    I have been a customer with Figo for over 5 years. I have all 3 of my pets covered by their policies. There was an issue with my payment method on 6/13, I received notice that the payment had not gone through, so I reattempted on 6/14. I received no notice that the payment had failed a second time. No email, no alert in the app, no phone call. I emailed them about adjusting my other pet's policy, and happened to ask about adjusting the pet's policy which had the payment issue. Only then did they tell me the following:"*****'s policy was cancelled as of 7/6/2024 due to non-payment. It appears that the payment attempt on 6/9 and on 6/14 were returned for insufficient funds. The amount to reinstate *****'s policy today is $54.81 ($39.81 premium + $15.00 reinstatement fee). Additionally, if reinstated after today, you will also owe an additional $39.81 for the payment due 7/9. If your billing information has not changed from the bank account ending in x0900 and you would like me to go ahead and process your payment, just reply to let us know and wed be happy to help. Otherwise, if your payment information has changed, we would ask that you please call us at ************ to get this updated and your policy reinstated. *****'s policy will only be able to be reinstated until 8/5/2024. After that date you would have to start a new policy with new waiting periods and new evaluations of pre-existing conditions."This is clearly extortion, I believe they are trying to justify jacking up the rates for a senior cat, and looking to get out of having to pay out anything during the new waiting period.

    Figo pet insurance (underwritten by Independent American Insurance Company, a Delaware Insurance ****************************** **************************************) We were convinced by their sales team, to purchase full insurance 2 policies. One for regular annual exams and vaccines and one for surgical procedures their 'Preferred Policy". We have been paying $298.19 MONTHLY, on time since January 2022 . Annual Coverage is $10,000.Thus far we have been reimbursed a mere $135.00. There is always a reason they cannot pay more than a third of the bill for the separate Wellness Policy. We literally now have 23 pdf insurance plan documents explaining the insurance. We have been sent 11 emails with VCA documents beginning on May 8 through June 25th. The customer service person changes almost every email stating they have not received the adobe pdf documents with the SOAP notes, which have been repeatedly sent. The lag time is absurd and out dog is worse. This is inhumane. Period.
