Purchase date May 18, 2024 My experience with this den of deceit has been nothing short of a horror story. From the owner to the finance manager, honesty is as foreign to them as an alien language. They slammed me with a $360 documentation fee only to fumble the paperwork, and then refused to correct their own bungles despite their hollow promises. *** in financing is a master of treachery, sneakily adding ludicrous fees like a $1,195 "handling and prep" charge for what turned out to be nothing more than a glorified car wash. The most infuriating part? They flat-out refused to cancel a $3,400 extended warranty that *** conned me into buying. Even after the warranty company and the financing bank directed them to return the funds, *** defiantly refused. The vehicle warranty administrator specifically told *** to mail me the refund, but he chose his commission over decency. But wait, it gets worse. They installed non-******** **** brakes on my car, botched the installation, and incorrectly placed the sensors. This forced me to rush to a genuine ******** service team to replace everything properlya service for which I gladly gave a 5-star review.Customer service at ********************** is a tragic farce. They lied about fixing my registration errors, stalled for over a week, and played incessant phone tag. Their receptionist blatantly lied about ***** presence while he was sitting right there. When I confronted ***, he had the audacity to call the police on me in a pathetic attempt to intimidate me.In the end, I had to bypass their ineptitude and work directly with the finance company to correct the errors they claimed were unfixable. Despite this, ** still waiting for my $3,400 refund. This dealership is a cesspool of deceit and scams. Hardworking Chicagoans, save yourselves the nightmare: steer clear of Midway Autohaus. Preserve your sanity, wallet, and time by avoiding this pit of dishonesty at all costs.

On September 24, 2022, I purchased a vehicle, 2014 **** Focus from Midway Autohaus, *******************************************. This purchase was made due to an accident in which my car was totaled, and I needed transportation. My aunt and uncle accompanied me to make the purchase in which we test drove 3 cars. I make this statement to say that I am not the only opinion on the operation of the car at testing. The car drove smoothly (or at least the car we rode in, Im not sure if VIN numbers were switched?), there we no dashboard light showing everything was in order, or so I thought. At the time of purchase, I was given 2 documents of repairs and recalls and status of the vehicle, A+ rating, based upon the certified information (attached) I bought the car in good faith. Early October 2022 the car began jerking, I thought it was something to do with the alignment or tires. I purchased 2 tires (expected) and took the car to ********* automotive for a front-end alignment. These two things are not out of the ordinary but what was strange was the continued jerking of the car. In November 2022 the engine light came on and the request for the emissions test notification. I went to take the test and failed. Of course, I need to get the check engine light taken care of and work in order to pass the emission testing. So, I take it the mechanic, ******** now has a form to complete in order to even retake the test and to my surprise, the mechanic tells me that a code was overridden in early September (not deleted because he could see the dates on his machine), this date precedes my purchase and was purposely deleted to sell me a defective vehicle! March 2024 a new transmission is needed! Midway Autohaus must be held responsible for this and should investigate and make full restitution on my purchase. There are certain criteria even for cars with no warranty. No warranty does not give you the right to alter, tamper or change the vehicle to make a sale. Still owe $8649.

Hello, tires are wear and tear items that the owner of the vehicle is responsible for, the same goes for the wheel alignmnet. The vehicle was purchased as-in and extended warranties were declined by the customer, therefore, we will not be participating in any repairs. Thank you

They sold my car on a consignment, kept and used my funds for two months. There even was a breach of written contract, like changing the sales price without my approval. Twice. They were trying to s**** me over my car's title demanding the title without providing a payment, even though they got paid for the car the day they sold it! I had been intimidated by salesman ***. He threatened me several times that if I do not provide the car's title prior to paycheck, they will apply for a duplicate. Honest and safe offer for both sides 'title for check' was not an acceptable option for them. In order to s**** me over, they wanted to place themselves in a position of power - keep the money and title. Basically, creating option to overtake my car that way. Initially I have been told that I can pick up the check by the end of October. On Oct. 28th *** told me that I can pick up the check on Nov.6th... Nov. 6th passed, still no check and *** was pretending like nothing has happened... Between Nov. 6th and Nov.15 I had made several attempts to at least find out when I can get my check. Unsuccessfully. On Nov. 15th. when I went there to discuss the issue in person, a funny looking - but aggressive - guy told me to leave... Eventually, it turned out that they respond well to magic password - 'the Secretary of ************** Without this option I would probably never get my money back. On top of everything, they had audacity to deducted late fee from my check! Stealing my money as a matter of fact! Even thought they were the ones who dragged the process to extreme point! Since a car takeover didn't work out well, they have to pleased themselves at least with a couple hundred of dollars. I got overshared $175, not to mentions loss of my valuable time on pushing thing back and forth with them, and exceptionally rude, disrespectful salesmen ***. They received $1585 for their service.

This is by far the worst place to buy a car because not only will they lie about repairs and promise to stand be hind their product but I was refused when asked to speak with the owner about trading out before this even happened. We only put 400 miles on the van and they actually had the car longer than us when it comes to possession.Issue#1 was a week after purchase van was randomly over heating we took it in where we stayed with the vehicle for 2 hours while their mechanics looked over it and told us it had low coolant.Issue#2 it over heated again along with a jerking and fail to turn over when attempting to start. We took it back to them where they told us it was a temp sensor that went out. We were put in a loaner for 2 weeks while they called them selves repairing it. (This put us out of our warranty with them.) when we returned to pick it up it still was jerking and still not turning over when we started it up. We waited on ***(Salesman) to arrive where he then took the van on a test drive with me so he can see that the repairs were not completed.Issue#3 When we returned the vehicle was still acting up and they told us it was nothing else they can do for us. Every time when we came in we asked if we can exchange for a different vehicle. And was told we would have to put more money down after all of this we already put down 4K on this ?? and was apparently gonna be stuck with it. When we were left alone with *** (Salesman) he told us that a Transmission was put in the van ****** was not disclosed at time of purchase nor is it anywhere on the car fax. I would like to resolve this issue with the owner cause I have done business with this dealership in the past and feel as if it can be resolved without any problem but was told by *** and *** that they wouldnt speak to us about this issue. We are now without a vehicle and are stuck with a van after putting down 4K and now in need of a transmission on top of everything else.

On May 9th, I went into Midway Autohaus to purchase a cadillac xt5 2018. The salesmen (***) vaguely disclosed the current state of the car being a rebuild due to minor damages. However I was never informed of the car being branded with a salvage title or explained what that actually meant. After having the car for a week the parking break service light turned on. I took the car to be repaired to ******************* in ***********. The car serviceman (***) called to inform me that the caliper actuator and connector had been glued together and the repair would cost an out of pocket charge of $927.29. Since previously, i had purchased a warranty costing $4,000 with the car I requested to have a claim filed for the replacement and service to be covered. The warranty refused to cover the service due to the inner car parts being tampered with. I was also informed of the car being unsafe to drive after careful analysis. On 5/25/2023 I returned the vehicle to Midway Autohaus with both keys. I have lost all trust with Midway Autohaus and will no longer be investing my hard earned money in their business.

Full disclosure of the vehicle title brand was disclosed to to ********************* at the time of purchase in compliance with ******** State laws. Both the purchaser ********************* and her father reviewed current vehicle history report and the title branding. All necessary legal disclosure form required by the state of ******** were signed.  Please see attached copies. We cannot extend any further good will at this time.Thank you!
