was.My wife called to ask why the price increased so many times, and **** told her that I authorized all of this OVER the phone,WITHOUT a signature.(Calls have been recorded). He THEN stated at the end of the day, that Iauthorizedthis when I went to the shop,&heshowedme everything that was wrong.Which he did not.He only showed the turbos. After the 1st,he then saw aleakon exhaust manifold,a leak in EGR hose,Up pipes to turboleak,a bunch of tube ASSY sensors that were added, which were also. NOT authorized, removed&replace trans oil cooler coverseal, fuel injector installation kit& an exhaust manifold. On the paper it says I authorized this on 11-03-22@10:33AM(gas manifold).10-28-22@11:19AM(trans oil cooler).10-27-22@5:44PM(turbo rebuilds).**** did not even call ME once while my truck has been there.EXCEPT after speaking to my upset wife.I intend to get call list printed.**** left to pay should be only $4,151.78. He also put false mileage count on my invoice.

On 5/24/2022 I took my 2010 ****** Prius in because of a check engine light and a knocking noise at start up. After diagnostic inspection we were told the engine had a #2 cylinder misfire. Recommended replacement of spark plugs and coil boots which we approved. Total cost $472.17 On 8/02/2022 we took the ****** Prius back in because of same #2 cylinder misfire and start up noise issue. After diagnostic inspection they recommended replacing EGR Cooler and Intake Manifold which again we approved. Total cost $2,356.54 We also did not get the car back until 8/25/2022 On the morning of 8/29/2022 we again had the check engine light come on and the same noise at start up. I called ***'s Diesel and left a message but did not receive a call back. This time we made an appointment at ************* and dropped off the Prius on 8/31/2022. After their diagnostic inspection, they confirmed a #2 cylinder misfire. They performed an overnight compression test and determined that coolant was leaking into the cylinder causing the misfire. Their recommendation was to replace the head gasket which would be a total cost of $6234.91 They also suggested a used engine swap which would cost $8500.00. We declined the work at this time because of the age and the worth of the car.On 9/1/2022 I called ***'s Diesel one more time to let them know the diagnoses from ************* and complain that the work they had performed and the total amount of $2,828.71 that we had paid did not fix the problem since their recommendations were wrong. I asked if there was anything they would do to reimburse us any of the money we spent to have the Prius repaired. **** told me there was nothing they would do and stood behind their diagnoses.

    Business response

After looking at this we do not have this customer (see attached) or vehicle in our system, we have never worked on this customers vehicle. We worked on a different Prius, but it was for a clogged EGR but that was a different customer.
