UPDATE AS OF 6/3/2024 ******************* aka ***************** BLATANTLY LIED ABOUT BEING A LICENSED GENERAL CONTRACTOR SO HE MISREPRESENTS HIMSELF!***** RETURNED $1900 BUT HE IS STILL HOLDING $400 WHICH IS THE BALANCE OF MY $2300 DEPOSIT THAT I GAVE HIM IN GOOD FAITH.In addition, the ********************* address that he uses on his contract and on social media is questionable.I found ******************* of American Roofing and Construction Solutions on Angi's List.During our only walkthrough on May 23, 2024, he verbally told my brother and I, that he is a licensed general contractor. And, before he left, I asked him again, and ***** stated yeah Im licensed and registered with the city of ************* made multiple attempts to try and force me to sign a separate contract and give him another deposit for a different project that would start simultaneously. Yet, he continued to ignore my efforts for him to provide me with proof that he has a current general contractors license. On June 3, 2024, I asked ***** to refund my $2300 deposit based on him not having a license with the city of *******. Initially, he agreed to refund my money, however, shortly thereafter, ***************** me $1900 of the $2300 deposit but he refuses to return my $400 balance.The job that I hired ***** to do requires a licensed general contractor. And, I was told that no permits were needed but I found out that permits and drawings are needed so I asked for a full refund considering he does not have a general contractors license with the city of ******* and because of that he cannot pull a permit.In his text messages this morning, ***** is threatening to put a lien on my property as if I owe him money. At this point, I honestly fear for my safety and for my families well being because ***** presents himself as a desperate, disgruntled and hostile contractor who is out for revenge simply because he does not have a general contractors license with the city of *******.
