A Disappointing Experience Vehicle: 2023 Nissan Rogue | VIN: ***************** | Stock: AN2968B I scheduled a test drive at 6:30 PM and arrived on time, expecting a smooth experience. However, the agent I was supposed to meet, ******, was unavailable due to an emergency. Another agent, *********, assisted me, but I was told that the car I came for was being driven by the dealership manager and wouldn't be available until Wednesday two days later. This was frustrating for a few reasons:*The car is listed as Personal use on Carfax, yet it is actively being driven by the dealership manager. If it is being used by dealership staff, it would make more sense for it to be classified under Corporate use.*The mileage displayed online is no longer accurate since the vehicle is being driven. This lack of transparency can be misleading for potential buyers.*It felt like they were trying to push me toward other, more expensive cars instead of honoring the deal I originally came for. This is the second time I've had this experience at a Nissan dealership last week, a different location told me the car I wanted was sold and then tried to sell me a higher-priced alternative. I chose this dealership because they had the best price listed online, but this experience made me question Nissan transparency. I was not expecting this from Nissan. Buyers should be aware of these tactics before making a trip. Wasted my 4 hours.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Arlington Nissan regarding the cancellation of my extended warranty. On May 30, 2024, I spoke with ****, the business manager, who assured me that my warranty was canceled. However, it turns out he never actually submitted the cancellation request. After waiting for months and not receiving my refund, I returned to the dealership on November 5, 2024, where I spoke with ********, who submitted the cancellation ********, as of December 28, 2024, I still have not received my $3,400 refund, which is particularly frustrating since I am continuing to pay interest on the amount because it is included in my monthly payments. The lack of communication, follow-through, and resolution on this matter is unacceptable, and I feel completely disregarded as a customer. I expected much better customer service and accountability from a dealership like Arlington Nissan, and I am left extremely dissatisfied with how this situation was handled.

Called 3 hours in advance, set an appointment time. Car was not ready to see, took over 2 hours past the appointment to test drive it. Vehicle was advertised at $16,926, first round of paperwork came back at list price $17526 plus all their add ons added up to almost $24,500. Went back and forth third round of print out came to $19566 as the base price plus fees came out to over $21** ***** back and forth was told they took a bad deal on the purchase and needed to make up costs. It's not their customers problem that they made a bad purchase and was trying to add so much more on the possible sale. There was damage to the vehicle, battery was 2 years out of date, they did not have a window sticker on the vehicle, and wasted over 2 hours to get into the vehicle to begin with. They would not show us itemized breakdowns of what was optional to decline. Wasted 5 hours of all our time.I submitted a reviews yesterday for two stars on several sites, I had the company ask me to reach out to see if they could turn my negative experiance into a positive one. I called and ***** doubled down on the same issues we had yesterday, then said they thought we had a deal at $21k. I said no we offered $18.5 out the door. You would not show me the breakdown of all the added items that are optional for me to decline, the itemized list of the inspection was all 0's except the end total. You kept saying how you guys made a bad deal bringing the car in, and were just trying to make back some of the money. You need to honor your online price, plus taxt title and license which is $18.5. It is bait and switch and false advertising. So no.

The recent experience I had at Arlington Heights Nissan dealership was a disappointing portrayal of the brand's integrity. A situation similar to that described by another reviewer, ******* *. The advertised price for the vehicle was contingent upon financing at a high APR of 9.99%. When I expressed my intention to pay in cash, the price increased by $5,000 immediately. Notably, neither the dealership website nor listings on platforms like ******** specified that the listed price applied solely to financing customers. The dealership manager candidly explained that their profit margins are primarily derived from lending institutions, and they assert they offer the lowest prices, implying that I would be unable to find better deals elsewhere. Having previously purchased vehicles in multiple states, I have never encountered such practices. The manager seemed almost boastful about what appears to be misleading advertising, highlighting a significant disparity his dealership sold 52 cars in a day compared to only 6 by their competitors. This approach to sales feels disreputable, and I will opt to source my next vehicle from a dealership that prioritizes transparency and ethical business practices.

Stay away from this dealership. Total scam. Expect to pay $4,000 over and above the advertised price. Total waste of time and they couldn’t give a ****!!

