I moved into a unit with this management company March 2024. Three days after move in, I began to notice dead cockroaches in the window seals. I submitted a request for an exterminator immediately. I began to notice live activity in early April, again I submitted a work order for treatment. The contracted exterminator expressed how this building has been an ongoing cockroach issue, and he suggested to treat each unit but the landlord declined. With that being said, he stated the problem would more than likely persist and gave me his direct contact information-therefore I dont have to wait weeks before a technician is contacted by management. 2-3 months go by with me directly calling the exterminator, when suddenly he stops taking my calls. I then continue submitting request for treatment month after month with no progression towards a solution. Multiple Unanswered, cancelled requests, or technician contacted in progress. I purchased over $100 in home products to help with the situation, yet I continue to see activity- now spreading to all rooms of unit, not just kitchen. Around late September a notice was posted on front door for building monthly treatment. The exterminator treated my building 2x in 3 weeks and came routinely the next month early (October). Relived, I began to see results for about 2 weeks. On 11/4 I spotted 5 adult and 3 baby cockroaches in my kitchen and 2 in bathroom. Disgusted and frustratingly, I submitted another request expressing how this has been a 9 month ongoing issue and requested treatment. Request went ignored. 2 weeks later, a notice posted for treatment on 11/22. I watched my home security system when maintenance entered my unit, but no treatment was conducted. The only changed the filter for furnace and checked all smoke detectors. I then made an update on my previous request on 12/2/24 and was told from the property manager, the soonest they would come for treatment is 12/19/2024- which would be a month and half from request.

On Friday August 23rd at 4:22PM I received a link from **** ******* to complete a application for the apartment complex that I currently reside in. I submitted my application on Friday August 23rd at 5:37PM. On Saturday August 24th at 9:59AM, I received a call from **** ******* explaining that my application was denied because I had submitted false pay stubs that were indeed valid. I asked him why would he insinuate that when I know for a fact that I did not submit fake pay stubs and that I had uploaded these pay stubs directly from ADP. He proceeds to say that he knows the pay stubs are fake because he has never seen a pay period that starts on a Monday and ends on a Monday and that the font on the pay stubs were not consistent. The call got disconnected, I proceeded to text Bill on Saturday at 10:16 AM and ask if I could send in my bank statements that shows that I have direct deposits that are deposited into my account twice a month from the same company that is on my pay stubs. I asked if I could send those bank statements to prove that my pay stubs are indeed valid. **** proceeded to text back at 10:20AM and requested me to send my bank statements via email to ************************** I forwarded over my bank statements and even circled my direct deposits on each statement so that there would be no confusion. **** followed up with me on Sunday August 25th at 8:56 AM and informed me that my application was still denied and that my bank statements further more prove that my pay stubs were fake because my deposit dates on my bank statements did not match my payment dates. Due to they type of financial institution that I use my pay checks are always deposited earlier than my actual pay date. He also did not call and verify my employment even after I provided all of my job information on my application. I also offered to send him my executive director's card with his information to prove that my employment is valid and matches the documents I submitted.

Please see Ms. ********* application which shows her pay stubs that she submitted and her June and ********* statements attached.   Below are the reasons why we believe the paystubs were fraudulent.

-The font on all 3 pay stubs with her name and address are different then the font for the rest of her pay stub.

    - Ms. ********* pay stub with a period from 7/1 through 7/15 is a 15 day pay period which we have never seen in the hundreds of applications we evaluate yearly.  Also that pay period is from a Monday to a Monday 2 weeks later.

-Ms. ********* pay stub for the following pay period shows a pay period from 7/16 through 7/31 which is a 16 day pay period, which we've also never seen and now these days are different from the previosu pay period.  There are from a Tuesday to a Wed 2 weeks later.  ]

    - We have never seen pay periods days change from one pay period to the next.'

    - ************** pay stub with the pay period from 7/1 through 7/15 it shows a pay date of 7/31 but on ****************** statement that she provided it shows that the funds were deposited into her account 2 days prior on 7/29.  Usually funds are deposited 1 day prior.

    - We require prospects to submit proof of income for the previous 60 days.  Ms. ******* submitted her application on 8/24 but never provided pay stubs for Aug or bank statements for ************************************ also has 2 outstanding balances with Comed that are in collections.  Once for $469 and another for $469.  It may be very difficult for a prospect who has 2 outstanding Comed bills to get the electricity service account in their name when they move into a unit.  This would be a problem because per a lease for a unit in the property that she was applying for, the tenant is required to have the Electricity Utility in their name.

Please let me know if there is anything else needed on our end.

I am rejecting this response because: **** did not complete any form of employment verification. If he would've contacted my employer he would know that this is a legitimate non profit organization that I've worked for the last 2 years. I have 2 years of paystubs that look exactly like the paystubs I submitted and 2 years of bank statements to match. **** also never mentioned anything about the two collections on my credit. Had he mentioned this, I would have provided documentation proving that I have made payments on both of these collections and I am in the process of paying both of them off. I have attached The Kindness Campaign's 501c3 form and the tax exempt form. I have ample documentation to prove that this is a legit non profit. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *******
