Never use this moving company! They raised the estimated price, not until the truck was loaded with our things, by 25%. That is part of their scam. We were without our things for 6 weeks, which was supposed to be 10 days. We had a great deal of loss. They stole many things, including an adult size bicycle. Their customer service was impossible. Do not use United Nations Van *********************** Do not use this company!!!!

Inaccurate estimate. Final price over $10,000 above estimate. We paid extra for professional packing which was sloppy and resulted in significant damage. The packers were rude and NONE of them spoke English! Boxes were packed half full and we were charged by cubic foot. ************** were unscheduled and two weeks late. Our goods were co-mingled with others and were warehoused at an undetermined location. We had a great deal of loss and damage which they will (try to) never pay for. Moving companies, in general, are a haven for unscrupulous business practices. They demand all payment up front, in cash, and their response to complaints is simply to ignore. I have the impression that they don't treat their employees any better than their customers. I truly hope (and expect) that we never move again. This is an area where I truly believe government regulation (and enforcement) is needed. I plan to take **** to small claims court.

If there were a way to leave a negative value of stars for this recommendation, I would. Without hesitation, I can say that working with United Nation Van Lines was the worst, most painful experience my family has ever had. Our move ended up costing more than double our original quote. The day of our move, when we had no other options, the moving team told us we would have to pay thousands more than we were planning on. The worst part of the experience was the fact that one of the movers used the one bathroom in our home that we literally had taped off as our "safe space" with valuables and destroyed the space to the point that we had to have the commode repaired extensively (which we ended up paying for) and almost everything in the space was a complete loss--tech equipment, camera equipment, clothing, shoes, and other meaningful possessions. Additionally, we had to have our entire home professionally sanitized to ensure that all of the human waste the moving team tracked throughout our house was mitigated before our buyers moved into the home. The movers were discourteous, surly, and disrespectful. They smoked just outside our door which allowed smoke to filter into the house and left an incredible amount of trash on the property when they left. Finally, once we received our belongings (which were delivered late by several days), we were missing countless boxes and received many boxes that belonged to other customers. We did our best to return those to the rightful owners but got no communication about all that we had lost. Box after box of our things were smashed to smithereens, including several boxes of heirloom stoneware that we were assured would arrive in one piece. To this day, we have no idea of all the things we are missing. Please, please, please do not use this mover. You will be grateful in the long run to avoid the negative--and truly painful, stressful, and unnecessary--experience we did. It is interesting that the customer service on the front end w

Can't rate this company low enough. Warning to all, get everything in writing, don't believe the sales rep, get the replacement value insurance. Final **** $10,000 over estimate. Non of their trucks were branded with company name. One person spoke English. We had $7,000 in damages.

Terrible experience. Movers were very very angry young men. Arrived six hours late and immediately started smoking. Told them not to and their response (I discovered later upon unpacking) was to burn a hole in my sofa!! Antiques were thrown into boxes with no protection or even marking box as fragile. Lamps, antique ceramics, paintings - all badly damaged and many beyond repair. So far I estimate 15k worth of damages. As a person I am respectful of those who work for me. This was clearly their second job of the day and they appeared exhausted and as I mentioned quite angry with their bosses. As the finished at 3 am I got them dinner and plenty of water. I absolutely do NOT. Think I did anything to treat them badly. I wont be so decent next time. This company also does not respond when you call customer service.

Our review of United Nations Van ********************** (UNVL) is to help make a decision on moving carriers. We read reviews and chose UNVL for the expedited delivery option. Our items loaded on the 8th with delivery on the *****th. ***** in customer service told us our items were taken to the secure storage yard and loaded for a expedited delivery. We went to our home expecting our items delivered two to five days later. The delivery time arrived and we were told our items were not loaded and our items would not ship till the next truck. I spoke to ***** who agreed that was not the contract. After many calls we were told a truck broke down, the next one would have our items. Our expedited fee was returned. We were told the items were safe in a warehouse. We were frustrated but things do happen. Our complaint at this point was a lack of communication. On 4/22 ***** told me a truck and our goods would arrive by the next 29th. The truck was not a UNVL truck but a subcontractor. Two weeks late but we had our items, we thought. Our items when unloaded looked ok, scratches and some crushed boxes. We understood in normal wear and tear of a move this occurs. While unpacking, my wife found 2 boxes with the box side ripped down from the handle and re-taped. In each box items had been stolen. In the 1st a jewelry box was broken open jewelry, thumb drives, and sentimental items were stolen. The 2nd had 2 pairs of sunglasses stolen.I called ***** and explained the theft. I described the boxes she agreed it was theft. She would inform her manager and took a list of items. I called and finally spoke the manager ****. I described the theft she was unaware of it, and agreed it was theft. At this time she contacted the storage warehouse. She apologized and told us the contract states valuables should not be shipped. We all have items of value to ship despite the small print on the back of a page. We know damage and loss is a risk. However, theft is different, this is crime.

Wish I would have checked BBB first. Price doubled one week before the trip. Increased again after the load. Sales person lied. Required payment through postal money orders or cash. Worst business experience of my life.

Worst experience ever, stay away from this company, they changed their estimate 2 times to a much higher price one week before the move claiming that the estimate was not accurate though they had detailed pictures of every piece of furniture and accurate count of every box, they sent fewer workers than promised, they To give an example, we had a Jinair refrigerator bought for around $6000, they destroyed the entire refrigerator, the two flaps of the front door were shattered into pieces, they only offered $342 for replacement they broke a ceiling chandelier (hanged at the ceiling a set of 3 chandeliers) worth $2500, they only offer 60 CENTS as a replacement. My advice to any customer, please DO NOT use them, odds are you will deeply regret it.Every piece of furniture was damaged or destroyed, they dropped wrapped items and refused to unpack to check if broken, they dropped China boxes and refused to pay any money saying that it was wrapped by them, would never recommend them to anyone under any circumstances
