Don’t use these losers never and ever. They don’t have even customer service available on Sundays. I was in a gas station only with my debit card and these incompetents blocked my card and my wife had to drive 30 miles to put gas on my card, under the rain with both of my little children, because nobody answered the phone on Sunday.Review from Rob W

Where do I begin with how much I hate Busey. My card gets denied due to “issuer rejection” despite constantly telling the support team to stop intervening. I lost my debit, went through the necessary steps to lock and order a new one, I was left without one for 2 weeks and called to find it wasn’t even shipped yet. I want to close my account, and I was told I have to mail in a request? I can’t go into my local branch to do it?Review from Martinea P

If I could give zero stars, I would, I woke up in morning to find out my entire bank account and check was drained. My debit card was still working at this time, but I cannot access my online banking. I later found out I was hit with fraud and these occurred all over the world, for example London, China, and So on and so forth. I would’ve thought that you would allow me to see my banking information to prevent fraud however, they allow the fraud to continue and disabled me from viewing anything on my account. I went to my local branch to dispute these transactions and get a new debt card. Only to be handed a piece of paper that gave me a 30 day notice that I would be essentially fired from their bank. Although the people at this branch were super nice, the fraud department clearly does not have the best customer service and did not have any empathy for all of my money vanishingReview from Linda V

If it were possible I would give this negative stars. They don't know what they are doing. They seem to work by their own wims, not baking rules. Unnecessary demands, unreasonable demands. Would never ever recommend Busey, the bank they bought was awesome. Can't wait for the day I can close the accounts there.Review from SHELLEY W

Bank hours in Decatur, IL locations are not customer friendly. I don't know how the working public is supposed to use this bank. OK for retired people and those who don't work I guess. Not impressed.Review from Tiffany L

i never Had A Issue with *** **** ** ************ The Moment The company switched To Bussey My Entire Life changed My Account Is Always In The Negative No Matter What... I Have Direct deposit & Soon as it post my account go straight to over draft charges nonstop which causes me To be Behind on my Bills I wish i would have Left The moment *** **** ** ************ left Bussey is A Complete Rip off!!!!!!!!Review from Amy W

Our experience with Busey has been a nightmare for 5+ years. Over $20k was stolen from my husband's checking account over 5 years ago. We reported it as soon as was saw it. The bank froze the account at that time. No one has been able to help us recover our stolen money or allow us access to the account to remove the money that is remaining. We have contacted many people, many times and no one has been able to help us. Finally we have had to hire a lawyer to bring a lawsuit against the bank. Prior to this, my husband had put in multiple requests for new checks and a new debit card for his account, after verifying the address each time, we never received either. This is at best, gross negligence on the part of Busey and at worst and inside job. We are still dealing with the fallout of losing this amount of money that was supposed to be insured and protected, as well as the almost non-existent help from anyone at Busey. (I wish there was a dumpster file icon to choose as opposed to stars)

Me and my wife recently split up. I opened a separate checking and savings account. I was assured several times that there was no way she could access my account. Was told that I was the only one with access. She was able to go into the app and see my account. I was told to change my user name and password, that the account was linked to my SS number and if she had the password and username she could still looks at it. So I changed the username and password. Woke up this morning and found out she had transferred $10,000 out of my personal account, into the joint account, and then withdrew it from the joint account. Contacted Busey and basically they gave me the runaround telling them I must have given her the new username (I didn't), maybe I left my phone out and she got into it ( we don't live together anymore and never see each other) and other things. Will not take responsibility for their screw up, allowing her access to an account she is not authorized to access. So, if you are a Busey customer, be aware that your account is not secure and anyone can just gain access and drain your account.Review from Randy H

I have never banked at Busey Bank. I'm in reference to the knoxville ave in peoria, il. I have a loan that I got thru South Side bank. Busey bought them out. For me to make a loan payment online it will cost me $5. Really, to pay on a loan online would cost me an extra$5. Crazy! Every other bill I pay, I pay online. So I go to the bank to make a payment with my debit card thru another bank. Busey won't take it. The only way I can pay is to write a check. It's the only bill that I have to pay with a check. I can't justify doing any banking with Busey again after this loan is paid. Worst bank in Peoria!!! I gave 1 star because it won't let me give 0.
