On 2/10/25 I deposited $5000 USD by wire transfer. I received an email from someone called *** that due to suspected fraud they would close my account and return my money. I never received an explanation of that decision and since Strike abruptly closed my account I had no way to communicate with the company. $4734.46 was returned. However since Strike closed the account before I could buy Bitcoin, they should not have taken the $264.54. The resolution I am requesting is refund of that remaining $264.54.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond on behalf of Zap Solutions, Inc. d/b/a Strike to complaint ID #********, submitted by ****** ***** (the Complaint).  In her Complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Ms. ***** alleges that she deposited $5,000 to Strike, $4,734.46 was returned to her after her account was closed, and she is requesting that Strike refund her the remaining the difference.

Strike believes that additional facts around ******************** will help clarify why the amount Strike returned to her was not the full $5,000 she initially deposited.  According to our records, Ms. ***** created a Strike account on January 4, 2025 and agreed to Strikes Terms of Service (*****************************************).  On February 10, 2024, she deposited $5,000 via wire deposit and on February 14, 2024 paid a $39.19 fee to convert those funds into bitcoin ($4,960.81 / ?**********).

When Ms. ***** attempted to send this bitcoin off of the Strike platform on February 14, 2024, Strike restricted her activity.  This was due to Ms. ****** prior response on a wire questionnaire that was being guided by a third-party and previously stating that she did not want to send bitcoin off the Strike platform (but then trying to do so).  Had Strike not restricted Ms. ****** activity, it is possible she could have lost funds due to a fraud or a scam.  As a result, Strike restricted Ms. ****** account.

********************** converted Ms. ****** bitcoin back to U.S. Dollars (subject to a fee), and the remaining balance was returned to the linked bank account.  The reason why the amount returned to her was not the original $5,000 she deposited was due to conversion fees (US dollars to bitcoin and bitcoin to US dollars), exchange rates, and a wire return fee.

I am filing this complaint regarding an unresolved issue involving Strike and ***************, in which $5,000 of my funds have not been returned despite multiple attempts to resolve the matter. On January 8, 2024, my Strike account was unexpectedly closed. I received an email from a Strike representative named Ash, but I was not provided any explanation for the closure. I immediately responded to the email and requested that my funds be returned to my *************** account. However, to this day, my funds have not been returned.Ash directed me to contact my bank, which I did. When I spoke to ***************, they informed me that Strike has possession of the funds and must return them. However, Strike has not taken any action to process the return, and *************** has also failed to take responsibility for resolving the ********* this point, both entities are failing to acknowledge possession of my money, and my funds have essentially vanished with neither company willing to assist me. I am seeking immediate intervention from your office to investigate and ensure that my funds are rightfully returned.I have attached a detailed letter outlining my attempts to resolve this issue for your reference. Please let me know the next steps in addressing this matter.

    Business Response

Strike has no affiliation with "******* ****" and Ms. ******* may be subject to a potential impersonation scam, as we do not return customer funds via ***** gift cards.  To the extent Ms. ******* believes she is the victim of a scam, Strike strongly recommends that she report it to her local authorities.

Strike also refers Mr. ****** back to our original response with respect to the remaining $6,535.49 balance she holds in her Strike account.  As noted in our response letter, given that the current bank account that is linked to her Strike account is closed, ********************** needs a new bank account to be able to send the funds to.  Ms. ******* can login to her Strike account, re-verify her identify for security purposes, and add a new bank account.  Once those steps are complete, she can withdrawn her $6,535.49 balance to that new bank account.  If she has any questions or needs assistance to complete this process, Strike's Customer Support team is available to assist.

Thank you.   I have been pulling teeth with this outfit and feel that they are not ethical.   I had asked them to send me a check with my funds, but they responded that the bank money was drawn from must recall the funds.  That was *************** and I no longer have that bank as they have closed me for fraudulent activity. I would like funds mailed to me at *************************; Rd,  Renton WA  98058-9504.   Thank you. Kareena Beckner

    Business Response

Strike strongly disagrees with Ms. ********* allegation that it has acted in an unethical manner; Strike has responded to Ms. ********* complaint to the BBB in timely manner and provided specific instructions to Ms. ******* about how to claim the remaining balance in her account.

