      The absolutely worst insurance company I've ever seen. They client was the cause of a three car accident. So there client won't comply with paper the insurance needs for him, so nothing is being done about fixing my car,THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. They don't care about anything but ripping people off..Here is a start BE FAR make your client do what right. They don't deserve one star at all...the only way I'm giving them a star is to blast them.

      I filed a claim with direct auto insurance in 2023 for Lexus SUV my family owns. They gave me the run around for months and hardly answered phone calls. Their insurer hit me in a car accident and hit a parked *** bus. We had a police report the corroborated the story as the insurer in fact hit me. I informed direct auto of this. Yet, they shockingly stated they did not believe police and will side with their insurer. It was unbelievable! Their insurer hit me and the police, who is an objective party, confirmed this as the *** driver shared the same story yet they did not want to pay the claim. I had to see a doctor and I am still experiencing hand pain due to the car accident. Despite this, direct auto denied my claim after giving me the run around for months and have not given a solid reason as to why the claim was denied. This company is not trustworthy and should not be licensed to insure people. They don't pay their claims. I'm so distraught by the experience I had with such a shady company.

      To whom this matter may concern. I would like for someone to call me back because I have an issue. Direct auto is trying to take 2 payments at one time out if my account I called and was told it was nothing they could do about it unless I made a payment early. This is very upsetting. I have tried to get help with my issue and nothing. The customer service rep was nice but I was on hold for over a half hour and did not get my problem resolved. This company stressed me out. Asking to make 2 payments in one month which was not explained to me. This is unheard of Direct auto needs to do better. I wish I never use this company!! People on a fixed incone should not have to stress over this especially when I asked for a certain date to make my payment. This is super upsetting. With no resolve from the company at all. Sad. Money DOESNT make the world go around. Regardless of what this society thinks.

      I wish I could give them NOOO STARSSS! Ever since I safe auto got bought out my car insurance been terrible!!!! Im suppose to pay ****** for two vehicles thats what my policy says NOW ITS KEEP CHANGING FROM $600-864 back to ****** to all the wrong amount but what Im suppose to pay! U try to talk to a rep and they just as DUMB! They want me to pay 486 now after I paid 436 April 26 2024!!!! Now they trying to cancel my insurance!!! THEY NEEDD TO BE CLOSED NOWWWWWW! They are not doing their job they said o its a computer error I said its an error every month!!!! Im VERYYYYYY MADDD! They are changing people policy after it was set another policy this is illegal!!!! If have to call bbb everyday I will!!! I have proof of my policy and how they will cancel my policy out the blue for What!!! I wish I could upload photos of how they canceled me after I already paid and how they charging different amounts

      I was involved in an accident last month. They sent the claim to me via snail mail. I hadn't received anything within 5 days so I called and asked why I hadn't received anything via email. I was sent a link stating the claim could be completed via PDF online and that I could click on the fields and they would populate. That was not true. Then when I finally received the claim, there was no return envelope or fax number listed. I called every morning after 8 am. The *** would disconnect my call or play the same options. Once I hit the option for existing claims and the recording said "this department is currently closed." I had to choose the option for new claims just to get a live rep.

      Daughter was in a car accident. Direct auto does not call back. They are nothing but a scam company. I suggest getting a lawyer if the other vehicle has direct auto insurance. They should seriously be shat down.

      Was involved in an accident over a week ago. They have called me once. Have not gotten back to me about emails and have not returned calls. Literally nothing. The people who crashed into me is whose insurance I have spoken with more than my own. My insurance is paid until August ** since they have there money I guess I dont matter. Also told the lady when I signed up I wanted full coverage, only to be in an accident and find out I only have liability. Now Im carless. Im soooo disappointed and will be switching soon as this is Over with.

      Direct Auto Insurance Company, based in ******* (NAIC ID# ****** has diligently searched its records and has determined that the Complainant is neither one of its policyholders nor her claim against one of its policyholders.  In short, it appears that the Complainant has filed her BBB Complaint against the wrong company.  Once again, Direct Auto states, on information and belief, that Complainant's complaint should be directed to Direct Auto Insurance in the ***************** (phone: ************ or email **************** at *********************************************************************.  In addition, Direct kindly requests that the Complainant indicate satisfaction with our company's response to this matter and that the BBB remove this Complaint from its list of open cases.

      If I could give a zero I would. I was with Safe Auto. I was paying around $123 a month. Now I have Direct Auto and I am now paying $165 a month.I have no accidents nor tickets and they still would not work with me to lower the payment. My vehicle is paid off and I have full coverage. Why so much a month for a vehicle that is paid off?

      Warning for those who get hit by one of their insured. On February 21, 2024 I was involved in a car accident with one of their insured. Their insured failed to stop at stop sign. I filed a police report, filed the necessary paperwork online to file a claim and submitted everything that they can possibly require. A couple days passed had not heard from insurance. So I called to find out status and to see if anything else was needed. They sent me a link to upload photos. 2 wks passed no word from the insurance. So I called again and they asked me to submit another form which I did. Then literally 4 days later I received a denial saying that it was denied because I didn't take proper look out for their insured which caused me to hit them. Yet I didn't have a stop sign and they did. Police report clearly shows it was their insured's fault. So I called again and all they kept saying was it was denied. I asked how can a claim be denied if you didn't get a statements from both parties involved? The only statement you got was your insured's? They couldn't answer the question and kept saying it was denied. I had to file a claim with my insurance.