Ok so initially I didn’t have a good experience and there was some misunderstanding and miscommunication. I will say that everything was taken care of and Mike was super amazing about the whole thing. Thank you for fixing this!!!

UPDATE: The phone number they gave me to call goes straight to voicemail and they don't return your call! I emailed the ** my concerns and he blocks my email. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!I got a new lease on a Rogue from this location and told them by budget. They initially went a lot higher than what I can afford and I said I will pass. They told me to wait and came back to the office with a budget more in my price range. While waiting for them to clean my new lease I changed the insurance to my new car. They then pulled my lease up and I switched everything out from my old car to new car. It was then time to pay and I was then advised that my miles per year allowed went down from 12k to 5k. I was not advised of this prior. I was told this was the only way to get my payments lower but NO ONE TOLD ME!!! At this time it was too late to turn back as it was after closing and I had switched everything out of my car and changed insurance to my new car. I left and noticed the gas tank was almost empty. I emailed them that they gave me a car with no gas and they said to come in and fill it up when I'm free. I can't go in there and fill it up b/c now i have to watch my miles otherwise if I go over I have to pay. Probably one of the worst experiences leasing a car.

This dealership intentionally tried to make me blow my motor on my Nissan because I didn't want to trade it in. I went to get my oil changed multiple times as I should and I had noticed the last time I went to get my oil changed they never refilled my oil. I was driving my car on no oil which resulted in a buildup of sludge. I took my car in and expressed my concern because my engine started to sound like a diesel truck. They tried to tell me it was because I was late on a few oil changes. I can admit I was a few weeks late but always made sure regardless my truck had oil. They said they would top it off with oil and to consider me having to trade it in or get a new motor. I took my truck home. Not even less then 24 hours and me not driving it. I opened the oil cap just to check the oil and it was bone dry. I called back to tell them and they said my engine is now burning the oil because of the sludge. Bullshit! I didn't even drive the car only home from after they said they topped it off with oil. They point the finger at you and rob you. Prior to that I had the front bulbs changed for over 250 dollars because they said they had to remove the front number which I found out was another freaking lie they scammed me good and I thought with all the years I got cars from them I was in good hands never again this place is the worst dealer I have ever been too. BBB please investigate there work and their employees. I have all my receipts to back up the overpriced work I had got done. This is sad business. I can only imagine the rest of the women and older people they take advantage of.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER. I bought a Maserati through them, the sales person was *******************, she didn't let me test drive the car and when i noticed that there was a wrench light on the dashboard, SHE LIED TO ME, SHE SAID THAT IT WAS ON BECAUSE THEY DID AN OIL CHANGE AND ALL I NEEDED WAS TO TAKE IT TO THE MASERATI DEALER AND THEY WILL TURN IT OFF. Well, I did and the dealer in downtown ******* told me that they could not do that because they didn't know what they did to the car, so the service manager told me that it could be as simple as an oil change, which will cost me $500 bucks or it could be the 4 year maintenance and that will cost me about $2000.00 dollars. I've been talking to them and they just keep bouncing the call from her manager back to her and she said that the car was "sold as is" which is not true, also 2 weeks into I got the car I noticed the brakes squeaking, I took it to the dealer and they told me that the back brakes WHERE 2MM THICK!!! that they sold me a car with no brakes and the front ones were 40% gone, I had to change the brakes for my safety and when I call them they only refunded me $500 dollars, and i had to chase them for two weeks on the phone for it until I had to go their way and told them trhat i would not leave without that check, and "magicaly it was just sitting on one of the managers office" I've been doing my payments on time and they just s**** me by selling me a car that was in NOT WORKING AND SAFETY CONDITION, I will file a complaint with the better business bureau and I will have to *** them for selling me a car the way they did. ***'T TRUST THIS DEALER, IF YOU GO AND BUY A CAR FROM THEM MAKE 100% SURE THAT EVERYTHING IS IN ORDER BEFORE THEY RUSH YOU TO SIGN THE ***** DOCUMENTS. IF YOU CAN TAKE A TRUSTED MECHANIC WITH YOU, DO IT. AGAIN DO'T TRUST THEM.
