My mom got a call from ************ stating they had an urgent business matter to settle with me, her 19 year old daughter. The person on the phone would not give their name, or a reference number, just the name of the firm, ************************************************ I have zero debt, excellent credit, never got so much as a parking ticket, and no medical bills. The woman on the phone was hostile and vaguely threatening. Harris and Harris needs to provide a detailed explanation of the supposed debt they are trying to collect in writing and should not call my mother's phone or mine again.Business Response

We are in receipt of your complaint dated February *******, pertaining to the above-captioned matter. We have had an opportunity to review the file and feel that there is an amicable resolution.
Our records show that ****** ***** & White placed an account for Ms. ******** with our office for collection on January 10, 2025. A validation notice for this account was mailed to Ms. ******** on January 17, 2025. Upon receipt of the complaint, our office reached out to ****** ***** & White to request the itemized bill and will promptly forward it to Ms. ******** as soon as we receive it.
Notwithstanding the above, our office has placed a hold on Ms. ********* account and ceased all collection efforts while she works with ****** ***** & White to resolve this matter.We hope this clarifies the issue raised. This firm calls my phone twice a day, every week, for no apparent purpose . I dont have any outstanding debts, medical or otherwise. Somehow, this company has my phone number and name. I have no correspondence with/from this firm. The firm has provided no documentation that could support their continued calls and harassment.I am officially demanding a "CEASE" to calling my phone, prior to seeking legal counsel regarding this firms business practices. We are in receipt of your complaint dated February 28, 2025,pertaining to the above-captioned matter. We have had an opportunity to review the file and feel that there is an amicable resolution.
Our records show that ****************************** placed three (3) accounts for Ms. ******** with our office for collection between September 24, 2020 and October 17, 2024. One of the accounts was subsequently paid in full and now closed with our office. Upon receipt of the ********** we immediately removed Ms. ********* phone number from the account and our office has not placed any additional calls to her since that date. Please note that Mw. ******** did not request that we stop calling prior to filing this complaint. As a result, we were unable to address this situation previously. Upon receipt of Ms.******** ********** our office added her phone number to our permanent internal Do-Not-Call list. Accordingly, she will no longer be contacted by our office at that number.
Notwithstanding the above, our office has placed a courtesy hold on Ms. ********* accounts while she works to resolve this matter with ******************************. We hope this serves to clarify the issue raised and apologize for any inconvenience this misunderstanding may have caused.
