First email sent to Harris and Harris 10/18/2024 and again on 10/25/2024. I am disputing violation charges for Oklahoma Turnpike travel on 6/5/2022 at 10:49am and 5/27/2022 at 11:24am. I have attached a copy of my **** toll statement, the statement shows I paid these tolls to ****. I have not received a response to my dispute, however, I do continue to receive collection texts that I do not owe. I'm unsure what else I need to do in order to get this resolved, but it needs to be taken care of ****. I have asked Oklahoma Turnpike to help with this but basically, they said it is now with Harris and Harris and I have to dispute.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I attached a copy of the statement from my **** each time I contacted them. Why would a statement that shows the changes for the tolls not work for Harris and Harris. The point is I have already paid these tolls with my toll account. I do not owe for what I have already paid. No resolution from Harris and Harris, only push back on something that I already paid. And they have yet to respond to any of messages to them. Do I need to contact an attorney? I will not pay for something that I have already been charged for and paid for. The proof was included in all my emails including the one to the BBB.

Upon a review of our records, it appears that Ms. ******* phone number was erroneously associated with an account that was placed with our office for collection by a government entity for a third party with similar demographic information. Upon receipt of the complaint we immediately removed Ms. ******* phone number from the account and our office has not placed any additional calls to her since that date.
Our office has also added Ms. ******* phone number ending in 1999 to our permanent internal Do-Not-Call list.Accordingly, she will no longer be contacted by our office at that number. We hope this serves to clarify the issue raised and apologize for any inconvenience this misunderstanding may have caused.

I have received two collections notifications from *********************************************** , ***** ******************************************************. *********** ****************** The first was issued in March of 2024. The second was issued 10/09/2024. The notifications: "We are trying to collect a debt that you owe ********* RETAIL ********." When the first notice was received,, I contacted ********* to verify the debt as I have never received any billing directly from *********. I was assured that I had no outstanding balance. It was also verified that such a debt could only be created if a person used their mail order services. I do not. ********* advised me to ignore the notice. They their is no such debt on their records and I am in good standing. I also contacted my ***************** provider. They also assured me that there was no such debt or billing associated with either ********* or ***********************************************. I discarded the first notice after also researching ***********************************************. I was unable to find anything to indicate that it was a legitimate notification. I did not contact *********************************************** as I do not want to "open the door" to additional scamming. I want this bogus collection action negated. Money was taken from my account to collect a debt as I was told, I had no knowledge that it would be taken I called and asked if it could be reversed and if I can just make a payment arrangement I was told no and the lady was rude and talked to me like I was stupid and I dont appreciate that. If they took this to court and ordered it I was told that it can still be reversed and settled by making an arrangement. Im on short term disability right now and they took all the money I had left with no warning and didnt care to discuss an arrangement and or refunding my money. As Mr. ****** is aware, these accounts are related to unpaid income taxes for 2016 and 2019 tax years. Harassment by Harris and Harris Despite Proof of Payment and Violation of Do Not Call Registry Complaint Details:I am filing this complaint on behalf of my grandmother, who is experiencing ongoing harassment from Harris and Harris regarding a debt they claim is owed to ************. My grandmother. ****** *********, paid her bill in full to Aspen Dental in May 2023, as confirmed by the receipt in her possession.Despite her assurances to Harris and Harris that this debt was settled, they continue to contact her persistently on her cell phone. Her number is registered on the National Do Not Call list, and she has repeatedly requested that Harris and Harris stop calling her, as she does not owe any additional money. This ongoing contact is causing her significant distress.We are requesting the following actions:1. Immediate cessation of all communication with my grandmother regarding this matter, in compliance with her request and her Do Not Call registry status.2. Verification with ************ that her account has been paid in full.3. I was contacted by *********************************************** collection agency today. I was informed this was an attempt to collect an unpaid debt of $91.99 for Spectrum, internet and cable company. I explained I had already worked with ********, paying them not only once but twice, attempting to resolve the issue. I asked the agent what payment support was needed but the collection agent was only interested in receiving payment for the claimed amount due of $91.99. Unable to resolve on my own, my daughter called *********************************************** directly to assist in the resolution of the claimed amount due. My daughter was instructed by the collection agent to have me dialed into the called to give her permission to talk to the collection agent on my behalf. As my daughter was outlining the timing and amounts paid to Spectrum, she realized her explanation was futile. History: I moved from one apartment to another on the same day. Could the last payments made to my old-closed Spectrum account, *************, acct# ********************* have been recorded erroneously to my new Spectrum account, *****************# ******************? After spending a significant amount of time on the call trying to explain the extra payments made to resolve this account my daughter gave up and agreed to pay (yet another) $91.99, personally, in an effort to close the case, only asking for a receipt as support to finally resolve this issue once and for all. The collection agent replied they do not issue invoices or receipts. My daughter then asked why? And again, the agent gave the same explanation, "We do not issue receipts". My daughter then asked if she could make an online payment directly to *********************************************** to pay and resolve this issue, knowing a confirmation number would be generated. The collection agent provided the company website: **************. The call ended. If I feel I am being harassed, then I am being harassed.This Scam Artist is much worse than a thirsty telemarketer.Having my phone on do not disturb has made me miss two urgent phone calls.If I allow the phone to ring, he will call like the world is coming to an end.I never spoke to him but since he has abused my phone numbers and time, he doesn't deserve a conversation. I put a complaint in and BBB stated on 10/28 that they sent my complaint to the business. On 11/04 BBB sent me a message saying they closed the case since they have not heard back from me. The last time I checked, I had a certain amount of days to respond to BBB complaints. If there was a question for me then I missed it but this complaint is real and I would like it to continue being filed and to continue receiving assistance. #******** Harris and Harris Limited, by ***** ***** is actually playing on my phone. We are in receipt of your complaint dated October 18, 2024 pertaining to the above captioned matter. We have had an opportunity to review the file and feel that there is an amicable resolution.
As indicated in our initial response, our records show that ********************************** placed two accounts for Ms. ******* with our office for collection between February 12, 2024 and July 15, 2024. Validation notices of these account were mailed to Ms. ******* between February 16, 2024 and July 19, 2024. Upon receipt of the complaint we immediately removed Ms. ******* phone number from the account and our office has not placed any additional calls or text messages to her since that date. Please note that Ms. ******* did not request that we stop callings or sending text messages prior to filing this complaint. As a result, we were unable to address this situation previously. Upon receipt of Ms. ******** complaint, our office added her phone number to our permanent internal Do-Not-Call list. Accordingly, she will no longer be contacted by our office at that number.
Notwithstanding the above, our office has placed a courtesy hold on Ms. ******** account while she works to resolve this matter with **********************************. We hope this serves to clarify the issue raised and apologize for any inconvenience this misunderstanding may have caused.
