I am writing this complaint because The Mom Project (***) sells itself to employers that if we pay them we will get access to a community of talent to hire from. They charge you $40K+ a year to have access to a diverse community of 650K+ candidates, receive qualified candidates in 24 hours, and access to information. They provide information/knowledge but they do not have an active community to hire from and you do not get qualified candidates. When we signed up, we had 5 job slots to post jobs to review candidates from their community. We were told their community was only US based and they had lots of people in similar roles we would post. When reviewing applicants, they were from all over the world, the candidates information was incomplete and we received no qualified candidates. In 1 year we hired no one. We only had under 10 people actually do an initial interview but no one made it past that. Many candidates we did contact didnt even know who the mom project was. Their technology platform offered to post roles and view candidates was extremely hard to use and caused my team to spend too much time in a platform that didnt give results so after a few months we stopped using it. The *** team continued to try other avenues to help us find candidates which included their recruiting service and filtering candidates for us but all alternate solutions fell flat. We expressed these concerns to *** and tried to get money back at the end of our contract on 1 invoice but they have denied our request stating we didnt engage in their platform enough and they tried everything. At first we did try to find candidates in their platform, but they do not have a community which is what they were selling. Overall, I appreciate the effort and idea they have about trying to help companies and mom candidates to find jobs but they are offering something they do not have which is an active community. I felt like we were test subjects to an idea that wasnt real.
