If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Very unethical, sneaky business practices. I had a 2 bedroom along with my roommate. We signed a lease starting in June 2022 and ending a the end of May 2023. When 2023 came, we both mentioned our desire to renew the lease. We were led to believe we were going to be able to. Suddenly we started getting accusations from *****, the landlord, about having bugs which was not true. We had her come inspect the unit which was kept clean and was bug free. She did come but said nothing. We asked for proof of these pests and we were never provided with any. It started spiraling from there. Up until the end of May and our lease, we were told that we could renew our lease and when the lease was up, we were suddenly told we had 30 days to leave and they would not be renewing our lease. In *******, you cannot do this, as it's required by laws/ordinances that tenants are given at least 6 months notice and, if this is not provided, tenants have an additional 6 months after the lease ends to find another place. We let them know about this. We received threats about law suits, etc. after providing this information. We tried to stay until we found a place. While still moving things from one unit to our new one, we returned to the unit to find that the locks had been changed. We were not given a reason for this. Because of the threatening nature of their comments, we did not feel comfortable asking to meet up with them and they refused to leave the door unlocked for us to retrieve our belongings. Between my roommate and I, we lost about 90% of our things. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a landlord and this is only the tip of the iceburg!