Strike understands that Ms. ******* no longer has her *************** account and that such account has been closed.  That is why Strike has instructed Ms. ******* to login to the Strike app to link a new bank account to her ********************** account.  Once she does so, as explained in Strike's responses to her Complaint, she has the ability to withdraw her funds to that new bank account.  Given the third-party scam Ms. ******* has experienced, Strike believes this is the most secure way to ensure Ms. ********* funds are safely returned to her.  As noted in our prior responses, if Ms. ******* has any questions or difficultly with this process, Strike's support team is available to assist her.

I was victim to a scam going back to may 2024, con got me to use strike app to wire over $10000 over several different transactions. I figured based on the nature of crypto i have no recourse for most of that. Move to December 2024 and Jan ************************************************************** the strike app and then i wanted to withdraw some *** and they asked about a previous wallet address - i explained to them what happened and they replied, sorry we are closing your account cutting my ability to even log in anymore to get information on how to tell my bank i need the recent deposits reversed. Based on all the other complaints it sounds like these people are just another criminal enterprise. Which oddly has 1000s of positive ratings on the play store. I can't find all the amounts in my records and since they closed my account to CTAsses I can't get the rest of the information.500+2000+1750+1800+3500+800+500+950+1200+500+250

I got the app strike. It was recommended to me. I was sending bitcoin actually to ***** for a payment but it wouldnt wouldnt work for me so I texted ***** and he said give me your password etc. and he said hed try it and I dont know if its sent or not but I ended up getting a text back from them through STRIKE that they were questioning the ** address because it said somewhere I dont know ***** somewhere ***** and I said everything was fine and then all of a sudden I get these text through STRIKE that said were not letting it go through. It was $1200 and they were checking everything out and then I kept asking them and then they said youve done wrong things on our app and were shutting were closing your account, so I kept sending them you know doing support for them and I keep getting the same answer your emailing with the wrong email and I kept explaining it to them and I havent heard anything so they have my $1200 and they havent told me why they shut my account down. They just said I didnt follow their rules, but Ive never done it before so I dont know what the rule is and I also have like $89 in cash in there too, so I have these emails from them. All they did was close the account and not tell me why. I cant get into the account and they still have my money.

I have.been charged $50 from my purchase with them and was told I will not have the access to the Bitcoin I bought until June 12th!! That is ridiculous and unfair. Their advertisements within their a** states that the transfers will be and can be accessed quite soon after purchase. I would never have initiated a transfer of $50 for my bank account with them for a purchase of Bitcoin if I knew that I had to wait over 2 weeks to even have access to it. My bank is sucked in the funds so why does no one have access to it for 2 weeks? I want that $50 return to me immediately. I would no longer like to do business with this company. I feel like their claims are too entice users to spend money that they can then use for the two weeks that they say it takes to settle for whatever they choose I don't know longer believe in their business morals or practices.

I fell victim to a crypto investment scam and lost ********* USD, money was transferred from my Strike account and I reached out to Strike for assistance or reimbursement since I hold them liable for failing to protect me and comply with AML and CTF regulations, by allowing transactions to go trough while pattern was obviously indicating to a "Pig Butchering" scam as described by ******. I have been trying to get verified through this company for several days now and they keep denying me saying that "your request was denied as we were unable to authenticate your account. The account verification process is based on an assessment of different qualifications. Due to compliance reasons, we are unable to provide further information. Our customer support team can only confirm that we sent this message and assist with technical issues only." I gave them everything that they requested... My birth date, social security number, a picture of the front and back of my driver's license with my correct address and they still want to tell me I did this two times and finally the third time what I had wrote you that was quoted in the quotation marks was the last thing they told me telling me that I cannot sign up because my credentials don't match and that's a bold-faced lie ?? I could be making mad money right now with this company and they're going to deny me the ability to do so that could be a million dollars right there in my pocket through them and that really makes me mad and they owe me for denying what is rightfully my opportunity to do so ??????
