4/3/25 I was checking my credit today 4/3 , I checked it periodically. I noticed that Midwest clinic send some bill to collections of $42 dollars. Ive not been to no Midwest clinic for a year, I dont owe any money to anyone. I spoke months back with a woman name ********************** Patient Experience) her number is ************ .about Midwest clinic keeps about a bill that I dont owe, Ms. ******* told me should would take care of it I expect for them to remove this from my credit and call the collection company to clear this up, or I will have to take this further until this gets all cleared up.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: since this company decided to put this on my credit which I dont owe any kind of money by law you cant put this on my credit. Going to file a complaint with this **** cfpb so they handle this case for me and make them remove it plus Im going after the collection company as well.

Midwest Express Clinic requires a card on file prior to receiving services. Bills are mailed and if unpaid 21 days after statement date, the card on file will be charged. My card was charged before he 21 days and I didnt receive a bill before my card was charged. The bill arrived 12 days after the statement date. My card was charged 11 days after the statement date. Billing and collection practices are unfair and deceptive and the clinic did not follow their own policies and procedures. My bill did not arrive timely to substantiate charges and the clinic charges my card at a time earlier then dictated by policy and procedures.Business Response

Hello, After I left my initial complaint, I was called by the customer advocate center and they refunded money that was taken out of my account without my permission. I was told my card number was going to be deleted as well. A day later, they take double the amount out of my account! My bill was $72, they took it out of my account without my authorization, refunded me $72, then a day later took out $144! I am furious with this and will be calling my bank. This is such fraudulent behavior. I have never had this issue at any urgent care.Business Response

I went to Midwest express clinic for wheezing. I have not received any billing nor can I find a statement on their online portal. I received a $150 charge on my credit card. On my intake paperwork it stated I needed to put a card in file but would not be charged until after I received a paper statement and only if o hadnt paid my balance in 20 days. I visited the ****, ******* location on 2/13/2025 with my daughter. We are self pay and the staff charged me $125. When I was leaving, they informed me they accidentally put my payment on the River North store and they need my card again to charge the $125 to ****. They stated they'd refund the other $125 for the incorrect error on their part. Since then, I have not been issued a refund. I've been on hold with the billing department for hours each day with no answer. I tried to do the call back and message option and never received a return call. I also did an online complaint and still have heard nothing. I called the **** office and they said they don't see the refund, but there's nothing they can do - I have to call billing. This company does not have enough phone support. I have a billing issue and I called the appropriate number on the website. I was on hold for 20 minutes. They then said they couldn't help me. I called the number they provided *************) and waited for over an hour with no answer. I also submitted a request online to no avail. Please do not do business with this company. I visited Midwest Express Clinic for an health issue on November 3rd. Before any procedures, I inquired about potential costs. They checked my ID and insurance details and gave me documents to fill out. I insisted on not proceeding without clarity on costs, and they confirmed that there would be no charges. After verifying this again, I completed the paperwork and indicated my readiness for examination. They then presented another document for my credit card, explaining that it was a standard procedure for any additional treatments, potentially charging up to $150. Despite assurances of no initial charges, I filled out the form and proceeded with my visit.A few weeks later, I received an insurance letter requesting a charge of $162. To clarify this, I went to the clinic and spoke with a lady at the front desk. After checking her system, she stated that the fee was related to my visit. I reminded her about my initial visit and that a staff member had told me I would not be charged for the visit, but only for any additional treatment that might be required. The lady then told me that the person who had handled my case had given me incorrect information and he has no longer worked there. She declared that since I had signed a paper agreeing to pay any charges, I was obligated to pay the fee. Then I asked to speak with someone in authority and file a complaint. In response, she, with a mocking attitude, stated that she was the manager and had listened to my complaint but I still had to pay the fee. I then left the clinic and sought to resolve my grievance through different communication channels. Subsequently, I attempted to contact Midwest Express Clinic's customer service, billing, and patient advocacy units but I couldn't get any solution. During this time, I discovered $150 charge on my credit card, without prior notification. This experience has left me feeling misled and wronged. I find this situation unfair and request a resolution to this grievance.Business Response
