A technician came out on Friday, 2/10/2023 to fix a drip on the water filter to the our water softener. We discovered the basement area flooded the next morning, the water was spraying out of the connection. My husband turned the water off and attempted to call the company. When we did not get a response, we called another company who came out immediately. B&G called back at this time and my husband told them we had another company coming to address the problem. I went into the office Monday morning, to discuss the problem. Instead of discussing the problem and a possible resolution- *********************** denied that his technician caused the problem and tried to intimidate me by stating that he had already spoken with ******* from the other company and that he (***********************) have never lost a lawsuit. My intention was to work out a resolution for result of the problem the technician caused which would still exist regardless of what company fixed the plumbing issue. Our basement flooded. We will need a reclamation company to replace the carpeting, baseboards, sheet rock, insulation, and certify that the house is mold free. Furniture and computer equipment were damaged beyond repair. ****************** was rude, highly inconsiderate when he could see that I was distressed.

B&G did send out one of their licensed journeyman plumbers on Friday, 2/10/2023 to repair or replace the main line water filter that the homeowner had recently replaced the filter cartridge that had apparently caused one of the threaded connections on the filter housing to leak. B&G's plumber removed leaking adaptor inspected the filter housing and adaptor and did not see anything at that time. Plumber reassembled adaptor back the filter hand tight and tested by turning on the water and running fixtures to see if it would leak again. ******* had one of the homeowners to look at the repair and witnessed that the filter was not leaking and told homeowner to keep an eye on it for a few days to make sure that it does not start leaking again. The plumber also had offered to have a new filter brought out by our parts guy at additional cost, but the homeowner was good with the repair. The next day Saturday 2,11.2023 B&G received two calls that were sent to the plumber that had originally done the work and called homeowner back within a two-hour window and was told that homeowner had already called another company and that B&G would be receiving the bill for the other company and restoration costs. B&G has several plumbing service contracts with the ************** and in the written contract we have a 4hr window to respond to emergency call. The homeowner came to our business on Monday 02/13/2023 at 8am requesting that B & G Plumbing pay for all of the restoration cost. I then explained to the homeowner that our insurance company needed to come and look at the damaged caused and or investigate what caused the leak. We also reminded the homeowner that in order for us to take responsibility for the damage we needed to get back into the home when the homeowner called in on Saturday 02/11/2023 at that time the homeowner denied access to the home to rectify the situation.
