I was double charged on 8/29/24 for a parking reservation. My account has subsequently been cancelled with no record of my reservation. This is a fraudulent business practice and despite numerous attempts I cannot reach anyone from The Parking Spot.Business response

Discount codes from this company do nothing. Received discount code in email. Followed instructions to redeem: logged in to my account, entered code and received rate. Then opened different browser, requested reserve price for exact days/times (as guest, no login) and received exact same rate. Then on another computer, logged into my account and entered AAA member discount code. You guessed it, exact same rate as other 2 attempts. This company is scamming people with false discount codes. Whatever code is entered will yield same rate. Even non-account holders get same rate. Isnt this false advertising or bate-and-switch? I honestly cant understand how this company still has a good BBB rating. Makes me severely doubt value of BBB.Business response

You have AAA linked to your AAA. It is VERY hard to beat a AAA discount. They are offering more than 30%. Our system compares all discounts available and applies the highest.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
While I still feel that the various codes offered make very little difference to the final prices with or without codes, there is no way to challenge their explanation. So, until I have more concrete evidence, I must drop the complaint. This issue was resolved. We do not offer phone support & our response time for Gold members is 48 hours. We have a Contact us article and Contact us button on the bottom of EVERY article listed on our website.

On 6/12/24 I made a reservation on www.theparkingspot.com for The Parking Spot South location (Reservation #*********). I paid $86.29 upfront for this reservation.I then realized I should have booked The Parking Spot North location so on 6/12/24 I modified my reservation on www.theparkingspot.com to change my reservation from The Parking Spot South to The Parking Spot North. I was refunded my original $86.29 and charged the new price of $179.01 for the North location. My reservation number remained the same.When we arrived at The Parking Spot North on the day of our reservation (7/17/24), the ** Code provided on The Parking Spot app for us to use at check in showed our reservation still being at The Parking Spot South. The attendant wouldnt allow us into the North parking lot and informed us we had to go to South. We went to South, scanned our ** Code and parked there.I am requesting a refund of $92.72 which is the difference in amounts that I paid to move my reservation from South to North which was not honored.I have included screenshots of our reservation as well as the ** Code we were provided for check in.On 7/18/24 I reached out to The Parking Spot through their Contact form on their website, I received no response.On 7/23/24 I followed up with The Parking Spot regarding the lack of response to my request. I received no response.On 8/1/24 I called The Parking Spot North location directly and asked to speak to the manager. I was informed that the manager had been out all week and they had no idea when he would be back. I explained the situation to the employee who informed me that it was an IT issue and I had to email **************************************** On 8/1/24 I emailed **************************************** and as of today (8/4/24) I have received no response to my email.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:The customer service representative did reach out to me but it did not resolve the issue. Below is the message I received and my response to The Parking Spot:
EMAIL FROM THE PARKING SPOT CUSTOMER SERVICE:
"Thank you for reaching out to us! We sincerely apologize for the delay in getting back to you. We have been experiencing higher-than-usual demand, resulting in a delay in our response time. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
I am showing that your stay has been fully refunded. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to assist you."MY RESPONSE TO THE PARKING SPOT:
Thank you for your email. Since first contacting you regarding this issue, we had to pay an additional $105.66 to exit The Parking Spot South as they charged us for the drive up rate due to our reservation being at North and not South.
I called the manager at The Parking Spot South the next day. I explained the situation, he was very helpful and apologetic. He agreed to refund us the $105.66 difference we paid for the drive up rate.
This amount (and refund) was in addition to the original refund request I am requesting.
Summary of our charges we have paid:
6/12/24 - $86.29 paid to The Parking Spot South online (Refunded on 6/12/24 when I modified our reservation)
6/12/24 - $179.01 paid to The Parking Spot North online
7/27/24 - $105.66 paid to The Parking Spot South at location to exit facility (Refunded on 8/2/24 by manager of South)
The amount I am contesting is the $179.01. I am asking for a refund of $92.72 which is the difference between the amount I paid ($179.01) for covered parking at North and the service I actually received ($86.29) uncovered parking at South.Sincerely,

The Parking Spot is intentionally and willfully price gouging consumers at a rate $26.25 per day during the holiday. This is before taxes and fees. According to the attendant the daily price is actually about $35 per day. This pricing is much different than the phone app which I could not get to work. Please investigate this price gouging. I will exhaust all means to go after this companyBusiness response

At The Parking Spot, our rates can vary depending on availability. As our facility can fill up quickly, we may have limited spots available, resulting in higher daily rates for the last few spots. To secure the best rate, we recommend making a reservation at least 2 weeks before your check-in date. Please keep in mind that the best rate is only guaranteed with a reservation. We do not have a "normal" daily flat rate as our rates change daily.

I signed up for the spot club on 3/08/2023, which is their loyalty program. I have used the facility 4 times with the total of approximately 25 days. I recently tried to book a ************** January 2025.I checked my account it stated I only stayed 15 days and have two free days of parking, which is incorrect since I stayed 25 days and should be 4 or 5 days of free parking. I went back into the application and was unable to find that information, the site required me make a new account. All information is missing, and I have made multiple attempts to contact the company about this issue and no response.Business response

On December 7, 2023, I made a reservation with Park'n'Fly to park at ****************************. They send me an email receipt, which I attached below. About a month ago, I contacted The Parking Spot, which acquired Park'n'Fly since December, so I could get details about where to park at DIA. They have not responded. The only way to get ahold of them is via email. I did try calling their headquarters, but there is not an option to speak to a customer service representative. Although I've sent several emails to them, they have no responded. Mind you, this has been over a span of weeks. I also tried to get an account on their app, which they said would be easy for Park'n'Fly customers, but my reservation will not show. I now want to just cancel my reservation and go with another company, but they will won't answer my emails. My trip is next week, and I will have to pay double to park because this company is not responding or helping me.Business response

My parking spot was agreed to be $9 per day. Due to my flight being canceled, I had to return the following day. When exiting, I was charged $30 per day and had no choice but to pay. I request a refund for the overpayment, as I was unaware of any penalties for staying an extra day.Business response

I have a very simple concern regarding a recent stay at this location (The Parking Spot, LAX, located on ************ in ***********).I am a member of their loyalty program (at the highest tier, for whatever that *** be worth, and have been for several years).As part of that program, I'm supposed to receive "loyalty points" for each stay.Some weeks ago, I completed a stay, but the points were never credited to my account.I've tried reaching out to the location by phone, 3 times, during regular business hours, but the calls were simply unanswered.I've tried their web contact form, twice, one week apart, and simply never received a reply.Likewise, messages on ******** and ******* went unanswered.I have a receipt for my stay - a very routine one just as I've done dozens of times before, and I'm simply trying to get in touch with someone to get those points credited.I've attached a copy of my receipt (which indicates the charges were paid), and information on the loyalty program and procedures can be readily found on their website.Thanks for any help you can provide.Business response

Booked a park and fly for *********** confirmation ******** Under *************************************** and cannot get a refund. Confirmation ********. PNF reservations started with a number and had 4 letters after it. The Parking Spot reservations are 9 digits long. Can you please check your credit card statement and let us know what the transaction description says?
