I bought a truck with them almost 3 years ago! In May of 2022 I had to renew my plates but when I went to DMV it should there was an error in title paperwork and I had to call my bank or lithia. It turns out lithia didnt file title paperwork correctly and I couldnt get plates until it was fixed! Here we are in January and no one has had the courtesy of even calling me back even after *** reached out to them multiple times and complained on ******** page! I should be reimbursed for every month Ive been making payment on truck with interest for not even being able to drive my truck because license plate isnt fixed

We have met with the customer and DMV and have fixed the problem.  It was a Duplicate title, and we paid for that as well as offered to pay for his Registration fees.  He is fine with us paying his back fees.  DMV is fixed and done as well.

      Thank you

On may 31, 2022 I purchased a 2013 **** F-150 from Lithia Chrysler, jeep and dodge. Which Im sure would ofqualified as a lemon if it where a new truck. I traded in a ******************************************************************** return I received a truck that was advertised and I was guaranteed it was reliable they inspected it. Well not even a day later the truck was at the dealer for a squeal they fixed. But than I found an oil pump leak one of the techs found a oil cooler leak which I asked if the truck had any leaks and was told it didnt before buying it. Not only did it have leaks from there but it also had leaks at the turbo lines. Along with that the transmission started to overheat not even towing anything. Along with the sun roof not sealing due to being broken it pops open. A kid could lift it and get there head caught in it. Or even going over a bump could get it to open and close on its own resulting in glass shattering on my kids and wife. I was sold a truck that wasnt in the condition matching the price I paid for it in fact it was worse but I paid for something in excellent condition and received something in poor condition the sunroof cost **** out of the factory and it is added into the value of the car, the sunroof in my car worked just fine but this trucks didnt and I paid for a working one. All this is within a week of buying the vehicle I was gonna return it but they sold my car I traded in the next day oh and its got exhaust leaks galore causing a check engine light that can result in engine failure. Theyve had my truck for almost two months now Ive made my first payment to be in a loaner car. These guys also price ***** and lie about pricing which if I remember right false advertisement is illegal. This blue 2013 f150 was never 37k in fact it was cheaper than that which is just an example of who they are as a business and why Im reaching out.

It took me two months to get an appointment and they had my car for three days then they did not have a tech available so I had to come back in two weeks. Then they had my car for close to a week and just sprayed off motor and put dye in oil and said come back again. The last time they had my car for about a week and a half and I was there every other day waiting for an estimate and it took hours to even get my key back from them then. They charged me for three separate visits over $500 all for the same thing a diagnostic and estimate due to ******* overfilling oil and I am still waiting for an estimate since February 24 when I had it in there last. My car had 400 miles put on it after I dropped it off when I picked it up and it had been with them the entire time. No explanation given on who drove it or to where also a new chocolate smear on the seat when I got in it to leave and a rippled shifter from the tech said some kind of solvent they used.

I have been dealing with this customer since their last visit. The story was that this was a walk in customer that just had their vehicle serviced at ******** ******* supposedly over filled and put in the wrong type of oil in their car. She specially said it was a 1.5 qt over filled. Since their service with ******* their vehicle has not been running correctly. At this point we made a repair order and got authorization for us to inspect for an oil leak and to perform s synthetic oil change. From our paper records we did not have enough time to take a look at the oil leak. The only charge was for the oil change at 109.31

Second time she came in we looked for an oil leak. There was oil residue from long term seepage and a lot of road grim. At that time we installed an oil dye to see for any other oil leaks. We also sent the vehicle to the detail department to power wash the engine compartment to get a better look at what was leaking.  We advise her to put some mileage on her car as we did not see any other leaks. At that time we charged her 185 for us to clean the engine compartment and to install an oil dye.

Third time she came in, the boyfriend said that there was oil leaking everywhere. We used a UV flash light to check for oil leaks. The only leak that we could have find was coming from oil cooler/ oil filter adapter and valve cover gasket. During out inspection we also found two brand new ignition coil were installed on the vehicle. When we inquired about this it was stated by ****** that a tune up was performed in Nevada, a day after their initial oil change from ******* because of a cylinder misfire and white smoke coming out of the tail pipe. She said that the shop in Nevada also drained the oil to the proper level at that point. This was done before the vehicle even came to Twin Falls CDJR. We were able to confirm the cylinder misfire as there were error codes on the onboard computer.

