We had this company install a fence for us about 30 years ago and were pleased with their work. So when we decided to put in a fence this year, we made sure they were one of the bidders. They were neither low nor high, which is usually a good sign.Like everyone else, they were booked up so it was 4-5 weeks before they did the installation. There was a little confusion on their part about the rules for putting the posts in the utility easement, so they had to come back out and replace the posts. They did that at no extra charge. After waiting a few days for the concrete footings to dry, they came back and finished the job. On the whole they did a good job at a reasonable price.

What a mess. From the service rep that couldn't fill out paperwork to the bait and switch scam to the extremely shoddy workmanship - There's nothing good to say about this company.We ordered a fence to replace the one that was falling down. The service rep came out to inspect what was there and give us a quote. It was VERY CLEARLY stated - I need what is there removed, and a new fence built. We walked the property and discussed how the old fence was failing, how new posts would need to be set, etc.We signed the contract and paid the deposit. As they're hanging up on me I ask, "So when are you going to do this?" And the reply, "Someone will call you in the next 2 weeks to schedule it. We're 3 months out right now." Seriously? I guess that should have been my first clue of how things were going to go.Two and a half weeks pass... no scheduling call. When I call them I'm told, "We don't do that. We'll call you a day before we come out, but we don't schedule in advance." Surely you jest!A week before the install I contact them to have an additional 7 feet of fence added to the job. Pictures of the current fence as well as an overlay of the requested extension is emailed to the company and a new quote is sent to me.Finally, they day arrives (3 months after the initial consult) to install the fence. The crew shows up and I'm informed that I will have to pay an additional $600 to have them remove the old fence. Their work order says that the fence will be removed by the customer (me)! That is not what was discussed or agreed to! If that was their understanding, then I should have been informed when the pictures were sent in for the extension that time as running short and would I have the old fence out in time?I can't afford to wait on this fence any longer. I agree to pay $400 for the fence removal.The fence is built (with 2 new gates). Problems:1) The back side of the fence faces my neighbor's back yard. He's livid! There's not a straight line to be seen on his side of the fence. The cross members go up and down like waves on the sea! 2) Additionally the posts were cut almost a foot below the top of the fence boards. 3) The gates were not the correct length so they scraped on the ground. 4) The cross members on my side of the fence were only secured with a single nail. No hangers. ONE. NAIL.5) Finally, the gate latch on my 6' gate was secured to... no, not the frame... but one of the upright boards - which is held to the gate by 2 tiny nails. So when the gate closes the nails pull out and the board with the latch moves so the gate wont latch!I paid nearly $4000 for this piece of junk. When I asked the company to make it right, they refused saying they would have to build a whole new fence. Well yes! You didn't build it right! I expect you to make it right!At this point I would not accept any offers to make it right. Idaho Fence is not welcome on my property ever again. I'll fix it myself.I will never recommend doing business with this company. They did not stand behind their product. They did not stick to their agreements.
