This company is a rip off. They send you a waiver form and had my vet sign off on it. They waited weeks to respond to several attempts to message them to ensure they received it. To only tell me it was done one day earlier than they require and the deadline was over. Great timing! Wait until The expiration date to respond to Tell me I had To do it one day later. I could have went back to the vet to Complete it but that was t what their goal was. Its obvious after reading these reviews this is how they operate. I will be disputing this and canceling my Coverage to Go with someone else. You all should be shut Down.Figo Pet Insurance, LLC

Figo Pet Insurance misleads customers into believing they have reliable coverage, only to unjustly deny claims, leaving policyholders with unexpected and unaffordable vet ******** Experience I purchased a Figo policy through ******, trusting their reputation. When my dog, ****, suffered an isolated gastrointestinal issue, Figo denied my claim, falsely stating it was pre-existing, despite clear medical evidence from my veterinarian, Dr. **** (*****************************), who explicitly confirmed:"Ps recent visit for GI issues of ****** stools and vomiting is an isolated incident and has not been a cause of any of Ps previous exams for digestive issues. P has presented previously with negative ***** tests and unremarkable radiographs, except for gas in the stomach. This recent case is not related to any previous GI issues and is not chronic."Despite this, Figo wrongfully denied my claim to avoid payout.Pattern of Deceptive Practices I am not alone. Thousands of pet owners have experienced similar denials, as reflected in Figos 1-star BBB rating and 1.5-star Consumer Affairs rating. This systematic fraud maximizes profits at pet owners' expense, forcing many to surrender pets to shelters due to unaffordable vet costs.Formal Actions Requested I urge the BBB to:1.Investigate Figo for fraudulent and deceptive practices.2.Hold them accountable for misleading advertising and wrongful denials.3.Issue a consumer warning about their exploitative policies.Escalation of Complaint I have also filed a formal complaint with the California Department of Insurance and will escalate this matter to:The Governor of California for stricter pet insurance regulations.State senators and consumer protection groups to expose these predatory practices.****** leadership to reconsider their endorsement of *********** media and consumer advocacy platforms to raise awareness.I urge the BBB to take swift action before more pet owners fall victim.Figo Pet Insurance, LLC

Worst company I have ever dealt with! The communication with them is terrible. I rescued a dog in 2023. So far they havent covered hardly anything since having this insurance. Recently my vet found a tumor under my dogs chin that is growing rapidly and needs to come off immediately. I was told to file a claim to see if it is covered so I sent all information to insurance then was told you cant file a claim till procedure is performed, but I could get a prior authorization to see if it is covered ( that is all I wanted to since it is ***** surgery) I have checked multiple times and was told the same thing that it takes time, so I have let insurance go inactive due to the ongoing issues I have had with them. Why pay ***** a month if you are not going to pay anything. So today I was told since it is inactive ( which it wasnt when I started prior authorization) they cant check for prior authorization approval until reinstatement is paid. I told them I was waiting to see if anything was covered and if it wasnt I would not be returning back to Figo . Again was told they cant tell me anything until reinstatement was paid. Im so done with this company! Just the lack of communication between me and this insurance needs to be rectified going forward! Scam. I rescued a dog and got the insurance because I thought it'd be good in case he had issues layer on. My experience has been they determine everything as a pre-existing condition. I submitted all required vet information. He had an ear infection when I rescued him. Now they denied a claim for a bump, likely a bug bite, on his right hip because he had an ear infection???? I appealed and that was their response to deny the claim. Mind you this would only go toward the deductible...no $ from them. I've filed a second appeal. I'll see what happens. Frankly, I won't be renewing. SCAM...they don't even cover preventative care. Save your money.Figo Pet Insurance, LLC

Disgusting. Absolute trash company and insurance. So typical that you pay them forever and the first time you file a claim in over a year they just deny it. Absolute terrible customer service, specifically Crystal, who then obviously couldnt connect me to a supervisor. In reality how is a new rash consider a pre existing condition when my dog needed antibiotics. This is delirious. Company should be shut down via bad faith operations, wheeling and stealing money from clients and having the audacity to raise the premium even when you never needed a vet for years. Absolute disgrace. Go anywhere but here. Seriously a new skin irritation that required antibiotic spray and shampoo and put on antibiotics... but claim it's an allergy with a pre-existing condition? paid them $300 this year. my pet was attacked and needed care. vet bill was $990. my insurance plan was to be reimbursed 70% after my $500 deductible. i got back $80 total.i can not even cancel on their website, and call to cancel - they put me on hold forever and do not answer. Figo pet insurance (underwritten by Independent American Insurance Company, a Delaware Insurance ****************************** **************************************) We were convinced by their sales team, to purchase full insurance 2 policies. One for regular annual exams and vaccines and one for surgical procedures their 'Preferred Policy". We have been paying $298.19 MONTHLY, on time since January 2022 . Annual Coverage is $10,000.Thus far we have been reimbursed a mere $135.00. There is always a reason they cannot pay more than a third of the bill for the separate Wellness Policy. We literally now have 23 pdf insurance plan documents explaining the insurance. We have been sent 11 emails with VCA documents beginning on May 8 through June 25th. The customer service person changes almost every email stating they have not received the adobe pdf documents with the SOAP notes, which have been repeatedly sent. The lag time is absurd and out dog is worse. This is inhumane. Period.Figo Pet Insurance, LLC