During this entire time the customers were adamant that ******* broke their engine and that they needed a new one. A technician did perform and drivability and vehicle did perform as expected. A printed estimate of suggest repairs was given to customer as well as an emailed copy was sent to the provided email address. Customer declined all repairs. 185 was charged to the customer.

Side note: The boy friend wanted us to state: that over filling the engine for would cause an immediate engine damage or what future damage could cause.

I am rejecting this response because the overfill was blown out of the seals which when I did not ever receive the estimate from Lithia I took it to a different service center and got one the same day.  I did the plugs because when I picked the car up it was not running properly after the oil change but that is not the issue.  The issue is that when I took the car to them after waiting two months for an appointment they changed the oil and did not do the inspection and estimate.  I was told the first visit everything would be handled and I would be charged $185.  Instead of doing everything the first visit they had me make a second appointment to come back.  They had my car the first day and when I went to pick it up I was told there was no charge they had already changed the oil previously so they just had to change the sticker.  Once again I told them I was there for an estimate and an inspection so I had to leave the car again.  I never received any phone calls regarding my car they had it for several days and then told me after paying yet again that just to bring it back in after driving it a bit and they just had to throw a light on it for the leaks.  I called them as I can show by my phone records as soon as I got back home because you could see the oil leak.  They never answer their phones or return calls.  I tried for several days and had many chats with their online service person which I am happy to provide.  I finally dropped the car back off and asked for the estimate once again after they just threw a light on it.  I was charged yet again for another visit and they said they drove it around a little bit to see if they seen any leaks.  A little bit there is over 400 miles put on my car and they had it for 10 days just to write an estimate that I still have not received.  I will never purchase another car or have them touch another vehicle of mine ever again.  I never said anything about replacing the motor I asked them to be thorough for any current leaks or any future problems that *** arise due to the engine oil overfill and to specifically check the turbo as well because that is something that was brought up to me when I contacted ************ ******* acknowledged that they overfilled it and told me to take it to these guys for the estimate so they could fix it.  My car runs like crude and the smell of oil is now overpowering when I drive it from the cooler or heater core where it where the gasket was blown. This should all been done the first visit for the $185 with a written estimate.  I got my estimate and repairs are being made and it cost me another $140 from another service center.  I am not the only one complaining about their overcharging and bate and drag out tactics or excessive miles from them joyriding and hot-rodding vehicles.  The fact is I was put in a position where I had to pay the two additional trips to them because they made it that way to get the estimate I still  have not received.  The guys that worked there I thought were nice enough given the circumstances at the time now I just think they are con men out to make a paycheck standing around doing nothing all day.  They said my vehicle ran fine but what they did not view like I asked them if they wanted to see is the before and after photos and the sound of my car prior to my overfill and immediately after if they had they would know exactly how ******** the statements they made actually are as to the history of my car and the non existent estimate they never bothered to generate for all the money I paid for them to do so.   They had my car for more than two weeks all told and they did not have enough time?  I think they should have to pay ******* for dragging this out the way they did since they were waiting this entire time for an estimate from the service center they told me to take it to.
      Sincerely,

      ****************************************

Oil leak is coming from Oil Cooler, not a result of overfilling.  We did give an estimate and we can send again.  We are booked out two weeks for all repairs currently.

We will email the estimate again.

      Thank you

      Complaint: 16917045

I am rejecting this response because ******* sent me to you because they acknowledged they overfilled my car and put in the wrong oil prior to me taking the car to Lithia per *******'s instruction.  I had an appointment and was not a walk in trying to get over that came in off the street despite the insinuation in previous replies. I sent the appointment confirmation, along with other supporting documents to the BBB in an email for attachment since I could not upload it via the above link at the time.  I am including the response from the oil manufacturer regarding the incorrect oil that had been put into my car as well.  Mobil1 does not even make a compatible oil for my car that is sold in *****************.  The documents from ******* and oil manufacturer were provided to Lithia at the time of my appointments. You state that my oil cooler only needed to be replaced, yet your documents say recommend valve cover as well.  You state there were not any leaks when you received the car then why did it have so many leaks when I picked it up? Please think carefully before your respond with anymore sidestepping your responsibility.  I notice the person who signed the response is not anyone I communicated with or provided documents to at the time I came in per *******'s instruction.  Your employees are not being entirely truthful. You also do not address the 400 plus miles that were put on the car while at your facility.  The leaks were more than apparent when I picked it back up and took it to a different facility that repaired the numerous leaks from the overfill. Think carefully before responding. If it did not have leaks and then had leaks are you saying they occurred while my car was left in the care of your business for 10 days (the third appointment)? I no longer want the estimate from your facility I have had the leaks repaired so it is no longer needed and based on my experience with your establishment I would rather do the repairs myself than let anyone there work on any vehicle of mine ever again.

      Sincerely,

      ****************************************

This vehicle came into our shop 3 times.  We did not put 400 miles on the vehicle.  We found an oil leak at the oil cooler, which did not happen because of ******* overfilling the oil.  We do not owe the customer any refund, but ******* should consider helping.

      Thanks

      Complaint: 16917045

I am rejecting this response because: Going to be short with this it is getting old

      1.  I had an appointment (see attached 1) to get an estimate due to ******* SENDING ME THERE FOR ONE AFTER THEY OVERFILLED MY CAR WITH OIL, this is not what the issue is that is undisputed by ******** Claims and the shop after yours, you are the only one that changes the facts.

      2. My car takes 4 quarts not 5 (see ******* invoice attached 1) and ***** 1 does not make a compatible oil for my car (Undisputed fact prior to taking it to Lithia for estimate.

      3. on 1/17/22 my mileage on check in was ***** at Lithia

      4.  16 days later on 2/2 - 2/5  my mileage on check in at Lithia was ***** (105 miles) and I drove the car home and back only 2x in

      5.  9 days later on 2/14 -2/24 my mileage on check in was ***** (1 mile??) (amazing since I only drove it home and back to shop)

      6.  6 days later on 3/2/22 my mileage on check in at ****** was ***** (384 miles) I drove from Lithia to my home and then to shop in ****** that is it

      7.  my car was back at Lithia on 2/14 this can be verified not only with a few chat messages with Lithia online but by the Twin Falls ***************** who responded when it was dropped off due to the lock box being wide open with other customers car keys and information there for anyone to take.  I closed the box that was open and called police.  Invoice says it was checked in on 2/24/22 this is not correct as documentation clearly shows

      8.  2/24/22 invoice without the proper check in date shows that they had my car for 47 minutes and did the inspection - yet this was one of many trips there in the past week and I sat in waiting room for hours so they could find my keys and printout the paperwork because I was not leaving without it again - I had already scheduled an appointment with ******

      9.  The invoice from 2/5/22 says they cleaned up oil on engine and steam cleaned it and no leaks were showing after cleaning

      10.  Invoice from Lithia on 2/24/22 says the cleaned up lots of oil and that it was from oil cooler and valve cover gasket

      11.  ****** invoice 6 days later and their estimate shows leaks all over the place engine dripping oil including valve cover, cylinder head cover, seal spark plug, oil vapor separator o ring area, vacuum pump gasket o ring area found leaking and so on and shows the 384 miles between driving from Lithia to my house then to ****** which is around 60 miles total not 384.

      12.  They say they emailed an estimate - how it clearly states on invoice Email NA so how did they send one - they did not

      13.  There were wood chips down in the motor from the top side that you can see but have no idea how they got there after picking it up from Lithia last time and no idea  how they got there

      14.  Unaccounted for mileage and invoices provided by Lithia disagree with with what they have stated here as well as the fact is ******* OVERFILLED AND ACKNOWLEDGED ENGINE OVERFILL AND LEAKS IT CAUSED BEFORE THEY HAD ME TAKE IT TO LITHIA FOR AN ESTIMATE WHICH THEY NEVER RECEIVED.

      15.  They do not owe me a refund for what I paid to them - but they should pay ******* for it and they do owe an explanation for what they did or did not do with with my car while they had it and an apology at the very least

      16.  Lithia's service guarantee is not any good it is a worthless piece of paper because if you try to make them honor their guarantee you get a bunch of BS instead so their word is worthless.

As for their response, all I can say is what a dumx(*%.  If they do not want to apologize and give a real explanation - I will take this to the next level and there is no need for any further responses.  Now I am ticked.

      Sincerely,

      ****************************************

We were travelling from ****** when something happened to our 2019 dodge ram truck. We pulled into Lithia dodge in Twin Falls ***** to see if they would look at it so we could have it repaired. I went into the service ***** and was told my ******** chrysler/dodge warranty is not valid in *******. We were told it would take up to 2-3 weeks just to have it looked at and was given a card to go to an automotive place to see if they could help. When we got to the automotive place they came right out with a code reader and told us what the problem was. This cost us ******* plus we had to get a room for 5 days. We would like this dealership to pay for these expenses. They told us our warranty was no good when it was. it is good all over north america. They could not even come out and read a code to ;et us know what the peoblem was, very bad customer service.
